  • Please help with assigning user to a group in AD using dbms_ldap

    Dear gurus of Apex and LDAP!
    Please help me a bit.
    I managed to create any user in AD from Apex using dbms_ldap package and set many of his attributes. But I cannot set that my user belongs to specific group, let's say MY_GROUP. I guess the name of attribute for group is 'member' or 'memberOf', so I tried them both in the same way as I've done for other attributes:
    v_vals(1) := 'MY_GROUP';
    DBMS_LDAP.populate_mod_array(v_array, DBMS_LDAP.MOD_ADD, 'member', v_vals);
    I've got LDAP client/server error: CONSTRAINT violation. 000020B5: AtrErr: DSID-031516FC, #1: 0: 000020B5:
    DSID-031516FC, problem 1005 (CONSTRAINT_ATT_TYPE), DATA 0, Att 1f (MEMBER)
    v_vals(1) := 'MY_GROUP';
    DBMS_LDAP.populate_mod_array(v_array, DBMS_LDAP.MOD_ADD, 'memberOf', v_vals);
    I've got LDAP client/server error: DSA IS unwilling TO perform. 0000209A: SvcErr: DSID-031A0929, problem 5003 (WILL_NOT_PERFORM), DATA 0
    After that I've tried to extend group name to string, which is shown in LDAP browser for attribute 'memberOf' (when I've added it manualy):
    v_vals(1) := 'CN=MY_GROUP,OU=GROUPS,OU=Allianz,DC=allianz,DC=com';
    DBMS_LDAP.populate_mod_array(v_array, DBMS_LDAP.MOD_ADD, 'member', v_vals);
    I've got LDAP client/server error: OBJECT CLASS violation. 0000207D: UpdErr: DSID-03150913, problem 6002 (OBJ_CLASS_VIOLATION), DATA 0
    v_vals(1) := 'CN=MY_GROUP,OU=GROUPS,OU=Allianz,DC=allianz,DC=com';
    DBMS_LDAP.populate_mod_array(v_array, DBMS_LDAP.MOD_ADD, 'memberOf', v_vals);
    LDAP client/server error: DSA IS unwilling TO perform. 0000209A: SvcErr: DSID-031A0929, problem 5003 (WILL_NOT_PERFORM), DATA 0
    I've also tried some other variants (without 'CN=' and without 'OU=GROUPS,OU=Allianz'), but still no success.
    Search of this forum and even google didn't help either :(
    Please, help me to find the correct syntax for it or tell me if it's not possible.
    Thanx in advance,
    Vladimir

    Vladimir ,
    firstly the attributes member and memberOf are special attributes in AD having a set of predefined values. Hence an error will be thrown if you try to assign them values like 'MY_GROUP'. There are two basic solutions to this problem : Either you define an OU in your AD which will act as your 'MY_GROUP'. This is a quick fix solution and is not robust at all. The other solution is to add your own property in the tree , something like 'roleCode', you can then assign it any value you want.
    But the problem now is, AD does not allow addition of new attributes in the structure. You have to use ADAM in for this and you can specify a common linking mechanism between AD and ADAM now such as email address can act as the link between both the directories.
    Hope this helps

  • Please Help. Problem Assigning Datasource

    I created a test Master data Infoobject abc_xxx and loaded data and then after testing deleted it. Now when I am trying to assign  a new datasource to an existing Infosource from where I loaded data into the test Infoobject , I am getting error message that there there is no InfoProvider or data target named abc_xxx.
    Could anybody please help me out here?
    Thanks in advance.

    I am getting error message that there "there is no InfoProvider or data target named abc_xxx(name of Infoobject)"
    If you are not trying to use this infoobject, the above message should not appear at all.
    Please follow the following steps to assign a source system.
    1. Goto Source Systems and check the source system u want to use is in Active state.
    2. right-click on ur InfoSource -> Assign Datasource
    3. from the drop-down, selet ur source system
    4. choose a datasource if the source is r/3
    5. modify/change transfer structure/comm structure/transfer rules
    6. save n activate.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need help with assignment......due 10/13/06....PLEASE HELP!!

    Hi everyone,
    I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to check here for help first...I have the following assignment:
    Implement a method that will compute the present value of a stream of future payments that leaves a final balance. The parameters to the method will be the monthly payment, the annual interest rate, the number of months, and the final balance.
    You can compute this by working backwards from the final balance. Given the balance at the end of the month, add the payment and divide by (1 + monthly-rate). This will give the balance at the beginning of the month. Do this as many times as months. The resulting balance is the present value.
    This should also be tested. Do this by picking some values for the present value and using your function. Then, use the method from class to take the present value, the interest rate, the monthly payments and the number of months and compute the final balance. This should match the chosen value. Repeat this for several values of the parameters that you choose.
    I was able to use the method from class to compute the final balance, but I'm confused as to how to work it backwards. Here's my code so far...

    I don't understand what this line is doing:
    FIRST_VALUE (fn_get_person_id) -- sequence for the functionI have the impression that the only difference with my query is to select distinct values not to consider duplicates. Correct me if I'm wrong.
    To me this one should give the same result as your query:

  • HT201210 Can anyone tell me exactly what Error 23 is?! WHY does Apple assign an error # but then NOT explain what that is?! I'm trying to restore an iPhone 3G. Please help! Thx.

    I CANNOT restore my iPhone, so now I'm stuck with a useless iPhone because I can't complete Restore - because Error 23 keeps coming up! Ugh...it bugs the heck out of me, that Apple assigns an error number without explaining (a) what that IS, (b) taking or redirecting to a SPECIFIC troubleshoot page for THAT error. I've wasted lots of time doing all the stuff already suggested but Error 23 persists! Please help or I've just lost my lovely old-design 3G, which I really am loathe to give up for one of those ugly new boxy too-long slim things... (Which cost $200, 2 boot!)

    Thx BUT =as-said, I've tried ALL the suggestions - including reading through the link you just suggested/posted (but just for good measure, i've just re-read thru it again!). I noticed from this list the first time i read thru it, that Error 23 didn't appear anywhere on this list of various (numerous!) error numbers. So/ergo, i still don't know (a) what exactly this error IS, (b) how to fix/get past/resolve it.
    I don't have an Apple store anywhere near me. Even if I did, I wonder whether they would (a) be willing to (b) able to fix it @ the so-called Genius bar? Any thoughts on this? (Obviously, if there were an Apple store nearby, I'd go there & try; as-is, it would entail an extra trip & an expense costing as much as buying a new iPhone!)

  • HT4628 My Mac Air OSX10.8.5 won't connect to the internet as it says it has a self assigned IP address and thus cannot connect to the internet. I can only connect to a network by manually typing in the configuration specs. Please help.

    My mac air OSX10.8.5 won't connect to the internet. It says it has a 'self assigned IP address and therefore cannot connect to the internet'. Network diagnostics is unable to the solve the problem. It happened suddenly for no reason and now I cannot connect except by typing in the configuration settings manually. Please help me!

    Use the Airport Utility or log into your wireless device via http and ensure the DHCP/NAT service is enabled.  If accessing via HTTP, you will need to manually set an ip within your local subnet (eg: 192.168.0.x).

  • Please help me with my University assignment !!!

    Hi
    I really need help with my java assignment for university. Please look at the details of the assignment in the link below. I have to get this done by the 27th of this month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    http://mercury.tvu.ac.uk/sdv/sdv_ass2r.html
    Any links to tutorials would be brilliant.

    That reaction is kind of understandable by the way, do you have any idea just how many students try to get their homework done here, especially this time of the year?
    It would help us to help you if you told us what exactly is the problem you have. Asking for help in general is fruitless - no one has time to walk you through it.
    From the page you posted a link to, this is what you need to do first:    * build a hierarchy of classes to represent the different vehicle types:
              o build a class Vehicle to hold details common to all vehicles
                (see Week 5 Building a class)
              o extend class Vehicle to give the two classes
                Car holds details particular to a car
                Van holds details particular to a van
                (see Week 6 Extending a class)
        * build the main application class RentalCentre which:
              o has the method main so is the class which is to be run
                (see Weeks 5 and 6 - the test classes)
              o has refereneces to the vehicles held by the centre; this is an array of Vehicles
                (see Week 7 Arrays)Do you know how to do all of that? You are also given some code for those classes so you don't need to start from ground zero, I see. What about the rest, adding the definitions for methods and fields (or "attributes" like the page calls them) to the classes and implementing the methods?

  • Can someone please help me with a java assignment

    Hey all,
    I have a favor to ask I have a program that I need for my java class, I have the just of it but I can't figure out the rest, can anybody please help me here is the directions:
    Let's revisit fibonacci numbers, looking at it as a process involving iteration and arrays. Create an array fib[] of 101 elements. Make fib[0] = 0 and fib[1] = 1. Then, in an iterative process going from 2 to 100, compute fib[k]. These numbers get quite large; make it an array of double.
    Then, let the user select a number (such as 7) and have the application display the corresponding finbonacci number (in this case 13). Do this as often as the user wants. If a number larger than 100 is provided, display an error message, but don't terminate the program.
    Here is what I have so far: Please add on and feel free to return to me please, thank you:
    // This is an application that transforms numbers into their Fibonacci number
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class Fibonacci {
         public static void main( String args[] ){
              int k; //simple counter
              int numSize; // how many numbers were entered
              int theNum; // the number entered by the user
              String response; //response of the user
              // define the array
              double fib[] = new double[ 101 ];
              // read in the numbers into an array
              k = 0;
              response = JOptionPane.showInputDialog( "Enter the first number" );
              theNum = Integer.parseInt( response );
              while (theNum > 0){
                   if (theNum > 100)
              k++;
              fib [ 1 ] = 1;

  • Please help with Port Assignment issue!

    I have 5 rack mount tone modules connected to a keyboard controller each on seperate midi channels and seperate ports (Controller: Port 1, Midi 1, Module #1: Port 2, Midi 2, Module #2: Port 3, Midi 3 etc).
    Every time I chnge a port setting on one unit, it changes all of them on every track, so I get no audio output unless I manually assign each port whenever I want to play that track.
    Please! how do I assign independent port settings to each channel????
    Thanks

    Yep, that's it, they were all running from the same "generic" external MIDI environment, switch one, they all switch.
    I use a few external instruments and have a fairly well crafted environment I've developed over the past few years.

  • Please Help - Need Help with Buttons for GUI for assignment. URGENT!!

    Can someone please help me with the buttons on this program? I cannot figure out how to get them to work.
