PLEASE HELP ME PUT MPG MOVIES ON IPOD

Heres thet problem im having.... I have like 20 gigs worth of video that i wanted to put on my ipod and no matter what i do i cant figure out how to get the mpg videos on the ipod and have them include audio. I use quicktime and it will put the video portion, but just not audio.
I made another post and i tried the program "exporttoqt" and it works by only putting the video on like 75% of the screen, but the audio does work..
basically i need to know if anyone knows how to get mpg files to the ipod having video and audio together. I am using a mac so i cant download windows programs. thanks a lot.. if someone could help me out i would extremely appreciate it. thanks,

QTime Pro cannot handle "muxed" MPEG files. These files must either be transcoded to a intermediate file format by a third party program and then the intermediate file can be handled by QT Pro (or any number of other apps).

there is a good chance that this can be related to bad contact in USB lead.. e.g not enough power from IPOD to PC so that pc cannot recognise it. Where I work I get alot of USB devices on pc's that are not recognised and most of the time it is the connection to the device that is not good enough because the flat end of the USB adapter has been gradually bent over time just slightly and now contact is not good. It can also be todo with drivers or If you are using it through a USB hub.
so if it is not working through USB hub try direct. also try in back of PC as these Ports or direct access to main board to pc and would be less trouble some if there was a voltage loss from mainboard in pc to front of unit.

DESPERATE PLEASE HELP So my mother got herself an iPod touch 5g for Christmas and barely asked me to set it up last night, (BRAND NEW NOT OPENED YET).. I set it up not plugged into iTunes (directly on iPod). I was setting up a new iTunes account for her (got passed Wi-fi set up and location services) and as I was doing that, it mysteriously froze somehow. So I held the home button and power button down simultaneously, which I thought would restart the iPod/shut it down.. so it did, and it was on the apple logo screen for a LONG TIME.. and when I checked after a long time, it was black. I tried to turn it on, charge, and plug it into itunes (iMac computer) and it won't turn on!!!!! PLEASE HELP

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why is it difficult to put a movie on ipod nano?

I bought a new ipod nano (8gig) and i just want to put a movie on it. I am finding it difficult to do so through itunes 7.0. I called tech support and they said i needed a help drive. I thought it would be simple task. If any1 could help that would be great.

Assuming this nano is a new 3rd gen (you are posting in the forum for older iPod nanos which do not support video transfer and playback) try updating your iTunes to the latest version.

PLEASE HELP, My Real media Movies always stutter.

PLease if any one can help. My product is finished,
and on my pentium 4 it works great. But when ever any one with a
lesser procesor uses it the Compressed real Player movies stutter
and even stop at some points. they all work effrtless in a Real
Player movie player outside of a director movie. So it is director
that some how slows them down. Has this happened to any one else?

The problem is that your digital video files are compressed
with too
high a data rate. The higher the data rate the more work the
processor
has to perform. You may also find that a data rate that is
too high will
cause playback problems on slower CD readers.
I don't use real media, so I can't give you any information
on how to
compress your files so that they will work.

Please help! I cannot turn off IPOD due to blocking message

Please help, dear Ipod Experts and better Ipod Users,
I cannot turn off the Ipod (when I click to the bottom ) anymore as following message appears:
"FireWire connections are not supported to transfer songs, connect to the USB cable provided"
Even resetting the Ipod the message appears again and again and I dont have the slightest idea what the IPOD is trying to tell me. I have regularly uploaded the songs via Itunes with the USB cable (Nothing else) and I use the official I-Fusion Sonic Impact to hear the songs in loud. Can there be the connection, because I remember that this message started appearing when the IPOD was connected to the I-Fusion.
In order to turn the IPOD I have to leave it on till it turns off due to battery deload...Very sad solution, isnt it?

It sounds like you have reached the authorization limit of 5 computers. So if you need to authorize another one, either deauthorize any other computers have authorized in the past that you still have physical access to or use the Deauthorize All option as described in this article.

So I was switching from manually update to automatic update and it said it would add all songs in existing library to ipod so I clicked yes. So it took all the songs that were from somebody else's library on their computer and erased them. Is there any way to get these back? I't's over a thousand songs! Please help!

Please Help! Windows won't install IPod Driver!

My brother got a 2GB IPod nano and itunes and everything installs but when i plug in the IPod i get the install driver window. I click to intsall driver but it keeps saying it couldnt find anything to install (even when i have the disc the ipod came with inside). Its a Toshiba labtop. If anyone knows why the driver won't install or had the same problem please help! Thanks

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.

ok heres the story
i got a new ipod mini yesterday as a replacement for my old one, i plugged it into the computer but it didnt acknowledge it at all. so i charged it up and tried again, still no luck, so i came onto the apple website and have tried just about everything they have said and nothings worked. but i think that maybe it is set for a mac computer and i dont have one, i tried to restore it, and it said to plug in the ipod, i did, but the computer wont acknowledge it so it cant be restored!!!
what am i supposed to do???

Please Help!!!!! Ipod mini trouble

My ipod is recognized by my computer and the itunes sidebar but it doesnt upload songs that are in my library into the ipod itself. I've tried uninstalling the itunes program and reinstalling it but it doesnt work. i've also restored my ipod but that didn't work either. please help me i haven't been able to figure it out for a while!!
is there anyway i could fix it, or should i take it to the apple store

How are you attempting to transfer songs to the iPod? If it's set to manual then simply connecting the iPod will do nothing and you must drag and drop the songs from iTunes to the iPod.
if it's set to automatic transfer, do you see any error messages or is anything displayed in the status windows (where the Apple logo normally appears)?

1 - Ok, to put notes onto your nano, you'll first need to enable it for disk mode. When it's plugged in, go into iTunes, and open up iPod preferences. Check the "Enable disk use" box.
2 - In your Windoze file browser (what you click on files in), locate your iPod, which should be located in My Computer. Open that up, and locate the notes folder. That is where you can put any notes, in the form of text files, that you want.
3 - Make the notes. iPods only recognize plain text and html files. So, when you open the text file up in a word processor, make sure to save it as a plain text file (.txt extension). Then, just drag it onto your iPod.
In disk mode, your iPod will need to be ejected before you unplug it from your computer. Right click on it (in your My Computer folder) and click "Eject"
