PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE! - my N95 8GB only disconne...
My Phone is a Nokia N95 8GB with firmware v.31.0.015 and I'm trying to update to v.35.0.001, which is the latest firmware for my product code.
I have updated the firmware of this phone using Nokia Software Updater at least 2 times before successfully on the same computer as I'm using now. This time the phone only disconnects during the update and the program asks me to disconnect charger/battery/usb cable, and to reconnect them again and click "Retry". But it it's always the same all the time - it disconnects. I have tried re-installing all Nokia programs, I've tried running NSU by itself, from Nokia PC Suite and I've tried the updater from Ovi Suite (but it tells me that v.31.0.015 is the latest firmware!?).
The good thing is that the phone is still working properly but it has the old firmware, v.31.0.015.
Please, does anyone have any clue what the problem can be?
I am hoping for the updated NSU 2.4, but it has not been released yet, despite announced by a Nokia Employee on this discussion furumsome weeks ago.

There is nothing wrong with phone itself , so "Reset" will not help. You can have a few problems, already (like corrupted communications drivers between Nokia and PC). My advise is to do this in few steps. First to clean old Nokia PC Suit.
1. download: "Nokia_PC_Suit_Cleaner_7_1_1.exe" and rid off old installation.
2. download: "Nokia_PC_Suit_7_1_40_1_eng_web.exe" and install like any other Nokia PC Suit including connection manager and so on but do not go to "Nokia Software Updater", yet. It will not work.
3. download: "NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup.exe" but do not install, yet. (so do not hit "run" after downloading)
4. Find just downloaded above file of Software Updater and with cursor on this file click right button. In Windows7 there is "Troubleshoot Compatibility" option. Just hit it and windows will sort it out. On the next window hit "Try Recommended Setting".
On the follow up window there will be an information about applied compatibility mode and "Run The Program" button. Just hit it and install this "Software Updater". This also will replace original installation of software updater which is included with new Nokia PC Suit.
For me this is the cleanest way do solve this problem. It showed me compatibility with "WindowsXP Service Pack 2".
I do not know what operating system you are using. I am using Windows7 64 bits without any problems.
Probably you can try go stright to property of this downloaded file and do this changes in compatibility option by yourself.
By the way it is hardly to see any sagnificant improvement by comparing both versions. I hope it will help. Bye.

i downloaded a podcast on my iPod shuffle about 2 days ago and it went onto my ipod but now it wont turn on and the green and orange error lights appear and it wont let me play any of my songs.

I doubt it has anything to do with the podcast, there's so many that break at the one year mark that I'm pretty sure that apple makes em that way.

- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

Please can someone help, i dropped my phone yesterday causing it to stop illuminating, i've tried everything etc, even though i can still receive and make calls etc I just have a black screen.
my USB cable isn't working so I cant use the disc I received with my phone - all i need is someone with an N95 8GB on a 3 contract (other providers eg o2 seem to have slightly different phones) to talk me through the key sequence of copying my phone memory to my sim card as when i transferred sim card to another phone, I had no contacts and there are over 180 contacts in my phone - I have no insurance on my phone, just need my contacts moreso then the phone

PLEASE SOLUTION FOR MY NOKIA N95 8GB
Whenever i try installing or uninstalling any software on my nokia n95 8gb , it tells me 'unable to start operation, installer already in use'. please any help?
The N95 is quite an old phone now and if you've never done a reset on it, there may be a lot of bits of conflicting data hanging arround on it, Just back up your contacts, calendar and notes ONLY, then dial *#7370# followed by 12345, the phone will reset like new, but you'll have to reinstall all your apps and settings, it should however resolve your issues and leave the phone much quicker and more responsive.

the problem i am having is when i went and purchased a song off of wifi itunes..it went through fine BUT..wheni went to my computer to look up the song i just bought and it can be made into a ringtone..but when i sync the song and then tried to make it into a ringtone..it says "ethis song can not be mad into a ringtone"can no longer be made into a ringtone..but in the store on my computer it clearly has the bell next to it..so is the problem possibly that if you buy a song wifi..that you can not make it into a ringtone when you sync it to your computer..because its bought by wifi itunes..i dont know but can someone please help me on this.would really appreciate it.
I have the exact same problem. I returned my nano to apple about 2 weeks ago and they weren't able to duplicate it. I got the same nano back in the mail today, loaded up the songs that refused to play, and nothing was fixed.
This is my 6th apple product and 4th that I currently use and sync with my library. The songs I play on my other apple products (4g classic, iphone 3g, 2g nano) work perfectly. When I put them on my 4g they don't. If I convert the file, and then turn it back to .mp3 format it works...but with a library of nearly 700 gigs of music it seems like a hassle I or other apple customers shouldn't have to deal with.
I just got off the phone with a customer service rep, and he said the problem isn't with the nano, it's with the file. We got into a pretty good argument back and forth, but at the end of the day when file x works on every other product but this specific one, I'd say the problem lies with this one.
I keep crossing my fingers for a firmware update that will fix this, but as it stands I'm stuck deciding on whether or not I just want to give up on the 4g or convert my library to another format and then re-convert it back. -

can someone please help me before i pull all of my hair out.
i have windows vista - 64 bit - the HP IQ500 touchsmart with a wireless keyboard.
in the systray the num caps and scroll lock appears as little blue boxes (when on).
everynow and again they simply disapper.
i researced how to activate them again but cant remember how to do it.
there is a way without having to mess with the registry and without downloading any program
i just cant remember how. i know wherever it is...you ultimately get 3 boxes that you can check in order to turn the options back on.
i am not talking about toggling, or sound, or mscofig and then boot.
does anyone know the steps to turn the caps scroll and num lock indicator in teh sys tray back on
oh, and right clicking on the toolbar and going to the notificiation area is not what i am referring to either.
I checked in the control panel programs and the hp on screen caps lock indicator etc program is there.
I reinstalled it nonetheless and confirmed it is installed properly
When I right click on the notification area I do to properties/notification area/customize
There are two lists there
1. Current Items and
2. Past Items
For some reason I see caps lock - scroll lock and num lock under the past items
There you are also able to change the status of the items to either Hide wne active, hide or show
All three (caps/num/scroll) are SHOW
I click apply OK then apply
I restart the computer and nothing. The on screen caps lock indicator is still not in the notification area/systray area
I repeat teh steps to ensure that the three have the SHOW option chosen and they are.
So....
Program is installed
Items are check for SHOW
Restart was done
Ohhh and also...I went to MSCONFIG and made sure that the HP Keyboard Program was selected/check mark as one of the start up programs.
There in a run command to activiate the 3rd party program (hp onscreen indicator program)
When you enter the run command that I cant remember...you then get this option where there are three check boxes...one next to num lock - one next to caps lock and one for scroll lock.
Once you check/select the boxes/options you want...presto they appear in the sys tray/notification area.
I just cant remember the run command it to save my life.
Please....put my mind to ease...cause I am losing it!

Please Help!! Nokia N95 Camera Problems!!!

I recently upgraded my Nokia N95 Firmware to the newest one available, and since then, my camara has stop working. When i open the shutter and then then software loads the screen is just black, i cant click options or anything cause it dosent work. But if i take a picture by clicking the camara button it takes a picture .
I have tryed everything by resetting, re-installing the firmware.
Is there a way i can downgrade my firmware??

JonathanIt isn't possible for you to roll back the firmware update. You could try asking your local Nokia Care Point if they will do it for you.

Basically, after I installed Yosemite, the big gray volume icon (2" X 2" on a 23" screen) is flashing randomly on my screen VERY often. This is annoying. I have tried all peripherals including the possibility that there is dust/debris in my keyboard buttons. I disabled the keyboard and it still does it. Please help.

Please help me with Nokia N95 Problem.
If anyone can help with this I’d be much appreciated, I have a N95 on contract with T-Mobile. When I try to play videos from myspace, or you tube etc… I get a message telling me the following.
“Hello, Either you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of macromedia's flash player click here to get the latest flash player”.
I then get the option of clicking on a link within the previous sentence statement that directs me to acrobat downloads home page where I get the following message.
“We are unable to locate a web player that matches your platform and browser. Please visit our table of recommended web players”
This is deeply frustrating as in nearly every other way I feel the phone is perfect. If Any one can hep me fix this problem I’d be much appreciated.I'm in exactly the same situation as daperk... Love the phone BUTthe selling point for me was the internet access so when i began surfing found that most me the sites i went to i couldn't see the content and also would sometimes recieved a message saying i didn't have enough memory now considering i have a 2 gig card in it this didn't seem right i looked for any settings to allocate more space to internet browser but can't find anything... Regarding the utube program on the phone why supply it if it doesn't work?? I have the same problem i can see them in the menu but when i select one it doesn't play... I'm new here and only came here looking for a solution to the flash player issue but now i'm here i noticed posts refering to handsets crashing this i have to mention is another problem i have encountered... I'm doing something and the phone just freezes up leaving the only thing i can do is turn the power off and on to reset it... As i said at the start love the phone... But just wish it did what it said on the tin...

hello, i have an iBook G4 which is old, it has an OS of 10.4.11 which is called tiger i think, forgive me im new to apple,
it has a version of itunes installed (9.2) which worked fine with my 1st gen ipod touch but ive upgraded to a 4th gen ipod touch and now my itunes version is no longer compatible, the problem is that because my os is out of date i cant install the current version of itunes so i think i need to upgrade my OS.

But first of all make sure that your iBook is above 800Mhz and you have at least 512 Meg of memory. (1 GB recommended)
Please note, that if you do install Mac OS X 10.5 on your iBook, it will not allow you to install the latest version of iTunes version 11. The most recent version of iTunes that can be installed would be 10.5, which will be compatible with your iPod touch 4th gen, provided it's not been updated to iOS 6.
Sadly you can't install any version of Mac OS X above 10.5 Leopard, as it they requires an Intel processor, which your iBook G4 does not have.

PLEASE HELP - Nokia x6 - Turns on but only black s...
Last night I put my phone on charge and it was working fine, when I woke this morning the white light was flashing, so I unlocked my phone, yet nothing came up on the screen.... So I took my battery out and put it back in, turned it back on and only the green, white and red light comes on, there's no nokia logo or any sort of life in the screen. I tried charging it, plugging in the USB, still no avail. ANY HELP????????
Looks like you have no option but to hard reset.
To hard reset, press and hold the green call button + red end call button and the camera capture button, then turn on the phone using the power button while holdling the other buttons until you see the Nokia handshake.
Nota that you will lose all your data in your phone unless you already have a backup of your phone.

Help Before I take N95 8GB Back!
HI I wonder if anyone else is having this problem I have just spent about 2 Hours copying mp3 files via Nokia pc suite using windows media player and on listen back to the files it seems that all of them have jumps in them
they dont actually jump but thats what they sound like
have deleted a couple of tracks and added them again but same problem but file sounds perfect on PC

Just another update Im not sure what happened but i have just played the tracks that were giving me the problems but they seem to be ok now!!??
But when they first gave me problems I switched my phone off/on just in case something was running but the same problem occured but now just like magic
they seem ok Who knows!!
