You set the answers to the security questions so that nobody else can access the iPad without knowing those answers. It's a security thing. You need to get your head around the importance of these answers. If we put all your data in a safe and gave you a password to open it, would you forget it? Twice? That is exactly what you have done.
Restore. The fate of your data is uncertain.

Please Help - BT not fixing routing problem

Can someone please tell me how to get BT to fix my BB?
You may have seen me posting on this forum this last week, where BT are not routing packets from my home hub correctly. If I am assigned a WAN IP beginning 86.160.x.x, then packets get dropped a few hops into the network.
This shows up on my hub connection test page as all protocols (DSL, ATM, etc) with green tick, including the Gateway IP, but a red cross next to the DNS servers. But it is not a DNS problem, I can't ping/tracert a known server by IP address alone. And, my neighbour has an identical problem, which pretty much rules out my hub and PC.
My frustration has just gone up, because after 1 week BT have closed my logged fault. It was listed as a fault with the Retail Servers, so I had hope that it was being investigated appropriately.
But alas, they have just closed the fault log - and I still can't route from 86.160.x.x
Is there a magic phone number, or e-mail address to get through to the real engineers? I don't think I can face another call to an off shore call centre, investigating whether my PC has a problem.

I have embraced the call centre (one last time). Despite telling them it is IP routing, they are insisting on running yet another line test from the exchange.
When this inevitably shows no problems, I will contact the mods.
I have seen the other routing issues on this site. My one appears to be quite different. I am being assigned IPs from a pool starting 86 or 81. Most of these are fine, but 86.160.x.x will not route anywhere (beyond 4 hops). So it is not a limitation on accessing BT news servers, nor a problem with 190 IPs. But thank you.
Since this affects my neighbour, I am curious as to how widespread the issue is.
My neighbour hasn't actually complained/logged this with BT, since they only occasionally lose their DHCP assigned IP, and then occasionally get an 86.160 address. And then a router restart tends to resolve it (by fetching a non 86.160 address).
The tracert command gets as far a a router with a DNS entry listed in Milton Keynes, hence my wonder at how many customers this affects. Perhaps 1000's, but people just reset the hub and move on?
I'm a bit shocked to discover that BT automatically close logged calls after 6 days. But on the plus side, when I called again, I seemed to get fast tracked.

You are not having the same problem, the OP's problem was caused by USB devices which you do not have.

If you are having issues with your iPad's funcionality being reduced, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS - Apple Support
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPad -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPad to factory settings -
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support

Are you aware that if you restore your ipad that you will lose all data from your ipad and very difficult to get it back unless you had previously made a back-up of your data on itunes or in the cloud. and that would be on the computer you set those up on. (There are some independent apps out there that might help restore data but I don't have any experience with them...)
Also, I think if you restore on another computer you're supposed to have administrator rights and have the latest itunes update. And I think if you sync (if restoring is considered syncing with another computer, you'll be locked out of your computer or a new one.)
I don't know if there is a way for you to safely eject your ipad from your mom's laptop and find another way, but please read this

please help me, I meet a problem. when I open the PDF file with Adobe Reader X, there will be a windows popup and shows:
"contacting http://ocsp.verisign.com for OCSP based revocation checking, press ESC to cancel". after that the program will be dead.

We are experiencing the same thing. That same window will pop up and lock up the Adobe. It doesn't matter if the PDF is signed, unsigned, has no signing function or just opening up Adobe itself. The popup will show up about 30 second-ish after opening a PDF or Adobe.
When looking at task manager the CPU will stick at 50% most of the time the ram for the two processes will fluctuate slightly every minute or so sometimes a few minutes.
Now I cannot confirm this yet but it seems it may be related to the 10.1.6 as the issue did not show up till that was pushed out to our network.
The issue so far only appears to be on XP and not 7 however this issue appears to be a new thing so cannot confirm that as we have not recieved many calls...yet. However I have recieved 2 calls in 2 days for the same issue. First call the issue seemed to have resolved itself, however the second call (different person) with this issue, it is causing major problems with Adobe.
**Update**
So for us, uninstalling Adobe Reader X and removing all registry entries for Adobe Reader then installing it seems to have worked. It shows up in some instances for PDF's having digital signatures but acctually finishes in a second or two and doesn't show up in all digital signature instances.
The important part is it seems to have fixed it from hanging at checking the OCSP list. If the issue returns ill make an update here. Figured I should let folks know what worked for us might work for them. If someone can come up with a quicker (like a specific registry edit or deletion) that would be great heh.

If you are unable to get the iPod into Disk Mode to try and restore it, it's a very good indication, as mentioned in the article, that the iPod's hard drive is damaged and in need of replacement either by Apple or a third party repair company.

Hi for the life of me I cant resolve this.
I have a ms-6378 ver.3 board with 1.1g AMD
i could not install windows 2000 on a Seagate 73Gig 68 pin SCSI Drive ultra wid. after giveing up i added a IDE HD and install win2k SP2 and added the SCSI card all still worked ok
but as soon as i added the hardrive it locks up and it will
not compleat the load of win2k and tried a smoler drive 18Gig 68 pin SCSI Drive. but it will not load windows 2000. i am stumpt. ;(

It sounds like an IRQ conflict. Make sure you diable the primary and secondary channels for the IDE ports to free up the IRQ resources for the SCSI drives. If you are using a separate SCSI controller, make sure it is in the proper PCI slot and does not share IRQ's with other cards.
