Please help me to search topics. I'm having a problem.

I am trying to search this forum for a particular topic.
I type into the box in the upper right hand corner of the page that says 'search forum' (where mini magnifying glass is) and there is nowhere to click on return.
If I hit the enter key on my keyboard nothing happens.
I am using IE and I tried Firefox with no luck.
I even killed the page and then logged back in to see if that helped.
I have searched forums in the past with success but I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.
Please help.

I tested the 'search' and all I did was enter the topic and press enter/return, and it searched. try closing your browser and restarting it.

We are facing below issue with fast search.
Currently in My project when we are searching for a phrase it is returning wrong result sets.
For example if we search for “Endura”, It is returning documents related to
Endura as well as Centura.
But the expected results are only Endura documents.
When we look in to the documents we didn’t find the search term (“Endura” ) either inside document content or in its meta data.
In order to resolve the issue we tried the below steps
1-
We manually edited and saved the document, to ensure the appropriate Guid association to metadata.
2-
Index reset
3-
Full crawl
But no luck so far.

This may be related to spellchecking or may be synonym. Spellcheck is based on indexed terms.
The best test would be to run the queries from qrserver (13280) and then look at the spellcheck query transformations. If spellchecking is not doing it, then you must have a synonym setup .Check your keyword/synonyms from the SharePoint side.

also if you ran an older version of the applet that didnt run, your browser may be using the cached version. I would disable caching on the Java RE.

Please Help. For some reason, I have numerous, numerous problems.

For starters, my macbook is roughly a year old.
For the past, 2-3 months, I've been having some problems.
1. Itunes. Oh, where to start with Itunes? One day I try to open up my Itunes to listen to some music, and I get a message, it says exactly this: "The file 'Itunes Library' does not appear to be a valid Itunes library file. iTunes has attempted recover your iTunes library and renamed this file to "iTunes Library (Damaged) 2". And I discover that all my music has been deleted from iTunes expect for about 10 songs, and neither of them work correctly. So I patiently fixed it (properly or improperly, i have no idea) and it worked, for about 2 weeks. Then I try to open my itunes again, and I get the same message. Today it happened again, for the 5th time. Does anyone know a permanent solution to this problem? This has never happened to me before, except for the last 2 months or so.
2. iPhoto. I had some of photos in there. I try to open it one day and it gives me a welcome sign, as if I just got iPhoto and was using it for the first time ever. Then it says "loading photos". However, I doubt it was actually loading photos, because it shouldn't take 5 hours. I tried the advice that the apple website gave me on this one, (it was something like, hold two keys, a box will come up, press blahblah) but it didn't work.
3. Safari. Everything seems to be working correctly, except for everytime I open Safari, it makes me type in my user password for something called a "keychain login". It has never done this before. It's getting really annoying, everytime I open a webpage, it comes up. When I type in my login and "reset" my keychains, it does the exact same thing as when I click cancel. I honestly have no idea what it means, but it does the same thing for the IM service that I use.
4. TextEdit. I try to open a (quite important) file and it says "File (file name) could not be opened" I have no idea why, and this is the only file that it has done this for.
I believe that to be about it. If anyone has anything that would help, that would be fantastic.
However, please try to be as simple as possible when explaining things? I'm not dumb, I just want to make sure it gets fixed correctly, without screwing it up more.

It's interesting that only Mac application software is involved. I presume you've done a permissions run on Applications/Utilities/Desk Utility.
Back up your data files. Now, if you have your install disks, you can safely perform an Archive and Install, but preserve current users and settings. You'll end up with a fresh system, though you'll probably have to reinstall some third-party software to make it work well. Of course, you'll also have to update the system. This method comes closest to restoring functionality to all the applications you mention.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

I wanted to get the rate of interest on 8-DEC-2009.
Output will be 8.5 as this given date is in between 8-NOV-2009 and 9-JUN-2010. Could you please help me with proper query?

That sounds like a job for the LAST function:
SELECT MIN (rates) KEEP (DENSE_RANK LAST ORDER BY rt_date) AS eff_rate
FROM rate
WHERE rt_date < 1 + DATE '2009-12-08'
MIN above means that, in case of a tie (that is, 2 or more rows with the exact same latest rt_date) the lowest rates from that latest rt_date will be returned. In rt_date is unique, then it doesn't matter if you use MIN or MAX, but syntax demands that you use some aggregate function there.
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for your sample data, and also post the results you want from that data.
Point out where the statement above is getting the wrong results, and explain, using specific examples, how you get the right results from the given data in those places.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using (e.g., 11.2.0.2.0).

1) Yesterday, I was listening to my ipod and changing the songs, when it suddenly the songs began changing on shuffle every second mid-song!
2) Eventually it stopped, but then it really slowed down and would take about 5 seconds to react to me pressing the buttons or changing a song!
3) Then today, after I had finished using it whilst running, the screen went completely blank, but the music was still working fine. The screen is now still blank, unless I tip it vertically and then I can just about make out an extremely faded outline of the wrting and page format. Also there now appears to be a white smudge/mark on one side of the screen!
What is happening to my ipod and what can I do about these problems? I have had my ipod for only a couple of months!
I would be very grateful of anyone could help!

Please Help!!! DVD studio Pro Aspect ratio problems!

Please Help!!! I am using DVD studio Pro (Ver 4.1.0) to make a dvd using SD DV format 4:3 videos. After I burn the dvd and play the dvd on my 4:3 televison the video does not fill up the whole screen of the television, and also when I Simulate the DVD in Studio Pro it does not fill up the whole simulation screen (however the simulation screen is in 16:9 ratio and I also do not know how to change it to a 4:3 simulation screen). Can anyone please help me My family really wants the family videos but I cannot send them videos that look bunched up on the TV, I want it to be perfect!!. Thank you so much in advance for any help/advice, Darin.

Check if your tracks are set to Display Mode 4:3.
however the simulation screen is in 16:9 ratio and I also do not know how to change it to a 4:3 simulation screen
While simulating look for the Display Mode settings in the left lower corner of the Simulator.
I want it to be perfect!!
I think that's too much for these forums !

I'm in a pre-press environment using Tiger 10.4.6, Suitcase Fusion 12.0.1 to manage postscript fonts & Quark 6.5. I'm having a problem with Address Book letting me do any editing to the templates or changing any contact information of a card. I get the spinning wheel of doom and the program shuts down. I've set my system up according to Kurt Lang's Font Management recommendation. I've replaced the Helvetica dfont with Helvetica postscript in the sys/lib/fonts folder and this is where the problem lies. For some reason, in Panther, the address book worked just fine with this setup. But now in Tiger, the Address Book refuses to work. I absolutely can't use the dfont version while working in Quark which seems to keep happening if I put the dfont version back in the sys/lib/fonts folder so Address Book works. Can someone please advise me on how to fix this. I want to be able to use Address Book while it needs to access the Helvetica dfont version and I also want to be able to use the Helvetica postscript version in quark and not run the risk of the Helvetica dfont sneaking in. Hi all,
I have a nifty script that I use to make stacked fractions by inserting an inline textframe. It has a dialog which allows you to enter the numerator and denominator.
Now I would like to modify this script to automatically search for fractions within text (for example, 5/16) and replace that fraction with my inserted textframe.
The problem is I cannot figure out how to search for the word containing the slash character and then get the insertion point so I can add my textframe as an inline. Once I find the word with the slash (the fraction), I think I can split the contents of the fraction at the slash to get the numerator & denominator. Just cannot pop that textframe in there at that point and replace the word.
Have I made this clear enough for anyone who might be able to help?

Hey thanks. I am able to log into the site. I also got the code but again i found that the code is written by taking points and colors to create the shapes. I need some codes in which the shapes are created by taking colored images somewhat in this way,

colorImage[1] = TrackPicture.loadImage("./images/square_blue.png", 29, 29);
colorImage[2] = TrackPicture.loadImage("./images/sqaure_yellow.png", 29, 29);
colorImage[3] = TrackPicture.loadImage("./images/sqaure_green.png", 29, 29);
These are the images and by taking co-ordinates they are joined to create shapes. I have tried combining them through the paint( drawImage )method. Please give me some solutions if you have. Thanks in advance.

Warning: I'm not a game developer, so maybe what I'm going to say has nosense ;)
What about creating an object for the falling piece? The object control de position of its own squares and check for collisions at the bottom of the screen. Then you should work in the screen as it is a grid where pieces are stored, and everytime the falling object touchs some other piece, check what rows are fully filled and move those which are over it.
