Please help me turn it on

Hi, first time, and it may be the easiest question ever, I hope. When I power on my ibook, it goes to a screen with a circle and line thro it. I had a mac guru update and install and things haven't been good since.
Anyways, He did give me a secret code that by pressing a series of keys, I got a screen with three icons on it that then the curser points to the middle icon "C"? I pressed enter and then i got into the contents. Is the a hard drive by pass and what is the combination of keys? I get get into my computer at all, as I've forgotton Please help!!!

The problem is that I can't get anywhere other than the screen with the circle/line. Control alt p r doesn't work, nothing. There WAS a code that worked, but I have forgotton it. I have just kept the thing asleep for the last year, no power off. What is the sequence of keys that will get me to the screen with the 3 icons? Niel? Anyone? Please! I am on a borrowed computer, a pc,and I want my mac back in action!!!! HELP

If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

And yet the link you posted only tells you how to do it on the Facebook App for Android. Nothing about the Facebook page is mentioned at all, or how to do it on an iPhone.
With that said, and assuming you have the most up to date version of the Facebook App, you can now turn the auto play feature Off within the Facebook App itself. Tap on the "More" icon on the bottom right, then scroll down to Settings->Videos and Photos->Auto Play. If Smart auto-Play is on turn it off. Then you can set the check mark on "Never Play Videos Automatically" which is the same as Off.

I purchased my computer in the US in september - right before I moved to London. Mid november it died. The computer would turn on and chime, but the screen was dead. I took it to a 3rd party repair (which apple phone tech support insisted was just as good as the apple store) and they replaced the logic board. It all seemed fine until I took it home and used ichat video with my family - the computer turned off. It didn't shut down, just seemed to pause and go dead. I could reboot it and it had no recollection of incorrect shutdown with the exception of firefox. (I dont know if this is important, but every time it does this and i reboot, the sound resets to mute) I started to notice that the computer does this any time I use video functions for an extended period of time (or at least 20 minutes). I have brought it to the apple store twice, where they have repaired it twice. I have gone through at least one more logic board, a heat sink, something to do with the power adapter, as well as the battery. They cannot find anything wrong - 3 repairs later its still shutting down so I went to apple again. Unwilling to give up my computer YET again, they recommended I archive and install. I have now done that - now my computer is crawling - still crashing - and some programs decide to open up occasionally or start and stop without a crash notice. I tried to run disk utility and it froze. On top of this all, they recommended I download xslimmer to convert old power pc programs to the current intel format I'm running on my new macbook - this seems to have complicated things more. I asked them to replace the computer during my last genius bar visit, i was told that because my computer was purchased in the states they cannot replace it, and I will not be heading back to the states soon enough to have it replaced there. So anyone with any insight, please help! I bought a new computer so i wouldn't have to deal with these problems and its turning out to be more of a headache than my old powerbook g4.

I also forgot to mention that every 45-60 seconds there are two faint tick sounds coming from inside the computer.

Oh god someone please help me turn on my iphone

howdy!
alright so i had my iphone plugged into my friend's radio connector while the car was turned off. when he turned the key, my iphone screen went white then turned off, and it messed up the display on the radio connector.
i took it off and tried all the reboot procedures (hold home + hold, hold home+plug into computer, etc.). also, even when i plugged it in nothing happened.
someone please help me. i will offer 30 golden dubloons to the soul who delivers me an answer.

Ah Your warranty is void if jailbroken...That's the risk you take...
Your only hope is that during the troubleshooting steps they don't see it's jailbroken. Their normal steps in a store will include trying to boot and plug into iTunes to verify certain data...this obviously will come back with different specs being jailbroken...
So only your hope will be in the fact that it WON'T boot at all and they will just swap it out without any other steps...
If you are calling Apple and having them send one to you...I'm not exactly sure what steps they will take on the old phone when they receive it from you...it is possible they will try the same thing and if it boots and shows them its jailbroken they will void the warranty and most likely contact you to give them back the replacement or pay full retail price for it...

Ohhh no. Please help me turn off inbox searching?

I just "upgraded" to Yosemite and I'm dumbfounded by the new form of searching that includes searching your inbox! Including a search of my inbox when I'm looking for a file not only drastically slows down the computer's speed, but it's also a complete waste of time. I would never use Finder to look for something related to an email I was sent (I'd use email, duh).
Please tell me that there's a way to turn this off so that Finder is only searching for files, not scanning my inbox. I have thousands of emails that have been exchanged back and forth over the years related to some of the files I've created, and would never want those turning up every time I do a basic file search!

New generation aluminum iMac turns off when it wants. It has happened 3 times now when I am using the computer it will just shut off.
I do not turn the computer off, as I never have with macs, but always put it to sleep when I am not using it.
After it turns off, I am able to turn it right back on using the power button and all seems to be normal.
Any ideas for me!? Please!

I'm glad someone else is having this problem. Mine has shut down 3 times as well. Each time I'm doing something different - so I doubt it's related to programs that are running, etc . . .
Today I called AppleCare - they had me reset the SMC and PRAM as well as a couple other software things.
It hasn't happened again - yet - but it has only happened about once every 2-3 days.
I'll keep following for other good ideas!

HOME SHARING PROBLEMS, PLEASE HELP

I'm trying to use home sharing between my laptop and desktop. I have no idea what the problem is. I am able to view my laptop's library from my desktop, but it doesn't work vice versa. The computers have different OS's, could that be the problem? According to the troubleshooting, everything should be working fine. Please help.

Try turning Home Share off then on on the MacBook Pro and then check Remote App to see if now appears and you can connect - for me it works but eventually I will have to repeat the process to get it working again.
The four digit code method still works.
OS 10.7.3, iTunes 10.6.1 and iOs 5.1.1

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

try turning off your pc anti virus and firewall. i use kaspersky and i always have to disable it when there is a new apple update other wise i get the same message... dont forget to turn it back on when your finished.
