Please help me uninstall Yahoo!

I have unintentionally installed the Yahoo! toolbar, and it has insinuated itself as my browser. I would like to remove it. Please help!

orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Add-ons
On the left side, click Extensions. You should be able to Disable or Remove the Yahoo toolbar there.

Please Help Someone My Yahoo Mail on IPhone

Someone please help: my yahoo email account was working fine 6 months ago suddenly my Inbox won't download any messages. It will say loading 25 more messages at the top of the screen and nothing else, I click on it and the downloading circle moves then doesnt download! My trash comes up, my saved mail comes up but not Inbox! Why is this? I had this problem once. I ended up deleting my mail account info on the iPhone then putting it back in with a different name and it worked.

Although it's a better bet with a 2330 than a 2349, I'd try running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Seriously this has got me to the end of my tether and I think is Mail.App or my extreme.
I have three accounts two free ones and a mail plus one. I cannot send mail from any of them. Not to place blame here but its not been right since 10.5.2
Here is the very instructions from Yahoo, the precise settings I need to put into Mail. I am not s tupid person, I have set up many a mail account manually with no issue:

If I put these settings in yahoo mail does not work, I immediatly get an error saying could not contact yahoo on port 995
It says to use SSL. Which I tick but then there is 4 options for security in mail, why does mail not check with yahoo to find this info out? I have tried all the options and no dice.
It says to use port 495 for SMTP, if I do this outgoing does not work.
So I resort to using the standard ports, 110 and 25. This results in 25% of Mail checks actually working, usually I get asked for my password.
Also I cannot send email regardless of which settings I use. On the very rare occasions mail gets sent from yahoo it does not always make it to the other end.
I have been onto yahoo for three quarters of an hour on this, and basically they are saying use another email client.
This annoy me but they are right! It all works fine in both thunderbird and Entourage. But not on the ports they specify.
So long and short is what can I do about this? Could my extreme base station just a few weeks old some how cause an issue?

I have to say I am sort of inclined to agree with them. I can send and recieve from Entourage no problems, sadly I hate that application.
From mail nothing but problems. The details in entourage are imported from mail so its all the same.

You're welcome. And CDMA still exists! However, the newer devices for Verizon, from the iPhone 5 and above, come with a GSM slot and it is unlocked from the beginning to use with other GSM networks. If you do not want to return the phone for a refund, Apple has a recycling program, but you don't get much for it. You would be better to sell it outright as I said. Be careful though as you purchase newer phones on the internet, as they could be locked with Activation lock and you would need to contact the original owner to get the device unlocked, and if you read much here, that can be next to impossible to do sometimes, and Apple will not help. Good luck with your phones.

I purchased my IPHONE about 2 months ago. I am visiting family in DE & this tuesday it starting to go off & on by itself. Then the icons looked like they were floating . Then I could not call or text . The SIRI device would not work. Then it would shut down then the apple icon would reappear. I took it to a verizon dealer in Rehoboth DE & they said it BUGGED OUT/It is in a RESTORE MODE. It will not turn on. We could not transfer anny of my pics or contacts. I never even had a chance to back up the memory on ITUNES.
The tech @ Verizon said to contact APPLE to trouble shoot and try and transfer the contacts from my yahoo acct.

set up your yahoo account in mail, contacts, calendars as an Exchange Account and you should be able to get your contacts from Yahoo from there.

I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version. I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again. I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again. My blue tooth doesn't work either. I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this. When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue. My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!! I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue. Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it. Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.

If you are using web based email (accessing from Safari), from the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab.
Click: Show Cookies
Delete all Yahoo cookies.
Now from the menu bar again click Safari / Empty Cache.
Restart your Mac, launch Safari. Try Yahoo.
If the problem persists, there's a better way to access your Yahoo mail without a browser.
Launch the Mail application. Either from your Dock or Applications folder.
From the Mail menu bar click Mail / Preferences then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab.
Click + under the Accounts window on the left.
Type in your name, Yahoo email address and password.
Click: Create
No more having to use Safari or any browser to access your Yahoo mail. Just click the Mail icon in the Dock.

with those symptoms, let's try the following procedure.
first, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. if it goes, good. if it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to itunes.
next, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. use it to clear any existing itunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC.

next, use the the following document as a guide for manual removal of leftover itunes and quicktime program files:

Had to uninstall Firefox, now I can't reinstall. Get error message "Can not find archive file." Please help!

I believe I had some kind of virus attack. I got everything cleaned up. (I HOPE) In the process of cleaning the virus, I unintalled Firefox because it wouldn't open. Kept getting the error message that Firefox was already open and I had to close out of the sessions or restart the computer. After restarting the computer several times and not being able to find any open sessions in task manager, I uninstalled. When trying to reinstall, I get the error message "can not find archive file." I've tried downloading Firefox from cnet as well as the Mozilla site to no avail. Please help. I'm getting tired of using Chrome already!

A Restore first downloads a new copy of iOS to your computer. On a slow Internet connection this can take a long time. How fast is your connection? How long would you expect it to take to download 900 MB?
That's assuming nothing is interfering with the download. Some firewalls and antivirus programs will block the download or slow it down. So you should temporarily disable your security software. Security software can also block the update after the iOS download is complete.

I am trying to reinstall iTunes but everytime I try to reinstall it, it is telling me that I can't because I have a newer version of Quicktime installed. The problem is that I cannot uninstall this, please help.

That's usually caused by damaged QuickTime installation configuration information on the PC.
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)
