PLEASE!!!!  HELP ME W/ ITUNES/IPOD PLEASE!!!

YO GUYS! It would be awesome if someone could please help me!! I love my ipod more than some humans haha but i repeatedly have problems with it. Im on my 5th.. its in the process of getting repaired/replaced. But i have neverr had problems with Itunes, this is where the problem starts.. As well as my own, I also manage my moms ipod and itunes because she has a hard time comprhending.. anyways to get to the point she has the newest version of the ipod classic. Two days ago I picked up HER Ipod and for no reason at all, ALL of the music was mysteriously erased..?? I had never had problems with it previously and it was always fine when I plugged it in to update. So i figured I would just plug it back in and it would just put all the songs back on like I had when she first got it... wrong. I called Apple 3 times and absolutely no one could help me not even product specialists. What is happening is that everytime I plug it in Itunes freezes and a blib comes up and says "error (69) ipod cannot be synced a required file is missing" Only.. nothing about my computer has changed.. and its a brandnew lap top and has no viruses. After repeatedly trying to fix the ipod and get it to Sync a little info bubble popped up and said that Windows Vista might have corrupted the ipod...It suggested that I update Itunes which I did and check for and required updates that may need to be installed for windows...which I did. Nothing changed the situation and the Ipod still will not sync and still freezes Itunes upon being plugged in. Did Windows Vista completely ruin the Ipod??? or is there somethin that I can do that I am unaware of? Any advice or help at all on the situation would be immensley appreciated!!!

There are some data recovery programs on the market. I've no personal experience of them so I can't say how effective they are, there is an example at the following link. If you do an internet search you'll find others: iPod Data Recovery Buegie - Recovering Songs </a
None of the recovery programs are particularly cheap so you have to decide if in your particular circumstances it's worth it to get your songs back. It may be if you have a lot of purchased tracks which you will have to pay to download again. If they came primarily from your CDs then it's most likely not as you can re-rip them.

  • Help with my itunes/ipod

Please can someone help......I am a complete novice with itunes and ipod and i seem to be having some difficulty....I have managed to download all my music into itunes and have also managed to sync the music to my ipod however everytime I try and add new songs it 'syncs' the complete library again and as I have so many songs it takes a very long time to sync (about 35 mins). I have tried setting up a playlist and just ssyncing the playlist however then all the other music disaapears from my ipod and only the few songs in the playlist remain. Does itunes have to sync everything everytime I plug my ipod in? Is there anyway that I can keep all my music on my ipod and just add new songs and not have to sync the whole library time after time? I would really appreciate some help. I have tried the online tutorials but they are not answering my question
    Many thanks

Depending on the size of your library, memory, processor speed etc, iTunes can spend a long time deciding which tracks might need to be updated on the iPod but unless something has gone wrong it should then only copy new or updated tracks and delete those you have removed from your library. My almost full 160gb iPod has just taken about 20 mins to sync, with only the last minute or so being used to transfer ~100 updated files.
If all your files are being copied each time you sync then I suspect the iPod library is getting corrupted. One possible cause for this is an irritating feature called write-behind caching. It could be that when you eject the iPod, iTunes decides it's finished and asks for the device to be disconnected when Windows still has data to write to the disk.
    *Disable write-behind caching*
Right-click on your iPod in *My Computer* and select Properties and then the tab that says Hardware. Highlight the selection that says *Apple iPod USB Device* and select Properties. Under the tab that says Policies make sure that *Optimize for quick removal* is checked.
While I would generally recommend auto-sycning if it is not working well for you then you might try switching to the manually manage option in which case you get to control manually which tracks are added to or removed from the iPod. This can be a much faster way to add a few tracks but makes it much harder to keep information in the iTunes & iPod libraries in step.

  • HELP! My iTunes & iPod don't have option for VIDEO???

I have a 30gb iPod and the latest version of iTunes 6.03 (something like that). I downloaded a tv show from iTunes so I can try to put it in the ipod... When I plug it in, the Music and Pictures update by itself BUT the VIDEO doesn't update to the ipod at all eventho the box is checked..
1.)So I go to Edit> Prefferences> Ipod tab. It doesn't give me an option for VIDEO. It only says Music, Podcasts, Photos, Contacts, and Calendars. So I'm stuck right there.
2.) I tried to Click and Drag to my ipod but it doesn't let me do that either. I can drag it anywhere except to my ipod =(
3.) I tried to Right Click on the tv show> Get Info> Option>
(I read that you have to change the Video Kind to anything other than [Tv Shows]. I tried to do that but it doesn't give me that option. I can't select to change it. It's stuck on [Tv Shows])
4.) I even tried to Restore my ipod 2 times. It's a waste of time.
I think my main problem is that I don't have the Video option on my iPod or iTunes eventho I restored and updated 2 times. Maybe if I can figure out how to get the Video option on there then I can figure out how to put the videos on my ipod!
    CAN Someone PLEASE HELP ME????

There isn't a "video" option for iTunes, so you can scratch that from your list of concerns.
Huh? What's this a picture of?
    Syncing videos to your iPod
and my stuff all plays and transfers just fine.
And you get it onto the iPod how?

  • Apple iTunes/iPod Technical Support?!

Is there a phone number I can call to get real live tech. support help with my iTunes & iPod? I find that this forum only gives a majority of the people the run around a good percentage of the time. For a product such as this, that rules the world, there should be an easier, softer way to get answers to your problems than posting on forums and taking some days, weeks, or even months for replies. A lot of the time, persons still do not get a proper response to their questions and have to look elsewhere for solutions. I speak of this due to numerous crashes, freezes, & errors since Version 7.0 came out (iTunes Plus and Quicktime). A bulk of the issues seem to be coming from Windows Vista. With quite a few coming from Windows XP as well. I rarely, if at all, get help from this forum and that is sad! I also have to ask when the next new official release of iTunes/Quicktime is set to be published? Many folks have been wanting to know. Will many troubles be fixed? Larry

    To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

My Itunes says there is a corrupt file and will not open (IMac 2010). I couldn't fix it by reinstalling ITunes so I moved ITunes to trash. It will not delete from my trash as it is saying "Japanese.lproj" is in use. I have never opened or used "Japanese.lproj". I can't delete ITunes or open ITunes to close the Japanese.lproj, what do I do? Thank you for any help you can provide..

It will not delete from my trash as it is saying "Japanese.lproj" is in use. I have never opened or used "Japanese.lproj".
Interesting. This sort of thing is more common on Windows systems. Taken at face value, one of the iTunes program files (one of the Japanese language resources) is damaged.
I'd try running your Disk Utility over your startup disk. Does it find/repair any damage? If so can you empty your trash and reinstall your iTunes successfully now?

Holding down the shift key while iTunes is opening. That will bring up the 'choose iTunes library' dialog. Select 'Choose LIbrary' from the choices and navigate to your music folder and iTunes music folder.

How Can I Remove and Unistall Itunes From My Computer I Went To "Add or Remove Programs" and Clicked Itunes "Change/Remove" and nothing happen! its still there same thing for quicktime and im trying to unistalled them because i dont have any were in my computer to click itunes to open! so its like i dont even have it but i cant download it till i remove that one on the add or remove program section but i cant because nothing happens CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME REOVE ITUNES! FROM THAT LIST!

let's try swapping out your QuickTime.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
    6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
    7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

FROM THAT LIST!

Well, you can do what I did. You can click onto "Start" and then "My Computer". From there, click onto Hard Disc Drive "C". A window will open that shows the folders that are present. Click onto "Program Files" and then another window will open. You should see both I-Tunes and Quicktime there. Right click onto each one and then click "Delete". That should work. When it's done, restart your computer.
If it doesn't work, hit the "control/alt/delete" keys at the same time and select "Processes". If they show up there, delete them from that list first and then repeat the above procedure.
Good luck. By the way, check out my post on "People with Problems, Read here". You'll find that there's many of us here that cannot make our I-Pod's work correctly because the software for them is HORRIBLE!
