Hi there, I have a Problem, when I connected my iPod mini with my computer It said I have to update it to the lastest software, I downloaded the iPod udater 2005-11-17, when I did so, the computer perfectly read my ipod, it showed exactly it's name and the memory I had in songs, I tried to update it, but later it said that it couldn't write over the firmware or something likke that, later, I connected it again and it couldn't read it, it showed my iPod i gray color (my iPod is gold) and in name and memory it said N/A, what can I do, every time I connect it is the same, please help me

Please help me with my Ipod Touch 4th Gen.

I erase all the data of my ipod touch 4th generation by clicking the settings and go to erase all data. after erasing the indicator shown that the data is erasing but suddenly it hang up and only the apple logo shown. I tried to press the sleep and wake up button but it still my device is not starting. What should I do? Please help me.

I have a Product Replacement Plan for two years on my 1st generation ipod touch. I bought it December 2007 and I just recently lost it November 2008. But before I lost it, in September 2008 I had to use my replacement plan to get another ipod so the serial number that is on my receipt would be different but I do have the geek squad receipt from when they gave me another one.How could I go by getting another one?? Would I be able to pay a deductible but not the full amount to get another one even though I have a two year protection plan on the ipod?? Also if there is a process to get another, which would be the best way of doing that and does Apple give a plan that does cover stolen products??

You can, however, always cancel your original PSP coverage and obtain a pro-rated refund if you’ve lost your iPod. Simply stop into your local Best Buy® store with a copy of your original receipt, and a customer service associate would be glad to help you out.

Anybody please help me with my ipod touch

OKAY , SO I DECIEDED TO OPEN UP MY IPOD ONE DAY AND FIX MY HOME BUTTON, BUT WHEN I CLOSED IT THE SCREEN WAS WHITE AND I COULD STILL TOUCCH THE SCREEN AND IT WOULD WORK AND I WOULD GET THE NOISES FOR MY NONFICATOIN BUT NOW I TRIED OPENING IT AND FIXING IT AND NOW I CANT TOUCH THE SCREEN WHERE IT WOULD CLICK AND I CANT HEAR MY NONFICATIONS AND MY HOME BUTTON DOESNT WORK AND IVE ALREADY RESTORED MY IPOD AND I CANT RESET IT CAUSE MY HOME BUTTON DOESNT WORK NOT EVEN WHEN I OPEN THE IPOD AND CLICK IT. My ipod suddently appear an unhappy icons, then i follow the steps trying to reset the ipod by toggle the on/off switch of hold, and press the menu and select button until the apple icon appear, but after few sec the unhappy icon appears again, can anyone help me solve this problem?

Thanks for your reply, but I've already done that and the Column Browser options are completely grayed out. I've taken a screen shot and hope I can paste it in here. You'll see I have the sidebar open. That's the way I prefer to deal with iTunes.
This happened after I updated to iTunes 11.0.4. Perhaps that changed the setting options. I think I had the Column Browser option prior to that, but I just got a new iPod and I was busy loading stuff, so not completely sure if it worked before the update. But I think I would have noticed, because it bugs me so much not to have the option.

Hi, I had the same problem and tried to figure it out for hours too.
I found that I had a bad (not complete) download. After redownloading 7.0 and installing it, it worked great. (I deleted the previous download then redownloaded.)

No app on the iOS device is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the erase (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 or later on the device. With iOS 7 or later, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

OK I have iPod mini 4GB and I have the latest iTunes installed 7.02 or something I don't know anymore.
Anyway a sad iPod icon displayed on my screen a few days ago and I managed to restart it and to put it in a disk mode and then iTunes finally recognized iPod and I clicked on Restore and then Restore and Updated and after a few seconds during the restore process it says:
An iPod 'iPod' couldn't be resoterd. An unknown error occurred (1418).
I am desperate and i don't know what to do.
I read almost everything about this but nothing helped.
Please help me with any kind of solution...

Does the iPod connect to other networks?
If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still does not connect to any network that indicates a hardware problem.
If you only can't connect to your network that indicates a problem with your network.

My MacBook Pro iTunes movie purchase is not showing in iTunes store movie purchases nor does it show on my iPad or Apple TV. Can someone please help me with a solution? Thanks.

First of all, I live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Sometimes, I use a VPN to search on the web here. I purchased Toy Story 3 on my MacBook Pro 2011 OS/X - Lion through iTunes. I initially had trouble downloading it which may be due to being on and off the VPN but after a while it finally downloaded and shows up in my iTunes library on my MacBook.
Under my Apple ID account (which is the only Apple ID account I have), I look under purchase history and it shows that I paid for Toy Story which is where I got my Order # from. But if you go to the iTunes Store then to the Quick Links then click on Purchased, under all my Movies, it does NOT show Toy Story 3 as one of my movies.
Now when I go to my iPad (3rd gen.), Toy Story 3 does not show up under purchased movies (all or not on my iPad). It does not show up on my Apple TV as well. If I want to have Toy Story 3 on my iPad or Apple TV, then it says I have to purchase it again.
I have searched for help via Apple support communities but so far none of their solutions have worked for me. I have tried logging off iTunes & App Store on iPad and also shutting down the iPad. I also made sure that under iTunes Preferences>Store that iTunes in the Clouds purchases is checked. Can someone please help me with this? Your consideration is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.
