LaCie 6TB drive ejects when Air sleeps: I use two 6TB LaCie drives - home and office with my Air, which travels with me between the locations. Only have a problem with one that inappropriately ejects when the Air sleeps (and only sometimes). Is there a fix? Lacie doesnt make HD, thats a Seagate inside the box.

Yes, get a 4TB max HD, 6TB drives are both new and have known issues, ...in fact so do most all 4TB drives.

Large external hard drives are great! Large external hard drives are horrible
It is a common premise that people are overjoyed at the dropping prices per terabyte on external hard drives, and the first thing that enters most peoples minds is "great, I can put all my stuff on one drive,... all of it!" However considerations need to be made in creating a giant single choke point for not mere data loss, but seriously large data loss. If there is at the very least yet another redundant copy, this is fine, otherwise do not consider it whatsoever. Some 3TB and 4TB drives of all mfg. have, at the time of this writing, reliability concerns currently and best recommendation is staying at 2TB drives or less.
Advantages and disadvantages of larger 3TB and 4TB external drives must be weighed -
2 ZS Platinum with Logitech 5300e- No sound comes from rear speake
I just bought a new 2 ZS Platinum sound card and I use fairly new Logitech 5300e 5. speakers but no matter what I am playing, no sound comes from the rear speakers. However everythingh sounds fine in the front left, center and front right. As most posts on this board would suggest....yes, all speakers are securely connected and the switch on the back of the subwoofer is set to 5.. Windows control panel is set to 5., and so is everything else that asks. Im pretty sure I installed it correctly because the card shows up and I can hear good sound but only from the front. I read somewhere that I still needed a codec called ac3 so I downloaded it but there is still no sound. I updated the card with the latest driver which looks like was released in 2005. Is there ANY way to get real 5. sound? Do I need to purchase something else, a new codec? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!
Does the speaker test work in 5. channel mode? If it doesn't then it would like the X-Fi's lost the centre channel.
In that case you can try unplugging your speakers, changing into 2.0 mode plugging them back in and then changing to 5. channel mode and just fiddling about. 'tis a common problem with the X-Fi on a fresh install to lose or merge channels. There's no fix for it but to fiddle with the speaker/THX console settings and to plug and unplug stuff until the X-Fi decides to route stuff properly. -

I created a JTree where the DefaultMutableTreeNode is created at run time and for this node, the leaf items are added dynamically.....Now my problem is, I should get a popup menu when i click on the treenode particularly-----

In this I want a popup only for the Node11 & its child elements if there is any Node2 also i don't want a popup and also for Node1 i don't want, when I am trying this I am getting the Popup to all nodes and child elements, please, help me any one who cross over this problem.............

When you receive the MouseEvent for the right-click, you can get the coordinates of the click (i.e. where on the JTree the mouse was clicked).
You can then use JTree.getPathForLocation to get the path for the clicked node, which is a TreePath object. Use TreePath.getLastPathComponent to find which node was actually clicked on.
Having determined which node was clicked, you can then make a decision about whether to show a popup menu. -

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

The question mark means the computer cannot find a bootable volumes so can;t do anything, That, combined with annoying sounds, strongly suggests a failed hard drive.
You can ask a "genius" at an Apple Rtail Store to test it but I'm pretty sure the drive is kaput. I'm hoping you had your data backed up. -

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.

discussions may sometimes be slow for an hour or so (at which point the opening page of discussions will eventually apologize for the inconvenience, back on line soon...) but your description looks like a cache problem.
Try OnyX freeware to do some cleanup and see if that helps.

Check your mail server setup (mail>preferences>accounts>) choose your MobileMe account and select Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) dropdown box, select Edit SMTP server list, verify that each instance of the me server has a password, if there are more than one and you only have one account then delete the one without a password. -

Okay, so FaceTime stopped working once you upgraded to iOS 7 is that the situation? It doesn't work over either cellular or WiFi networks? I assume you have checked the Settings>FaceTime>FaceTime switch is on and that you have your correct Apple ID in there as well?
What happens when you launch the FaceTime app and attempt to make a FaceTime call, what message(s) do you get? -

I was able to use the findmyiphone app last week, but now I have been getting an error message "Can't load findmyiphone. There was a problem loading the application." please help as we are trying to locate an ipod with pics of a no deceased loved one.
Had the same problem and the same message -- was suddenly unable to access icloud apps on my pc, also using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer. After several days of pulling my hair out, decided to try a different browser and was able to get in by using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Hope this helps.

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.
