Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Full Screen mode with all toolbars hidden.
* Press F11 to toggle full screen mode (Firefox/File > Full Screen)
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

Yes, you've missed the download step.
Open the Kindle app and navigate to your Library. There is a tab at the bottom that says Cloud | Device. Tap the Cloud tab and tap the books you want to download to the device. You will see a progress indicator during the download. Once it's done, read away! -

Normally you have to be connected to wifi and you can do manual backup by going to Settings- icloud- storage and backup and pressing backup now button. Start with your ipad, usually size of the backup smaller and return here if you encounter a problem. -

Help! I can only open Bookmarked sites.
When I try to open any site apart from a bookmarked one is says "Connection has timed out". This includes links from bookmarked sites. Help please!

Help Airport Extreme Lost WiFi and I have no idea how to fix it...
I've had to AEBS hooked up and transmitting a Wifi signal for the past 6 months or so. A few days ago I I lost the Internet connection on wifi only. I have an iMac hardwired through the AEBS and it doesn't have a problem connecting to the Internet.
I've updated the AEBS.
I've reset my router and modem.
I've unplugged them for 5+ minutes
I've sworn at them
I've yelled at the dog for trying to bite my feet when I was messing with the wires.
By playing around in Airport Utility I've been able to learn th*e following.
*Connection Sharing:* Off (Bridge Mode)
Desktop connected, Airport (self assigned IP)
*Connection Sharing:* Share a public IP address
AEBS will not connect to ISP, airport and ethernet show connections in System Pref to AEBS and Internet (192.168....)
*Connection Sharing:* Share a group of IP addresses
AEBS connects to ISP (so it says), airport and ethernet show that they are connected but no pages will load. I've screwed around with the DNS address, IP addresses, and everything.
Can anyone help? I'm already bald or I'd pull my hair out.I suggest starting by performing a "hard" reset of the AEBS. Once that is done, the AEBS should be back to its default configuration of an Internet router.
With the reset done, connect your iMac directly to the AEBS's LAN port via an Ethernet cable. Can you access the Internet now? If so, while still connected by Ethernet, run the AirPort Admin Utility to configure it the way you need it. You can use the following as a guideline:
AirPort tab
o Base Station Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
o AirPort Network Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
o Create a closed network (unchecked)
o Wireless Security: Not enabled
o Channel: Automatic
o Mode: 802.11b/g Compatible
Internet tab
o Connect Using: Ethernet
o Configure: Using DHCP
o WAN Ethernet Port: Automatic
Network tab
o Distribute IP addresses (checked)
o Share a single IP address (using DHCP & NAT) (enabled)
Once configured, try connecting your PowerBook wirelessly. Can it access the Internet?
Once you verified that you can get Internet access for all of your computers, you should secure your wireless network. -

are both places where screen size may change inadvertantly. Use higher resolutions, but lower screen zoom. -
I then have to reboot the computer. Now I generally use Safari, which is much smaller and has fewer options. If this problem is as wide spread as other sites indicate, why hasn't Firefox fixed it?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When I select "Choose Library" the itunes library file is subdued. I copied the library file off of Time Machine and put it back in itunes, but it remains subdued. I'm running OS X 10.6.8 and iTunes 10.4.1. Help?
I too had this problem and have solved it. After upgrading to iTunes 10.4.1 (Running OS X 10.6.8) I could no longer select library files. Previously, I would launch iTunes with the option key down to trigger the "Choose Library" dialog box. I have three libraries, each of them stored in separate iTunes folder within my user:music folder. I would then double-click on a given folder to open it and then double-click on the library file. After the 10.4.1 upgrade the library files were grayed out (not selectable). The problem was resolved by changing what and how I selected. When the three iTunes folders were displayed I clicked once on a folder to select it (instead of double-clicking to open it) and then clicked the "open" button in the dialog box. This resulted was iTunes launched with the library file contained in that folder.

I resend some emails regularly with only slight changes to the email so I usually do a "reply all" or "forward" . Recently I cannot see the text in the body of the emails using FireFox, however I can see the complete email when using FireFox mobile or Internet Explorer. Any ideas what is causing the problem and how to fix it? I have tried to copy and paste the text into a new email but that didn't work.

I uninstalled Adobe reader, then did the rest of your suggestions but the problem remains. It is only with 3 emails that get resent daily with slight changes to the text. It is like most of the text has been removed from the email.

I have to design a trigger based on the following requirement:
I have an ASSET table ASSET (asset_id number(10) (primary key) , site_id (foreign key) references SITE(site_id) , cost_ctr_id (foreign key) references COST_CENTER(cost_ctr_id) )
I have a COST_CENTER table COST_CENTER (cost_center_id number(10) primary key) I have a SITE table SITE (site_id number(10) primary key)
I have a SITE_COST_CTR table SITE_COST_CTR (site_id (foreign key) references SITE(site_id ) , cost_ctr_id (foreign key) references COST_CENTER(cost_ctr_id) ) here (site_id, cost_ctr_id) is the composite primary key .
Now I want a trigger which should satisfy the following : Whenever there is an insert or update in the ASSET table, it should first check in the SITE table and if the site_id is not there it should insert that site_id in the site table, similarly for cost_center_id it should see the cost center table and insert cost_center_id there, followed by an insert into SITE_COST_CTR table (It should insert site_id, cost_center_id in SITE_COST_CTR table)
Can anyone please help me with this trigger ? I have no idea, never ever done it till date :'(. Please help me.

Are you referring to the Dock that normally appears at the bottom of the screen with the icons of the running applications in it?
If so have you looked at System Preferences->Dock to make sure you haven;t changed any of the settings you are use to?
Do you usually have the Dock visible all the time or is it hidden? Try sliding the pointer to the bottom and to the left and right edge of the screen to see if it appears. -
The lock rotation has turned on I have no idea how there is no icon on the bottom task bar can anyone help please
You have the lock icon towards the top right of the screen next to the battery indicator ? If you do then which iPad do you have ? If it's not the iPad Air 2 then you should have a Settings > General > Use Side Switch To option which controls what the switch on the side of the iPad, above the volume control does - if that is set to 'Lock Rotation' then you use that switch on the side to turn rotation on/off
If there isn't a lock icon at the top right then try a soft-reset and see if that gets the iPad to rotate again : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

My address bar has disappeared in Safari 5.1. When I click "Customize Toolbar" to fix it, the Home and arrow buttons become unusable--they just click but nothing happens.See image below.

Re the toolbar. Since this issue started after the 5.1 update, could be a third party Safari add on that was compatible with the prior version of Safari but not 5.1 that's preventing the Toolbar to load correctly.
