Please Help!!! My daughters birthday is tomorrow and cannot hook up camera

This is the first time that we have tried to hook our Sony Handycam (mini dv) up to our imac instead of our Sony Vaio computer. I am trying to burn a DVD off of the DV Rewritable disc I have and use it again tomorrow for my daughters birthday but it is not working with the mac? Anything I can do, please help. Thank you in advance!

Can you insert the DVD and just drag the files off?
Please be careful! The iMac is NOT compatible with 3 inch DVD, like the ones used by this sony handicam!
If you insert this kind of DVD into your iMac, you will have a broken superdrive, in addition to a video problem!
Please tell us exactly what model of camera you have, and we can better assist you.

Tony is right. What camera (make and model)? Mac or PC? Which version of Lightroom (5.0? 5.3?) Are you downloading from the camera or from a card reader?
What is the exact error message that you're getting?

It sounds like it still has her information on it, so it might be efficient to navigate to Settings, then General, then Reset, then Erase All Content and Settings. You can then set up the phone again, using your information. This way the phone will be yours, officially, and her data and information will be removed.

So I looked up the info on OWC as suggested and found the correct memory to upgrade but not sure how much to get and which option? I wanted to know how much space I have available to upgrade so I don't buy something that's more than what can be used. I'm not sure if I need 4GB or 8GB of ram? You may need to update your MacBook Air with your new Apple ID password.
OS X Mountain Lion and later: Open the Messages app, select Messages > Preferences, then click the Accounts icon.
If you signed out before changing your Apple ID password, click Accounts and enter your current Apple ID to sign in.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID password, click Accounts, then select your previous Apple ID from the list of accounts. Click Sign Out, then click Sign Out again when asked to confirm. Enter your current Apple ID to sign in.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

Did you upgrade to Lion just before setting up iCloud? that's more likely to be the issue. PhotoShop CS2 is a PPC program and won't run on Lion - on Snow Leopard it requires Rosetta to emulate PPC, and this is not included in Lion. CS3 and lateer apparently work though with issues.
Click on the program's icon in the Finder and hit command-i. Near the top of the pane it will say 'Kind': if it says 'PowerPC' then this is the problem. It will not run on Lion and there is no workaround. You will need to revert to Snow Leopard (you could install this on an external disk and start up from that).

If you've got the US Verizon model then it doesn't use a sim, it is CDMA based - and the wifi only model doesn't have a sim slot either. If it is 3G and takes a sim then if holding the iPad with the screen towards you, the slot should be on the left-hand side towards the top.
