Please help.. nokia e72

Hey Guys,
I have a problem with my Nokia E72 and i was hoping maybe someone can help me out. I have been a Nokia fan for awhile now but after tonight i probably going to go with something else.
I wanted to back up my things and then reset my phone (hard reset) because it was slow and i thought it was a good idea. Clearly not!
After i restored my back up everything is gone, all my apps,themes everything is it normal? I don't get the point of backing up my things if i wont be able to restore them later anyway..
can someone help me please!
P.S it restored my contacts and notes only..

It would be pointless resetting the phone only to restore everything, including the reason why the phone was slowing down in the first place. The backup backs up personal irreplaceable data like your contacts etc. Everything else you are better off downloading and installing from scratch. This way you get a fresh install with the latest versions and hopefully revert your phone back to its original speed.

Please help nokia n8 problem

i updated my nokia n8 from anna to belle refresh (i know too late) and after restarting the phone and finishing the update the phone keeps freezing and restarting. when i take the sim card out it works, but when i put it back it keeps freezing and restarting. i tried hard reset (3 buttons) and the resetted the phone but it still freezes and restarts often... i took it to nokia care and they said they will not fix it for me because i bought it from outside the country and doesnt have any warranty in here, i told them iam willing to pay but they insisted they will not fix it because i bought it from outside (i live in jordan and i bought this phone from dubai)
any suggestions? please?

I wrote an application. It's opening text files from resource directory.
I use getClassAsResource or something like that.....
The app. running excellent on every phone, only on Nokia doesn't works.

I haven't encountered this tuzz. Can you tell me what's the operating system of your computer? My N86 8MP says it's Phone Memory. Even if I have builtin 8GB, but it's labeled as mass memory aside from my micro SD card.
What I can suggest is don't select PC suite instead choose the mass memory option when you connecting your phone to your computer using the Nokia PC Suite. Let me know if you encounter the same problem for the C: drive.

Please Help - Nokia 6500c Video converting

Hi, could you please help me - what is the best way to upload video? I just bought the phone, which is great, but Nokia's software is really slow and the Suite hangs up almost every time. If I convert a .avi with it, only audio remains. What programs do you use for video conversion and what selections seem to give the best quality? Thanks!

This feature is not available on the phone. However, you can achieve this by downloading applications from the Nokia Store or from another third party website.

the correct charging proceedure of a new battery is to take all the charge off the battery and when phone indicates "low battery" you should charge the battery till the battery is full and then disconnect the mobile charger.
but it is normal that a phone with this features last between 24/48hours it depends on the usage.
it is suggested that you turn off Bluetooth and in the network settings the usage of GSM usually improve a lot the battery standby time.

If you look at other posts in this forum you'll see the only people who are able to provide a restriction code for you would be your Network service provider, it's not something that Nokia have put on the phones. It's probably best to get in contact with them,providing you bought the phone from a retailer and not a 3rd party

Okay so basically here is the problems.
first...when i bluetooth songs across from my pc to my nokia x6 (16gb) it keeps it in the inbox and wont show up in the gallery
secondly, when i try to use songs that ive downloaded from nokia ovi music it wont let me use them as ringtones saying its a protected file
please can you help me

both are not problems when you get files by bluetooth save them now you need to refresh music player then they will be in gallery

PLEASE HELP - Nokia x6 - Turns on but only black s...

Last night I put my phone on charge and it was working fine, when I woke this morning the white light was flashing, so I unlocked my phone, yet nothing came up on the screen.... So I took my battery out and put it back in, turned it back on and only the green, white and red light comes on, there's no nokia logo or any sort of life in the screen. I tried charging it, plugging in the USB, still no avail. ANY HELP????????

Looks like you have no option but to hard reset.
To hard reset, press and hold the green call button + red end call button and the camera capture button, then turn on the phone using the power button while holdling the other buttons until you see the Nokia handshake.
Nota that you will lose all your data in your phone unless you already have a backup of your phone.

Please help, Nokia c2-02 browser troubles

It's been 3 months since I've updated my nokia browser and since then the browser is not working
I have updated my phone using nokia suite 3 times
(today was the 3th time)
I've been searching online for a solution but all whatI've seen was to download the nokia browser but I haven't find one suitable to my phone (nokia c2-02) if there is please post me a direct link
The other link that I found post on the nokia forum were unsuitable for my phone
I have searched throught ovi store for days but I haven't find "The nokia browser - new and improved"
I have downloaded other browsers which I use
but they don't support 0.facebook.com (which is a website that is given and provided free in my country )
The old nokia browser supported that website
Is there anyway that I may use to restore my old browser ?
If there isn't please give me a direct link to download a new browser (not from ovi store because as I mentioned earlier it does not support nokia c2-02)

Please help nokia 5800 won't connect in pc suite m...

Ive been going crazy trying to connect my 5800 via usb to my laptop (vista). When i connect via bluetooth its fine but usb simply wont install drivers. says that i am missing phone parent . i have tried everything i have read e.g unistalling everthing and using pc suite cleaner and then re installing pc suite 7.1, removing wdfo1000.sys file form system 32 folder and placing on desktop. Ovi suite wont connect either because of the driver problem. i am connecting in pc suite mode. i need the usb as bluetooth is too slow. please help

Sorry, I do not have an answer, and because I do not know how to start a 'new topic' on the discussion board, I would like to ask my question here:
My ovi nokia suite takes aboutbtween 1 and 2 minutes to open, after I have clicked on it for the first time. My previous nokia suite (E70) opened immediately. Does anyone have the same 'problem', or is it just something I must get used to ?
ps. my PC is not the fastest, but it is not slow either, I have no problems opening other programs on my PC, therefore it must be something with ovi suite itself.
Any suggestions to open it quicker ?
ps. I know it is not a nokia question, but can anyone recommend any PC cleanup (anti-virus) programs ?

we got a new phone for my little brother he needed one asap and i couldnt affford to go t tmobile and get him a nice one so we got a prepaid 1661 and it worked fine then he turned it off and back on and it needs a lock code and we cant figure it out, any one have any idea what it could be? please helop thank you

If it is asking for the lockcode or securitycode it should be 12345 as default. I found this on another forum:

Hi - I had exactly the same issue with a 1661 that I got for my mum. Even though I tried to unlock using all the codes posted in this thread and on this one i couldn't get it to unlock. The way that worked for me was I read somewhere to remove the battery for a couple of hours, then reassemble the phone and try 12345. I left the phone with battery out for an afternoon, about 5 hours, and then it unlocked first time with 12345. Try that - hope it works.

HELP*****deleting all memory saved on nokia e72***...

hi can someone please help me concerning my nokia e72, i have bought a 16gb memory card currently waiting on it but in the mean time the 4gb which came with the phone isn't allowing me to put any music on go on the internet, play the radio....do anything really. what is the problem? i have no idea what to do.....also how do i put music on the phone? when i plug it into the computer, files open but which 1 do i put music in too is it the download file?? i am totally lost with this phone actually thinking of taking it back its just very complicated...i need step by step info on how to delete my memory and how to put music on.
one other thing the phone is quite slow it freezes alot i have to take the battery out inorder to get it working again why is this? due to no memory?? does this phone save all the web pages i use?? what is using up the memory?? please help!!!

Do you want to delete all the info on the memory card or from your phone. Dialling *#7370# from the main screen wipes out the phone memory by doing this you will lose all your data stored on to your phone memory like contacts, notes, bookmarks any applications installed, nokia music licenses ( you can later retrieve this) etc. In order to format your mem card so it from your phone go to file manager and use 'format mem card' For storing music on the card create a folder named 'music' or 'mp3' and place all your songs there, open your music player and refresh music library, wait till all the songs are added.

Need help on Nokia e72

I bought a Nokia e72 two weeks back. Dont have much problems with it. Its a great phone The only problem i see here is with battery life. Before the phone release it was said that the phone will have 11hr of battery back on call. I was expecting the baterry to stand for 3+ days with normal usage, but i am really disappointed by nokia it hardly goes for 2+ days.
Any one have any trick to make the battery stay longer or any way to handle the phone which will keep the battery well. The second problem i see with phone is the GPS does not seem to be working. but when i use some external application that uses gps, it works. I am using google maps which works awesome.
I will keep posting for any new problem encountered.
One more big queestion is that , when the new firmware will get released, how do we install it on phone, do we loose data on phone, do we loose any functionality ?
Can a firmware resolve the battery issue??

Really? That's very strange. When I text chat with Nimbuzz over WLAN my battery seems to go down much quicker than
when I do the same over 3G. I suppose it could be something in the way Nimbuzz handles the connection/data.

I do this all the time and I don't get why there's no automatic management or at least preference-setting per application for this. When text chatting I really don't need the 3G. Only really for voice chat or internet or something like that. It seems to me phones could last for days longer if there was a clever way of managing this. Certainly my E51 used to drain in a little over a day with the 3G on, while it easily lasted 3 days without. It seems a really easy way to blow the competition to bits if you can have smart power/connection management.

E72 email setup problems. Please help

I am trying for some time now to set up my email account on my new Nokia E72 without any succes. I hit the email setup button, chose the right acces point provided by the mobile company and after I enter the email and password the mesage "maximum number connections in use. Close an active connection first" appears. Here I only have two options OK or CANCEL. Hitting CANCEL it just gets out of what I was doing. Hitting OK it only gives me the acces point which I am using without any other option so I have to close it. Could anyone help me with this problem please?

Then you better check if other apps like Facebook, Worldmate, etc.. use connections.
