Please help. Not working

I installed an update and now i'm trying to restore my iphone but it gets to the part where it says preparing iphone for restore but then an unknown error comes up. I've uninstalled itunes and reintalled but nothing is helping. Any ideas on trying to fix this would be much appreciated. Mel

Home button in HTML Help Not Working

My Home button in HTML Help Not Working.
Also the Home option from the Options menu does not work. I receive the "This program cannot display the webpage" error.
I have the correct file name (titlepg.htm) in the Advanced Windows Ptoperties "Default" field and the "Home" field. However, I still receive the "This program cannot display the webpage" error.
How can I correct this situation? Thanks, your help is appreciated!

Can you post a couple of screen captures please?
One where you show the Project Explorer with the desired topic in view. Another where you show the dialog where you specify the Home page destination.
Another thing you may wish to try is to define a totally new window, assign the values there and ensure you point to the window in the Single Source Layout recipe.
Oh, and one other thing. Are you using RoboHelp HTML or RoboHelp for Word?

What "child lock" are you talking about?
Do you mean you set up a Managed account (Parental Controls), or some other software?
For Parental Controls, select the account in Users & Groups and uncheck the "Enable parental controls" checkbox.

Help please itunes not working, i have tried everything.

I have windows vista and everytime i try to open itunes it says itunes is not working and then it shuts down. I deleted it and reinstalled it many times, i have tried repairing it, it doesnt work.
Here is what i think caused it, i was trying to convert music files to work with windows media player. so i tried installing different codec programs (I deleted the old before i tried a new codec program. I have since deleted them all and figured out a way to convert them but now itunes doesnt work.
I dont know what to do i would do system restore but i tried it earlier and all the codec programs were stuck in the menu and i couldnt get rid of them so i restored it back.
Is there something in the registry screwing it up? how do i fix it?

F4 help not working in custom backend service for PD form

Dear All,
Iam working with the Create position HCM PD form and i have a requirement to add two fields, one for the company code and the other is for the cost center and then create the relationship betwee the position and the cost center when the form is submitted.
I have defined a generic service and created an enhancement implementation and linked this generic service to the imppementaion. I have written the logic for the F4 help for the fields in the method GET_HELP_VALUES, i have written the scripting for the drop down field in the form to trigger the F4 help in the form.
When the cost center is being passed to the screen, i would then read the value of the cost center in the form workflow and create the relationship between S and K in the workflow as i am unable to achiev this in the design time of the PD form.
But my current problem in that he values are not getting passed from the method to the field on the screen. I have worked on quite a few scenarios for F4 help and doing validations in the implementation in the PA form and i have seen this functionality working fine.
My problem here is that i am unable to understand why the F4 value help is not working in my form. The standard PD service SAP_PD is also being used in the form to have the dropdown values for the account assignment feature.
Could you please suggest me with some clues to fix my issue? i can share more details for further analysis.

First....are you sure you have "marked" that field as possible for F4 help?
Reply: Yes
Second...are you populating the help values strictly from that method...ie. not also using do_operations method to do it. If you refer to the documenation, it points out that trying to use both can cause issues.
Reply: i am using only the GET_HELP_VALUES method and nothing written in do_operations.
Third...when you debug your method, do you "see" the help values actually populating and as you say "not coming back to the screen"? I would check this first to make sure that there are actually values being found (ie. the logic within your service is correct).
Reply: i have put the external break-point in this method and when the form in opened for processing by the HR admininstrator,the form openes up and the control is not being sent to the debugger. I have written the scripting in the exit event of the events and scripts as suggested in the SAP help document. SO when i click on the dropdown field in the form, the debugger starts and executes the method and the code executes, then no values are populated on the screen.
Fourth...are you using any generic services for populating help values as well. HCM P&F has a nasty habit of "if one GS fails, they all fail" so often, your service might work fine but an error in another makes yours appear to fail as well....hard to debug and find those kind.
Reply: Yes i am using the generic service mainly for the purpose of F4 help. I do not see any issue with other gneric services as i have implemented a few generic services for PA forms and they are working fine.
Fifth...oops...forgot the obvious one...make sure it isn't a security issue...ie. make sure you have access to read the cost centers you want.

You actually should be able to do this using an Advanced/Enhanced Generic Service (if this is in fact the step at which you want a true update to occur). Just a thought.

F4 help Not Working in Portal but working in RSRT and BEx

Hi All,
We have a report in which a customized infoobject is used as one of the selection criteria. This field is a navigational attribute of main infoobject. There are other two navigational attributes of this infoobjects as well in the selection critera.
When we run the report using portal and click on F4 for this variable, it is not reading master data whereas it is working fine if we are using RSRT or BEx.
The other two variables are working fine in the portal as well.
Please help us incase if you have encountered such problem.

I will explain the problem in detail
We have a query Q1 and its web template WT_Q1. We have the infoobjects a, b, c and d. the infoobjects b,c and d are the navigational attributes of the infoobject a. We have a cube C01 where all of these infoobjects are used.
All the Infobjects are the selection variables in the Query Q1 which are actually the navigational attributes.
When we F4 on c or d, it is picking up the master data and displaying it iin portal as well as BEx or RSRT.
But the F4 on "B", it is not displaying in portal whereas in BEX or RSRT we are able to get the master data values.
On further analysis, i have found that it is not hitting the specific SQL code from where the master data objects are read.

Java Desktop Overview (jds-help) not working after upgrade to jdk6u1

Hello,
I am running Sol 10 11/06 for sparc on a Sun Blade. I just upgraded to jdk6u1 from jdk5. I installed all required j6 packages, and then installed patches for j6u1. Java seems to be working fine. I then used pkgrm to remove all jdk5-related packages (I searched for all packages starting with SUNWj5 and then removed them).
Now, my Desktop Overview and other java-related help functions do not work. I get this error:

PLEASE HELP:not able to load a simple servlet

I'm new to weblogic server.I'm trying to setup weblogic 510.Everything was
going fine until I got stuck to this small thing.I'm not able to load a
simple servlet!.

I dont think there were any problems in the classpath or
servletpath;Basically WeblogicServer was able to locate the servlet but when
it tried to load the servlet it gave this exception.

Nice to hear it works!
However, one mistake you have in the configuration you provided:
You put D:\weblogic\BDL\servletclasses in both CLASSPATH and
weblogic.class.path, remove it from CLASSPATH.

I dont know what is wrong here. In the weblogic.policy file,I tried
differrent combinations but it never worked.
I find weblogic documentation for troubleshooting to be pathetic.Notuseful
at all.Documentation looks
good to read ;not for practical purposes.I'm not sure whether others have
similar opinion.

Collective search help not working in screen

One time i can get from dictionary, it automatically takes search help.
While for other fields as it is not accepting from dictionary i have given different names and Provided collective search help in Properties. But it is not working as it is working for fields got from dictionary.

Hot key(Ctrl+F1) for More field help not working

Hi all,
I am facing a strange problem. When I have run my WD application there will be some UI elements on the browser say one Input field. If I want to check the More information about this input field, I have to make a right mouse click on it and the More field help appears. By this I am getting the technical information about the UI element.
The Hot key to do this is Ctrl+F1. It's not working with in my server, it's just open the Internet explorer Help. Although I am able to use this Hot key in an other server to find the More field help.
Can anyone suggest me why I am not able to get the More field info from the Hot key Ctrl+F1 in my server. Is there any setting which needs to be made in my server.
I have also tried out to check the HandleHotKeys property of the ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER in my view but it's not working for me as well.
Please suggest what will be the reason.

Your right, I was thinking the opposite - that it wasn't working in 7.0.
Perhaps this change is becuase F1 now launches the Help Center as of 7.01 and higher.
I'm not sure there is a hot key associated with the more field help any longer. I checked the javaScript and F1 is tied to the "help" event (the help center). Alt, Shift or Ctrl - F1 are all routed back to the browser help functionality (bHelp). See this screenshot:

I love the F1 help that takes you to the JavaDoc. However, it doesn't seem to
work for J2EE objects (only J2SE). However, workshop does know about J2EE objects
because the function completion stuff works.
The "J2EE Javadoc location" in IDE Properties is set to http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/api/.
I also changed it to my local install of the Javadoc. Still no satisfaction.
Anyway to get this working?

DHCP/IP helper not working over cellular radio

Hi,
Anyone come across the following issue before?
I have a CISCO1921/K9 router that is connected to our corporate WAN via cellular radio. The cellular connection is via HWIC - 4G WWAN EHWIC.
The cellular network is up and I ping across the WAN form the LAN interface on the router to external resources. I can also access the cellular interface to manage the router via SSH. However, hosts on the LAN network are unable to get an IP address.
Routing seems to be working as I can ping the DHCP server from the LAN interface. Also, if I give the clients on the LAN interface a static IP address, I am able to contact the DHCP server - tested by pinging and RDP.
Please see attached config and debug output. I have also checked the log files on the DHCP server in the data centre and I am unable to see any entries from this network.
I had issues connecting previously and the ISP was able to identify an issue on their end. That was fixed and on the whole it seems to be working except for the DHCP issue.

I don't know of any specific issues but since it occurs in Win2008 but not in Win2003 it sounds like there must be something different in the implementation of handling DHCP requests when using IP helper.
For sure if the switch software is relatively old it's worth upgrading to rule out any possible known bugs at this point.
If investigation is needed we can run some dhcp based debugs during the issue, we can run those same debugs using the Win2003 device (when it's working) to compare the outputs.
Specifically we could look to run:
#deb ip dhcp server packet
#deb ip dhcp server events
Collect those when trying to get an IP address from the server. Maybe it will give us a clue as to why it's not working.
To summarise, upgrading the IOS makes sense, and maybe get those debugs. We might also look at getting some SPAN captures as well.
finally, can you ensure 'service dhcp' is enabled globally?

Please HELP, nothing working! Secure Link to iTunes Store failed

I am going absolutely insane here, I cannot fix this problem. I have been searching Google for hours trying every single thing that people recommend, NONE of them are working. This is ridiculous, something has to work to fix this, please help, I'm getting increasingly frustrated with this issue. My internet works just fine, there is no connection issue that I am aware of. I tried all the things that Google search came up with, none have yet to solve this issue. Please someone HELP!!!
And to answer questions I am sure that will come up:
YES iTunes is enabled through Windows Firewall
YES I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes
YES I have tried turning off Windows Firewall
YES I have tried turning off my anti-virus software
YES I have tried uninstalling my anti-virus software
YES I tried the command prompt Winsock netsh reset
Anyone have any ideas that I haven't yet come across? I'm at a complete and total loss for what to do and I need my software to work properly. Thank you so much.

Here's my diagnostic test results in case this tells someone something useful. I did notice that it says iTunes is not enabled in Windows Firewall but this is false, I checked and it is in fact enabled, not sure why iTunes fails to realize that.

Software update and iLife help not working in Admin account

For the last few weeks (maybe since iLife 11 was installed) software update and iLife help has quit working on the single administration account on my iMac. All works fine on the secondary accounts.
If I try to use software update it says everything is up to date, even though I know there are updates available that can be seen if checking from a different account on the machine. In iLife, if I try to access the help files it tells me I need to download them. I click to download and after a few seconds it takes me back to the front help page and I then go through the entire process again but the help download never happens. On secondary accounts the help files work no problem.
I've tried many of the tips for deleting helpfile plists, but nothing seems to work for me.
Can any kind person list for me everything I should look to delete or move in the account to get these things working again?

Since the issue is specific to your original user account, you can proceed in two ways. One is to log into your new account, make a list of the preference files (plists) located in /username/Library/Preferences/, including any in the ByHost subfolder, log back into the original account, move everything on that other account's list from the original account's Preferences folder into a newly created folder on the Desktop, log out and back in, and see if the problem goes away. If so, you can copy the ones in the Desktop folder (one at time) back into /Preferences/, restart, and see if the problem returns. If so, you've identified the corrupt/conflicting one. Continue with all of them until isolating the bad ones. That'll save you the trouble of resetting preferences.
The second way is much more detailed and I'll not burden you with the steps unless the above doesn't fix the issue.
