HELLO I AM FROM ATHENS GREECE
I HAVE NO IDEA FROM ORACLE AND FORMS BUT I MUST SAVE AND OPEN FILES FROM A CRASHET PC FROM A CUSTOMER.
WITH NTFS FILES BACKUP I HAVE SAVE THIS FILES ON C:
oracle:
admin
ora92db
oradata
orant
and ROTA:
AKINITA.fmx
FISPROS3.fmx
NOMPROS.fmx
nompros.RDF
andmany others with .fmx .rdf .rep .plx .olb
i found shotcuts in desktop with the name
ΑΝΤΡΩΝ E -9 - 03 (properties C:\orant\BIN\ifrun60.EXE module=AKINITA.fmx userid=rota3/rota3 and start from C:\rota)
ΦΙΣΙΚΑ 003(C:\oracle\orant\BIN\ifrun60.EXE module=FISPROS3 userid=rota3/rota3 start from C:\rota)and many others.
i have downloaded oracle 11g and forms 6i but i dont now what i must do to open this files.
PLEASE HELP ME BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY IMPORTANT FILES FROM MY CUSTOMER

Sorry, but if you don't know oracle and forms this is a job for someone else.
It seems there is a shared oracle home with a 9i database and oracle Forms 6i.
Orant is the forms home.
Ora92 db is the database software,
oradata the database files and
admin holds the database parameter files.
Without good knowing it will be hard to get the data back.

I'm trying to install Oracle 8i on Windows-xp
Professional. it gets installed but runs only once.
that means its fails to run once I shut down the
system and restart & shows the message-"oracle not
found" or "tns server is not found". Can anybody

I've found that Oracle tends to survive well when installed on a supported platform which is upgraded, but there are usually issues when attempting a fresh install on a newer platform.
Your problem states "Oracle Not Found". Therefore your OS services know that they should be attempting to connect to an Oracle database but the database is 'not found'. Further, it says that the TNS Server is not found. TNS is Oracle's term for 'on the network'.
Is there a business reason that requires you to run obsolete software? If the database software MUST be obsolete, what is the logic behind upgrading the operating system? (In other words - why only upgrade one?)
You need to check the following things:
1) You have a static IP address and host name, and are NOT using DHCP;
(look at or post the result of command line "ipconfig /all")
2) Check whether the Oracle database service and the listener service are running;
(Under "Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administration Tools > Service" or command line services.msc)
3) Tell us how well the listener is running;
(Command line "lsnrctl status")

Hi Shahbaz,
If you are trying to logon to Applications GUI and system gives you an error 'Invalid Username/Password' that means the Username and Password does not match. Create (In case User Name does not exist)/Reset the password for user you are trying to logon with.
Else if you are using oracle back end username password to populate some interface tables you need to find out password for "apps" or any other oracle user that you DBA might have created.

First of all I’m really sorry if I’ve posted this question on wrong thread. I am unable to get any category related to Oracle Apps.
If there is any particular thread concerned to Oracle Apps then please let me know.

Q1 – What happens when we connect Oracle Apps through URL . How the URL connects it to apps. What are all background process to do so . Names with their workings. (Start level from the first login page)

Please help with dynamic form field names in cfloop

Hi,
I need to create a form with day, date, month, year and time for 12 months
Instead of coding them 12 times, I create day,date,month,year and time fileds in my form 1 time and then I use cfloop from="1" to="12" index="i" to loop these form fields 12 times.
I gave each form field name such as: <input type="text" name="ScheduleDate_# i #" value=" "> this way each of those field will be named differently such as:
ScheduleDate_1, ScheduleDate_2,ScheduleDate_3, ScheduleTime_1,ScheduleTime_2, etc
I'm facing problem when this form is submitted, I think the error has something to do with the pound sign (##) when it comes to updating the back end

Please help me to form a xschema for this data

basically my xml would contain callername,callerpassword,username,password,id as data.
1)All the data input can only be strings.
2)callername and callerpassword is always mandatory(required).
valid options
1)xml can contain callername,callerpassword,username,password
2)xml input can be callername,callerpassword,guid
3)xml input can be callername,callerpassword,username,password,guid.

2353335 ONLY (which may be none of the cases in the example below but this is an obviously smaller subset of these data).

if you want to select clients that only have program 2353335 and no other, the query below would help:
select client_id
from mytab m
where program = 2353335
and not exists (select 1 from mytab where client_id = m.client_id and program != 2353335);Just replace select client_id with select count(*) if you want just to count rows.

Please Help! Adobe Form and Access

I have created multiple forms using the Adobe Designer 7.0. These forms are used by about 100 users and I would like to capture the information being keyed. How do I establish a connection from the form to a table in Access, so that the information keyed in the Adobe form will fill the table in my Access database?.....Also is there a book available for the Adobe Designer program?

An easy way to post information to a database would be to put a submit button on your form, and set the target to, for example, an ASP file, which receives the info and dumps it into a database. Direct database connections using ADBC only use DSN's on the local machine. So, if you wanted everyone in your organization to connect to a specific Access file, you would have to set up the DSN on each and every computer that will use the PDF. There is also SOAP capability, but I believe it only works in version 7.0.

Oracle report parameters- please help

iam working on reports 2.5 and oracle DB7.3.
In a report parameter in order to retrive the parameters i gave
a query as
select docno from docket where status='A'
for some period it has worked well.
may be as the number of transactions have increased the report
parameter form is not gettign loaded and when i click the report
it gives me r25srv error.
i could get rid of this error by restricting the parameters
pertaining only to 2001 documents.
the report is working but i have limited the trasactions here
and the problem has been solved temporarily.
my question is
1) does the parameter field takes limited no of transactions.?
if so what is limit to the parmeters.
this i am asking the reason is i found some docnos got displayed
latter i could view only junck characters in the parameter drop
down list. This could view only once.all the time it gives
r25srv error
2) how can i retrive all the docnos in the parameter other than
the above query.

here i donot find necessity of using Distinct and groupby clause.
as the docnos are unique in the table i was referring,further
iam not using any function so as to use groupby clause.
Ofcourse i will try with LOV by calling reports from forms.
This particular table contains 12000 records ,each record has 1
doc no assigned to it.That means i want all the 12000 docs to be
viewed in the parameter so that i can select one doc no to view
that particular report.

I am trying to install Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer 11g (11.1.1.2.0) for Linux x86-64.
I have installed weblogic 10.3.5 generic jar file.
When i try to install forms and reports server the configuration step fails while creating weblogic domain.
Please help me installing portal and reports.
Is there any patch i am missing or the weblogic version is incorrect?

You cannot configure Fmw 11.1.1.2 against WLS 10.3.5. They are not supported nor compatible.
If you want to use WLS 10.3.5, you need to "install" 11.1.1.2, but do not configure. That is an installation option. After you have successfully installed 11.1.1.2 you will need to patch it to 11.1.1.6. After patching, you then can run the configuration (config.bat).

submit the form, it'll pass a string URL with the parameter to a
new browser.

But I get an Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot
be served at this time. Oracle Reports Server CGI - Reports
Server name is not specified.
However, if I move the cursor to the end of the same url (or put
a space at the end) and hit Enter, then the report is
displayed. I guess there must be something wrong with my
configuration. Please help. I appreciated any inputs from you.

I found the solution to my problem. It was nothing to do with
the cgicmd.dat keymap file, but the html form itself. It's
confused between the url arguments and form arguments from the
submit button. So, what I did was open a new window with all
arguments instead of using the submit function.
