Please Help. Serious Problems following 10.5.2 and graphics update

I installed the 10.5.2 update and at first all seemed ok but a bit buggy and slow and more system crashes that I didn't used to have. Than I ran software update and saw the new graphics update which I installed thinking it might fix some of those problems but instead it has made things a lot worse! My main user account is now unusable. Finder is constantly relaunching and applications launch eventually but are stuck on the spinning beach ball and won't let you do anything. I did eventually discover that system preferences still worked ok but slow and tried creating a new admin account which is working fine but I still have no idea what has gone wrong with my main account and can't access all my files. I have tried repairing permissions and installing the combo update through the new user account but the old one is still unusable.

My first guess would be to re-apply the 10.5.2 combo updater, but since you tried that it indicates something else is going on. From the good admin account, launch /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app and type:
+login <username of bad admin account>+
it will ask for the password for the bad admin account. Enter it. It won't show any characters, so make sure you type it correctly. Then type:
+cd /Users/<username of bad admin account>/Library/Preferences/+
+rm com.apple.finder.plist+
+killall Finder+
When the Finder comes back up, quit Terminal and logout of the good admin account and log in as the bad admin. Hope that helps.

PLEASE HELP - Serious problem with my Creative Zen Touch firmware

Ok, so I finally decided that I would upgrade to the latest firmware version for my Creative Zen Touch. I knew that doing so would erase everything on it, so I backed up everything onto my computer's hard dri've. So from that standpoint, I'm in the clear.
HOWEVER, during the upgrade process, my computer froze, leaving my precious MP3 player without ANY firmware. This then drove it into "recovery" mode, where I can either clean up, format, or reload firmware. I've gone through each of these options, but when I go to "reload firmware" my computer will no longer detect my Zen! I've tried reinstalling different driver versions, different firmware versions, etc. The bottom line now is that my mp3 player has no firmware, and my computer won't detect it.
I feel like I probably need to go back to the basics. Unfortuantely, I don't have my installation CD with me. Can anyone post the initial installation file please? Thanks in advance!
I really hope I can work this out, I don't know if I've gone a day without my Zen in the past two years!

Simon, this is actually a common problem with the touch. Mine did it about a year after purchase, so I was safe to open it up and fix it. It is actually a really simple fix and is due to a loose connector. I know alot of other people on nomadness.net were having this problem, so I posted a solution here. Hope this helps!

Please help - serious problems

I’m having issues with my Macbook Pro, it’s been going on for a few months now. I think all of the small problems must be caused by the same thing but I can’t work out what that is. I’ve tried reinstalling OSX but it made no difference.
These are the problems I’ve been having:
*Disc images won’t mount – when I try to install a new program or update an existing one, I can download the disc image but as soon as I double click on it I get a message saying ‘disc image failed to mount – codec overrrun’
*A lot of my files (mainly Microsoft office files) get corrupted for no obvious reason
*When I try to update my Microsoft office software the Excel files won’t install properly and I always lose the program completely, meaning I have to reinstall the software all over again
*If I download a .rar file, whenever I try to expand it Stuffit tells me the file isn’t encoded or compressed
*Every time I turn my computer off it resets the icons in the dock to be the default icons only
*I can’t bookmark new pages in Firefox, it doesn’t respond at all
There’s probably other problems I’ve forgotten about but those are the main ones. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong and what I could do to fix it? I’m on a really tight budget so I can’t afford to take it for a professional to look at unless I really have to.

2. How much free space is on the hard drive?
838.4 MB - that sounds stupidly small, I've deleted a heap of large files recently because I thought that might be causing a problem. Maybe I'm not looking at the right place to find out the free space? I just clicked 'get info' on the hard drive and that' the number in 'available'
3. What normal maintenance do you do on a regular basis?
To be honest, nothing, I realise now that's probably very naive of me but I've never had a Mac before and it never seemed to have any problems until this happened.

Yes, it temporarily seems to improve things but after the next time I turn it off and back on again it goes back to how it was previously
6. have you ever booted from your OS installer disk and run Repair Disk from Disk Utility/
No, I'm not sure how to do that, I assume I have to press a certain key while the computer is restarting to get to that option?
I also ran a hardware test and it failed, but I've not been able to find out what the error code means, does anyone know how to go about finding out? Results are below

You can create multiple follow up activites for the given activity
ERP Sales Order and ECC Sales order is same when the backend is ECC. Basically ERP Order refers to the Order of the backend system

Let me try to provide some of my comments:
1.For ERP Sales order, there are mainly two method
- to use the standard navigation bar entry ERPSALESORDER
which is in the standard SALES_B2B icwc profile;
- to use ITS technical to call va01/va02/va03 transaction directly in browser
for this you will have to define your own transaction launcher entry;
2.Assign sales area
- firstly, you need to define the sales area in ERP system as normal SD guys do;
- then, in CRM system ppoma_crm, you will have to assign the ERP sales org/distribution channel/division to the CRM org unit, just as normal CRM sales guys do;
(here is actually no special settings for ic webclient, only that for ic webclient, it is recommended to have unique sales area defined)
3.Incompletion log
- this follows the same settings as that iin ERP, SD guys do, this has no extra settings in CRM side
4.Categorization
- I believe this is a topic different with the ERP sales order topic, more like that in the service order, isn't it?
I have to think about it before answerring.

Are you aware that if you restore your ipad that you will lose all data from your ipad and very difficult to get it back unless you had previously made a back-up of your data on itunes or in the cloud. and that would be on the computer you set those up on. (There are some independent apps out there that might help restore data but I don't have any experience with them...)
Also, I think if you restore on another computer you're supposed to have administrator rights and have the latest itunes update. And I think if you sync (if restoring is considered syncing with another computer, you'll be locked out of your computer or a new one.)
I don't know if there is a way for you to safely eject your ipad from your mom's laptop and find another way, but please read this

If you look at the first one, you should be able to align quite easily as follows, View>Smart Guides being your friends:
1a) ClickDrag the top flower with the Selection Tool (black arrow) so it is clear of the pointy part;
1b) Click an empty spot on the Artboard to deselect, then ClickDrag the top flower by its bottom Anchor Point (Smart Guides say anchor when you are close enough to grab it) down to snap to the top Anchor Point on the pointy part (Smart Guides say anchor when you are close enough);
1c) Do the same for the boroom flower.
If you look at the third one, to get the triangles and the hexagon sized and aligned precisely, you may, creating them with stroke and no fill:
3a) Click with the Polygon Tool and select a suitable/chosen Radius and 6 Sides, then Object>Transform>Rotate by 30 degrees (or use the Rotate option in the Transform palette), you may Object>Transform>Reset Bounding Box to have it look nicer;
3b) Click with the Polygon Tool and select the same Radius and 3 sides, then deselect and ClickDrag the top Anchor Point to snap to the top Anchor Point of the hexagon;
3c) Object>Transform>Rotate by 180 degrees clicking Copy, deselect, and ClickDrag the bottom Anchor Point to snap to the bottomAnchor Point of the hexagon;
3d) Select all and Ctrl/Cmd+G to Group (for alignment purposes, you will know why if you try without grouping, see below).
To create full symmetry, you may use circles rather than almost circular ellipses; you may:
3d) Click with the Ellipse Tool and select a suitable/chosen Width = height;
3e) Object>Transform>Move a copy vertically by the Height (= Width) twice (or you may Ctrl/Cmd+D to repeat), to get three circles over one another with no gaps;
3f) Select the topmost and bottommost ones and Object>Transform>Rotate a copy by 120 degrees twice, to have all the seven circles precisley touching one another; you may Group them, but it is not necessary.
To have everything aligned, just:
3g) Select everything and click Vertical Align Center and Horizontal Align Center in the Align palette; you may click the pointy group or the circles ojnce more before aligning if you want to keep it in place (that will make it the key object that the other set is aligned to).
These ways may also help you further.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I assume you know where your catalogue file (the lrcat file) is located. In the same folder is a previews lrdata folder which you should delete or rename in Explorer, then start LR again.
If I've made incorrect assumptions above, sorry, and we'll go back over it from the start.

It was never free for the 3GS.
It is if the initial sign-up is done on an iPhone 4, iPad or iPod touch 4th gen.
