Please help someone confused

Hi everyone. I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right
forum but I need some help and the people I know are
as clueless as me. I've been having problems with my
Internet Explorer everytime I click on a link that
tries to open a new window. What happens is that a new
window does open up but never loads. I have to press
the stop button on the new browser window then refresh
for the window to load. Also, sometimes despite
stopping and refreshing, it doesn't work and all I can
see in the address window is a javascript address. I
also have the same problem when trying to open windows
media player within a browser. My computer just
crashes. I used to be able to use netscape too but now
it just gives an error message upon opening. I don't
know if unstalling Opera and installing and
uninstalling versions of Winamp has anything to do
with it. Also, I downloaded Java Web Start because i
thought it would be a plug-in to help me open
javascript windows, but it doesn't work still. I will
appreciate any form of help and advice! Also, sorry
for writing here and please direct me to a different
place if you think that is more appropriate. Thanks so

mas2388I habitually burn my toast in the mornings, I believe that I have a congenital inability to patiently wait for the toast and constantly peer under the grill without getting distracted by something or other. Usually this is driven by the necessaity to prepare industrial strength coffee, but it could just as easily be a task of domesticity, such as wiping the bench or relieving the stainless steel sink of coffee stains. It seems such a waste when I then pick up the smell of burning toast moments later and I have to scrape the darkened hydrocarbon-based charcoal waste all over the newly cleaned sink and spatter the work-surface with an untidy collection of darkened crumbs.
To some such things may be trivial, but to me its a metaphor of the futility of life in the vortex of Camusian world.

If you are using web based email (accessing from Safari), from the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab.
Click: Show Cookies
Delete all Yahoo cookies.
Now from the menu bar again click Safari / Empty Cache.
Restart your Mac, launch Safari. Try Yahoo.
If the problem persists, there's a better way to access your Yahoo mail without a browser.
Launch the Mail application. Either from your Dock or Applications folder.
From the Mail menu bar click Mail / Preferences then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab.
Click + under the Accounts window on the left.
Type in your name, Yahoo email address and password.
Click: Create
No more having to use Safari or any browser to access your Yahoo mail. Just click the Mail icon in the Dock.

ok, well I have been downlowding my songs, right, for about a week now. But i dont use itunes to get my songs,I use MP3 Rocket to get all my songs and then I put the songs that i got onto the itunes. well I did that, plus I put artwork on it, so it has a pic for the ipod touch
well now this week, when I put them on itunes and downlowed, and I went to find the artwork tab, it dident show the tab that i would be putting the artwork in,then when i try to find it, it seems like its not there any more. but I did with the rest of them that i have before, so now like 15 of my songs dont have artwork on it because it doesent show a artwork tab when I look for it, so now i dont want to keep doing this with my rest of my songs, because my ipod touch is basicly ment to have a artwork on it , because thats the most thing it can stand out
please help, i like to have someone that knows to fix this problem and knows what there doing please,

PLEASE HELP, SOMEONE REMOTELY VIEWING/SCREEN SHARING MY MACBOOK?

Hi - I urgently need help from anyone who knows about this issue - I am a very basic macbook user, and don't really know about all the different programmes etc. I believe someone ( the guy who sold me the macbook, who told me he was a mac repair person and programmer) has been hacking into the computer, using the remote access - there is a programmed called SCREEN SHARING but I cannot access it - and a bunch of other files such as odsagent etc - not sure if these indicate he is using the screen sharing/ remote access to my mac.
The reason that I believe he is accessing the mac, is that he downloaded all the files, so would clearly have access to passwords etc, there were loads of his old files, that showed pictures of people saying " target", and old files showing he was studying comuter/ mac programming. The first time I went online all of a sudden the computer froze, and two green lights showed on the num lock key and the shift key I think, the two keys were frozen, and the keyboard basically wouldnt respond, but the activity continued on the screen. This has happened a number of times since then, usually just randomly the keyboard freezes, and if you wait a while it goes back to normal - the mouse works fine, then one day it keep sort of freezing/ getting stuck/ pausing for no reason - the next day its fine again. He put in a load of software, which he has obviously been able to get round the need of liscening numbers, as he did not provide me with them. one day I saw a name "macbook pro" suddenly appear, and that it was tryin to connect/ share or something - this has never happened to me before with my old mac- it was like another computer was connecting/ sharing with my computer without my permission - this was when I was online. This has not happened since.
I am scared he is accessing the computer, because these things that happened, and because there is loads and loads of files and programmes, which sound suspicious, i dont know what they do, and I just have this dogey feeling about this guy, and the fact that there is screen viewing/ remote management files etc which I cant access, but I am not sure if they are being accessed.
PLEASE HELP - I FEEL LIKE MY PRIVACY IS BEING INVADED - I was speaking to my family on Skype and the green lights came on/ it froze, I continued with the conversation, but later I felt like he might have been watching.
If anyone can recommend an expert in the London area, that can check the mac to see there is nothing on there that is being used to remotely control/ screen share my mac, I would be very grateful - its just horrible using your computer, and always being worried someone is invading your privacy, and and downloading your files etc.

Since you don't know much about computers, disconnect your internet (wireless or wired) to prevent future unwanted access. While it is smart to contact Apple Communities, this is a criminal matter and you should consider taking the matter to the police. People like this will not stop with you. You need to list the private data that may be stolen and take action (cancel credit cards, change passwords, bank accounts, phone numbers, whatever you have cause to be worried about). If you can afford it, buy a new hard drive, remove the old one, and install OS X from scratch. Give your old hard drive to the cops. Make sure you turn the Firewall on (click the Apple up on the toolbar top left > System Preferences > Security) and uncheck any "Sharing" options (System Prefernces > Sharing). This event you are experiencing is unfortunate, and rare, but with a pro-active attitude you will come through it fine - and wiser.

dgambler is right in that by purchasing a Snow Leopard disk (presuming you don't already have one) and performing a fresh install (it is easy) is a sure way to "take back" the controls of your Mac. You will need to study online tutorials for "wiping the drive" rather than a simple install. But you should let the police look at the hard drive before you do that - they will be able to see exactly what this person did.

Please Help Someone My Yahoo Mail on IPhone

Someone please help: my yahoo email account was working fine 6 months ago suddenly my Inbox won't download any messages. It will say loading 25 more messages at the top of the screen and nothing else, I click on it and the downloading circle moves then doesnt download! My trash comes up, my saved mail comes up but not Inbox! Why is this? I've tried the izzymail service no good, i've called yahoo they say its an apple problem, went to Apple store and they say its a Yahoo problem. Any suggestions are welcome! Please!

I had this problem once. I ended up deleting my mail account info on the iPhone then putting it back in with a different name and it worked.

This is most likely faulty battery. Make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

The sounds setting is on, and I can play music etc but other sounds such as the select click or the keyboard clicks are not there. It is a new pad so maybe some setting is on off or something? The volume button on the side is on full but still not clicks!

No I didn't. Someone suggested in another thread that my iPod was registering as a disk instead of a device, so if I removed my iPod as a disk on Disk Utility then it would reload etc. and show up in iTunes. Which it didn't, and instead just cleared all my music (16,000 songs).
So frustrating.

It all depends on exactly how you move the library from one machine to the other. The database holding information about your library is normally in a folder called iTunes, with the media in a subfolder called iTunes Media. In this layout you can usually copy the entire iTunes folder from one machine to the other and it will work. If the media folder is split to a new location however then often the links to tracks will fail on a new computer.
You shoud find that the FindTracks script is able to repair the links in your library.
I'm not sure I know what is going on with the purchased music, however if you enable Edit > Preferences > Store > Automatic Downloads > Music you should be able to recover your past store purchases.

Serious Problem with New Mac Pro! Please help!!

Ok, long story short.
My Mac pro keeps crashing after I installed the latest 05-2007 security update. It seems to crash everytime I come back to the computer after the screensaver has been on for a while (its not the screensaver though) I reinstalled the newer v1.1 version of the update and I thought the problem had gone, but it hasnt as the computer just crashed again.
I cannot see any correlation to any other programs, and im 99% sure its not a hardware issue. It does not seem to relate to parallels, or the screensaver, or itunes, or anything!
And there is another crazy thing, when the computer restarts, it says that it recovered from a serious error and asks you to sumit a report, so i click the send report button and do you see a normal report window with all the code ? NO!!! Press report and the initial window just DISAPPEARS, nothing else happens!!! i.e it wont send the but to apple!! no wonder they haven't fixed it!!!
