Please Help - Songs Vanished!
Hi there,
I was in iTunes this morning and just playing some Xmas songs from my iPod through iTunes. I visited iTunes Store to purchase a song but when I came back to iTunes itself, the screen was blank.
It looked like a MS Excel spreadsheet when you press pagedown and end up with a screen of blank boxes, however ALL of my songs have just dissapeared. The song that was playing was STILL playing but when it finished, nothing else came on.
The only songs I have left are ones from a playlist uncer "Music" in my devices list. Can anyone PLEASE help as I am gutted.
I am using iTunes 7.0.2.16 if that helps.

Disconnect your iPod. Is all your music still on the iPod and does it play?

Please help songs that were on my ipod not there
So I was switching from manually update to automatic update and it said it would add all songs in existing library to ipod so I clicked yes. So it took all the songs that were from somebody else's library on their computer and erased them. Is there any way to get these back? I't's over a thousand songs! Please help!

Please help song order on new I Pod shuffle
Hiya
I have just bought an I pod shuffle to use while running etc and I can't for the life of me get the ipod to play songs in order I have set up. The Shuffle just keeps playing in alphabetical order.
I have restored the ipod and tried to create playlist and still the ipod mixes the playlists up and just plays in alphabetical order.
I am at a loss as to what to do. I have an i phone and used to have a i pod nano and never had a problem

I HAD IT SWITCHED TO SHUFFLE AND USING THE ANNOYING VOICE OVER TO CHANGE BETWEEN THE ONE PLAYLIST I HAVE SYNCED AND THE HORRIBLE ALL SONGS MODE ONLY SERVED TO PLAY ALL THE SONGS IN ORDER!!!!!!! my ipod mini worked for a while, and nothing happened to it. i didnt drop it or anything. and then one day i went to plug it in to charge it, it said it was charged, i unplugged it, and now i have an empty ipod. all the songs are still on my itunes, so ill plug my ipod in, it'll say its updating, but then i still have nothing on my ipod. why?

my laptop crashed and burned and off went my iTunes. I got on my husbands laptop (he also has iTunes) and logged in, but the songs I had purchased weren't there, even though I signed in with my apple ID.
Does anyone know how I can get my songs? I hadn't loaded them all onto my iPod yet. there are at least 30 songs I bought that I haven't transferred.You can only download songs one time. Purchases are not going to automatically download onto another computer just by signing into your account. It's your responsibility to make backups and transfer the purchases to whatever computer you may want them on.
Apple isn't obligated to let you re-download lost purchases, but they've been known to make exception. Email them here:

Shared libraries from other people's libraries showing up permanently on MacBook Pro. And a lot of purchased and ripped songs vanished... Anyone...please help...?!?!
The home sharing is now off and still has all the songs one there. Even rebooted the wifi modem, supporting hard drives and all computer involved in this catastrophe!! :( all computer are all updated and updated to the new iTunes.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated and any more questions welcome. ThanksBasically anything not purchased from iTunes that is on my iPhone 6 will not sync over to my MacBook. I have tried to just manually back it up but only the purchased music will sync over to iTunes.

What I have noticed is that all of the songs left in my Itunes Library were download a year+ ago, so I was thinking that somehow I restored iTunes to a previous date or something like that. I have no idea honestly. Anybody with useful information, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
You haven't stated wether you have looked in your music folder on your hard drive. Do you normally store your music in the My Music folder in My Documents?
The thing is, if your tracks were deleted from your hard drive, then iTunes would STILL have them listed in it's library, although there would be an exclamation mark next to them. With the iTunes library empty, it just sounds like it has emptied that for some reason, rather than the files actually being deleted from your hard drive.
Find where you keep your tracks on your hard drive and make sure they are still there. Then in iTunes, go into 'File', and 'Add to folder library', selecting the folder where your tracks are kept. -
All my plat list have vanished, and all of my library has been duplicated and triplicated and some have 4 copies. i looked to try and delete the copied ones and tried to delete by putting on when they had been added. the date came up 11th march 2013 for ALL of the songs!. my library is at least 4 years old, and i constantly add songs. so why would it come up that date? and why have all my play list dissapeared?(I think also on that date) please help?
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any real-time scanning process.
Reverting to an earlier version of your library may clean up the duplicates issue along with restoring the original date added values. If you still have real duplicates I have a tool that might be able to help...

Please help, I am constanly re importing songs, I have to re sync my ipod to my library each time i plug it in, and I am unable to import songs from my media player, any ideas?
When I plug it in I get the **'s ipod is already synced with another itunes library so do I want to erase & sync message
Even though it is the same music in iTunes, iTunes does not see it as the exact same library because you had to re-add all the songs to it.
You will need to erase and sync and you iPod will simply end up as it is now.
It's like of your house burns down and you rebuild it exactly the same, it is still not the "same" house it was. -
Ok, see, i was dowloading some songs off of http://www.youtube-mp3.org. I dragged the songs into my itunes library, but when i looked, they weren't in there. so i looked at my ipod and the songs i downloaded were on it! i dont know how either! i tried to back up my downloaded songs so i could restore it to see if that would help, but there wasn't an option for me to back up my ipod when i right clicked on it. i looked atsome of the other forums about the "AppData" solution. it said to delete the corrupted file if there was one, but i dont know what to look for. can someone please help me? this is driving me crazy.

Updated iTunes and now can't remove songs from my iPod - please help
I've updated iTunes to version 11.0.0.163 and have an iPod Nano 16gb 5th generation.
In iTunes, I'm no longer able to manually select songs to remove them from my iPod - I can't even see the list of music that's on my iPod. The only option it gives me is to sync, and I don't want to do that. Before I upgraded iTunes, it was easy to move music between my iPod and iTunes, now I can't - what's happened?
My iPod is full so I want to remove some music, not all of it. Any advice? Please help - I'm going round in circles!

You may prefer to use the Music Sync page to select or deselect Playlists, Artists, Albums etc and click apply.
Delete your files is enabled by ticking the Manualy manage music option on the Device Summary page. You may have to scroll down to find it -
Ok. So my iTunes started acting up a few months ago. ALL of the songs I purchased from the iTunes store stop in the middle of the song and then go back to the begining (I keep it on repeat one song by the way). Please help!!! (Windows 7) I would really like to hear my songs all the way through, but I can't . I tried the "Convert Protected ACC files to Purchased ACC files fix" but it DIDN'T work. I don't know what to do. It does it when I transfer the music onto my Classic too.

If you have an iPod Touch running iOS 4.3.3 or later, you can download the songs in the purchased tab of iTunes on the iPod.

If you want to delete a song from your iOS device on iOS 7, tap Songs, swipe the song from right to left, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
