Please help!! songs wont go to ipod

i have the songs in my itunes library, but when i plug in the ipod, it says that its updated, and all the songs arent on my ipod. i have already tried converting the id3 tags, and that hasnt worked. Please help!

I had that problem when I first started out. I ended up getting them all to play by dragging and clicking every downloaded song into the "Purchase" playlist. Even though they werent purchases, it worked. Although this might not be the "right" way to do it, it sure worked for me. Try dragging the songs to purchases and plug in your IPOD and see if that works.
Hope that helps!

    For the wifi problem:
Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect OK before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

please help me out! my ipod doesn't show any thing in my screen. please can someone helphelp me please T^T.
or could someone teach me to open a ipod photo on. i want to check inside is it find?

Try resetting it. If that doesn't help, try restoring it.
There are no user serviceable parts inside an iPod, and opening it will void the warranty.

If you are unable to get the iPod into Disk Mode to try and restore it, it's a very good indication, as mentioned in the article, that the iPod's hard drive is damaged and in need of replacement either by Apple or a third party repair company.

  • Please help - why won't my Ipod songs transfer into new Itunes?

I have a new Macbook, and want to move all the songs from my Ipod into my Itunes library on this computer. Nothing works. Can someone please help?
Please note - currently my library is on my crappy HP. But I did read that you can transfer all songs from the Ipod alone (including those not purchased from Itunes).

mac book   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I use an application called Senuti. That transfers all content from your iPod to your Mac, including non purchased content. It's free and easy to use. With your iPod connected to your Mac, launch Senuti and the rest is pretty simple. I would suggest you create a folder on your desktop and set your destination to that folder in the Senuti preferences. Also, it's a good idea to keep everything organized by checking the artist and album boxes in the preferences as well. Like I said, it's pretty easy. Good luck.

You could purchase the music yourself an make the artists happy.

  • A song wont play my ipod

i put the song low on it and it plays the beginning but that all then goes to the next song the video wont work either and i really need help to fix it so please help me.

So you've tried re-importing those songs into your iTunes library again, too?
Well, are these songs from the iTunes Store, or not?
If they are from the iTS, try checking out this article about that problem:
iPod doesn't play purchased content from the iTunes Store
It might not be your iPod, but the files themselves.
    Try this:
Import either a new CD into iTunes library, or just a second copy of one of the albums that's currently on your iPod.
Now, sync that to your iPod, as well as all the song files that work, these ten tracks that don't work, etc.
Does this newly imported album work or not?

  • Please Help Me..!! Ipod Classic 120gb

    Hello Friends Please Help Me...
I Just Bought an IPod Classic 120gb In Second hand. While Buy The Condition Was Good. Once I Connect In My Laptop It Ask Me  To Restore. I Restored Successfully Then I Load Some Songs But It Showing In Others Not In My Music (It Shows No music). Another Problem Is Many Times Its Reset Automatically .

I am sorry to hear that your experience has been so bad with your iPod. As I said, there are some annoyances - some people may be more bothered by them than others. And of course, losing ones music (more than once) is a major deal.
One note concerning one of your complaints - the low volume. Since you mentioned you paid Euros, I would have to guess that it was purchased in the EU. Apple was sued over the maximum volume several years ago by the French government which ultimately resulted in the EU regulating maximum volume in all MP3 players. Units purchased in the US do not suffer from this issue (as my ringing ears can attest to on more than one occasion). And I actually reduce the gain on all of my albums to reduce the distortion that current record producers introduce into the music with over-compression.
The one issue I wholeheartedly agree with you on is the pausing. Though to me it is nothing more than an annoyance (and it happens only rarely), I can see how it would REALLY bother someone. As far as other players are concerned, I've had issues with those as well - a SanDisk device that suddenly decided to show duplicates of all of my songs. Of course, the SanDisk did not cost nearly as much as my iPod.
Are iPods either the best or the worst of the MP3 players on the market. I can't say as I have not done the research. I agree though, that there is plenty of room for improvement.

  • Please Help - Songs Vanished!

    Hi there,
I was in iTunes this morning and just playing some Xmas songs from my iPod through iTunes. I visited iTunes Store to purchase a song but when I came back to iTunes itself, the screen was blank.
It looked like a MS Excel spreadsheet when you press pagedown and end up with a screen of blank boxes, however ALL of my songs have just dissapeared. The song that was playing was STILL playing but when it finished, nothing else came on.
The only songs I have left are ones from a playlist uncer "Music" in my devices list. Can anyone PLEASE help as I am gutted.
I am using iTunes 7.0.2.16 if that helps.

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
      1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
      2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
      3. iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
             necessary to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.
If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code or as a New device, then skip Step 9 and restore as New.
