Please help: still having vista probl

Just like many other people out there I am having issues with my zen micro and windows vista.
I've tried everything i can think of but nothing works. Vista wont recognize my player as any type of device (yet it charges via usb cable). I'm troubleshooting with my old XP PC (micro worked beautifully with this) and my new Vista laptop. I've tried 3 cables that all work with my pc (xp) so its not the cable causing the problem. The player charges through all 3 usb ports on my laptop so the ports seem to be working fine. I followed the "tutorial" and installed the new firmware on my micro via the xp pc. (note: installing the firmware did NOT erase my music like i was told it would. i later formatted and flashed the firmware again). And yes i uninstalled wmp before i updated the firmware. My player is still not recognized by vista (literally nothing happens when i plug it in except that it begins to charge).
I then tried creatives suggestions through recovery mode for when a pc wont recognize a player. I cleaned/scanned it and rebooted it. didn't work. then i formatted the micro and rebooted. that didn't work either. then i flashed the firmware yet again and rebooted. and guess what... that didn't work either.
I've done all of this because the micro with this firmware (yes its the right version) is supposed to work with wmp and vista. I then downloaded the supposedly vista compatible software from the website and tried that. my player is still not recognized by anything. Also, now that i've updated the firmware the creative software my xp pc won't allow me to transfer the music back on to my player, I have to use wmp0 (i dont know if that means anything). It would be one thing if I couldn't get the player to sync, etc with wmp but vista wont even recognize the fact that i've hooked up a portable device. now i'm just confused as i dont know what i could do to fix this.
Maybe i'm missing something or doing something wrong but i can't figure out what. I love this mp3 player and would really like to get it working but apparently since i've had this player for over a year i can't get any help from customer service. after spending a ton of money on this new laptop i really dont want to have to go out and buy an mp3 player that in the end probably wont stand up to the zen micro. If anyone here could help me i would certainly appreciate it.

2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Applications.
4. Tap Manage Applications.
5. Tap the program you wish to delete.
6. Tap Uninstall.

Please help! Having trouble with downloads!

Whenever I try to download windows programs, microsoft excel tries to open the program... I'm trying to download Media Player, but after the download is complete and I click open, Excel tries to open it (which obviously doesn't work). How can I fix this problem?

Do you have Windows installed or are you trying to download and install Windows Apps thru OS X?
If it's the latter,it won't work.
Please be more specific with your problem and we may be able to help you further.

Please help! Having trouble finding records when searchign two tables.

Hi, I've been trying to solve this problem for several weeks now, and I have exhausted all of my knowledge and experience. I need help, and I hope someone here can give me some direction.
I am using VB 2008, and the CR that comes bundled with VS 2008 Pro. My database is a SQL Server 2005 CE v3.5 (a *.sdf file). I am connecting to the database through a dataset, and I am displaying the report in a CrystalReportViewer.
My dataset consistes of two tables:
1) tblCustomers which has a primary key "CustID", and contains only customer contact and personal information.
2) tblDateVisited which has a primary key of "VisitID", but it also has a column titled "CustID". Basically, every time a customer visits the business, details of that visit are recorded in tblDateVisited, and that record is associated with the customer by their CustID.
Here's what I'm trying to accomplish: I want to be able to display only Customer records when the customer has visited and that visit matches certain criteria. Right now, I am trying to match visits from the "tblVisitDate.PlayerType" column. If the customer has ever had a visit where they matched a particular player type, I want to see those customer records.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, though. I can search a dataset if I am only querying one table and pulling records from that table. However, whenever I try to add a second table and perform queries on that table to get records from the first table, I can't return any records.
If it helps, I am trying to use one CrystalReportViewer to display multiple reports (user choice) and here's how I'm loading the report into the viewer:

Me.tblDateVisitedTableAdapter.Fill(Me.dsPlayerTypeReports.tblDateVisited)

I am suspicious that my problem is in the Tables(1) method. It confuses me that I can only assign one table as a datasource when I obviously need access to two tables to make this selection work.
Whatever the case, I'm at the end of my rope with this one. I'm not prone to giving up, but I'm at a dead end currently.
Any attempt to assist me with this will be greatly appreciated, successful or not.

I finally figured this out (or at least a way of doing it that seems to work!
In VS create a new, empty datasource with no database objects in it. You'll get a message saying asking if that's what you really want to do.
Add a TableAdapter to the datasource using the 2-table SQL statement with a join but no WHERE clause, in my case:
"SELECT tblMedia., tblTitles. FROM tblMedia LEFT JOIN tblTitles ON tblMedia.ODGMediaID = tblTitles.ODGMediaID "
Make sure Fill a DataTable and Return a DataTable are checked.
Rename the TableAdapter and DataTable to something sensible.
Design the report using the new Dataset.
To display the report in VB with user generated WHERE clause:
strWhere = "WHERE ID=..." etc
strSQL = "SELECT tblMedia., tblTitles. FROM tblMedia LEFT JOIN tblTitles " & _
"ON tblMedia.ODGMediaID = tblTitles.ODGMediaID " & strWhere

hello... i have my library set up on my YamiPod program. but the problem is.... how do i get it into iTunes? I already have everything selected... what next?
by the way, i have already looked at the YamiPod docs... no help there!!!!!!

Firstly Yamipod and iTunes are not very compatible, Yamipod will probably not detect your iPod if iTunes is running in the background. You will have to overcome this through Task Manager before beginning. If you are not comfortable with doing this don't.
To answer your question, if the songs you refer to are on your iPod you will need to CTRL A in Yamipods main window with the iPod connected to select all tracks, then right click and select "Copy To". Next a dialogue will open asking where you want to copy the tracks to (e.g. My Music) make your choice and click copy. Its best to create a new folder for this purpose as if you use an existing folder you may get duplicate tracks.
Once all the files have transferred restart iTunes and click "File" then "Add Folder To Library" and select the folder to which you copied the songs. iTunes will now add the folders to its library on the PC.

Please help. Having Trouble using OracleResultSet

I am trying to manipulate a CLOB column. Oracle's example java code to get the data from the table using JDBC uses the oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleResultSet class. When I try to cast the ResultSet into a OracleResultSet I get the several compilation messages like this one:
The method oracle.jdbc2.Blob getBlob(int) declared in class oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleResultSet cannot override the method of the same signature declared in interface java.sql.ResultSet. They must have the same return type.
I am using the oracle_jdbc_8_1_6.zip driver.
Any suggestions??

I found the solution in another post. Switching to classes12_01.zip fixed the problem.

Safari NOT LOADING ANY WEBPAGES...PLEASE HELP!!

I’ve been having a huge problem with my safari browser ever since I got it installed onto my windows XP OS. On starting up the application, safari JUST WON’T LOAD ANY WEBPAGES. I’ve only managed to get it to load pages a few times after much struggle and this usually succeeds immediately after restarting the computer. And the other weird thing is, once fired up, it won’t fail to load any web pages until you close the browser. The other fault is that the browser keeps crushing once you mingle around with its buttons in attempt to get it to load the webpages.
I have tried to google whether people have had similar problems with the browser but none fits into my problem. I would love for anyone to offer me any guidance on what to do next after all the below attempts to fix the problem failed;-
-Re-installing Safari several times.
-The same problem occurs on my Windows Vista Notebook.
-can’t seem to find a facility to change the port number.
PLEASE HELP!

In Vista, Safari personal prefs and such are stored in the hidden user folder "AppData" in subfolders Local and Roaming, under "Apple" folders.
Clean out (move or something) and let Safari start fresh, which should solve the issue.
Not sure where XP stores files.

Ipod mini cannot be synced-Please Help

I can not sync music to my ipod from itunes because it keeps saying "The ipod cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found." I have already tried reinstalling my USB drive and it is still not working. The ipod shows up in itunes and then on my computer briefly then it disappears. PLEASE HELP

I am having the same problem and I don't know what to do about it! I have 916 songs on my computer but only 136 are transferring on to my ipod. I just started using a new computer and I tried synching it today for the first time and that's what happened. So, whenever I try to plug in my IPod I get nothing, I get the sounds of it being synced, but I open ITunes and I have nothing. IPod Touch will not connect to iTunes, please help..

I purchased an iPod Touch yesterday. I synced it up to iTunes, everything fine. After disconnecting and then reconnecting later I found that the computer didn't recongize it and it did nothing but charge the iPod. I've tried many times, all to either have it do nothing, crash iTunes, or give me the message "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because of an unknown error (0xE8000001)". I've tried reinstalling iTunes, the whole Apple Device Service, the USB problems.. everything. I have USB 2.0, Version 1.1.2 of the iPod, and iTunes version 7.5. Please, please try and answer my problem.
I've also restored using a friends computer, it works fine the first sync after I restore on his comp, but after that it does what I described above.

I was having the same problem but what I made was:
Conect iPod Touch into a USB port but from the back of the PC
Then *shut dawn* the iPod no lock *shut dawn*
then reinstall iTunes (it has to be iTunes 7.5 o later)
open iTunes
turn on iPod Touch
and it most work
o restart your PC and try again

I'm having this same problem. I've got 21.36G audio, 8.73 photos, 11.64 apps, 2.12 other, and negligable books and video. With all of this, I have 13.27 gigs free, and the sync error says I need about 8 gigs more. I've got an iPhone 4S running the latest iOS 6. Also, I've been using checked items to manage what gets downloaded to the iPhone, and I noticed that the checked items add up to much, much more than is on the iPhone, even though I've downloaded within the last few weeks and have songs from a few weeks ago on the iPhone. Even so, there are about a hundred fewer songs on the iPhone than are checked in iTunes.

SERIOUS BLACKOUT ISSUES PLEASE HELP

my Powerbook G4 is a wonderful machine. i love it dearly. but after upgrading to tiger 10.4.3 my system crashed. i re-installed Tiger 10.4.2 to be safe and have been having strange blackout occurences that happen randomly when i'm typing or surfing or just playing on my computer. the screen goes to sleep mid action, i wake it up, it sleeps again and by the 3rd time completely blacksout. i've also noticed that i don't hear my fan going anymore. could this be an overheating issue? how much does it cost to replace a fan? please help

I am having a similar problem that started after upgrading 10.4.3 as well. it started with my comuter randomly going to sleep, then it began getting stuck in a mode where it would alternate between sleeping and waking, now the screen just goes black (after a brief glimmer of blue) when I start it up. Sometimes i can see a dim out line of the log in screen. I took it to the apple store and they said to try resetting the power control unit. This worked for a while, but now it does nothing at all.
Interestingly, I can run from an external monitor with no problems, but this defeats the point of a laptop! The other thing i noticed is that the computer is much more sensitive to vibrations--if i bump my desk it will go to sleep. I tried the suggestions on a previous post-- that this was a track pad issue but installing Sidetrack did not improve the problem.
Is this a bad logic board?

I am having the same problem, and my computer is authorized through my Adobe ID and I cannot open any books. I tried downloading a book from the university library, using my ID, the book is in ACSM format, and I cannot open the book because it keeps telling me
