PLEASE HELP! STP changes not updated in FCP

I've watched tutorials for STP and I can't get a simple process to work.
I have original footage in FCP opened and I am working on resyncing VO over audio in STP.
In FCP, I select all and "send to Soundtrack PRO Multitrack"
The project opens in STP, but when I make changes, deleting original source audio tracks and replace them...SAVE the progress but I go back to FCP to see my work updated, as it does in Motion when you send it out, BUT NOTHING IS UPDATED or changed in FCP!!
What am i not doing, or doing wrong???? I refuse to do any further tedious syncing if my work won't ultimatley be updated in FCP to finalize the project.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.

it's a stop motion project, so the compressor was set to photo-jpeg, field dominance to none, video processing to "render in rgb". the timeline also contained livetype dynamic fonts and textures on top of the pictures. in the middle of my work i spotted a few artifacts and eventually managed to get rid of them by setting field dominance to lower field. in a few moments, i noticed the livetype textures had gone invisible.

Changes in SP2 Multi track editor DO NOT update in FCP timeline even if I do a "save as" all my changes and effects remain in SP2 and won't transfer over to FCP. The best I can get is full mixes of each Channel of audio. Am I right in believing That multi track is dynamically linked too?
Can you tell me how to do it please?

Hi Rob,
If i've understood you correctly, though you can conform tracks in STP2 of any changes in FCP6, any updates in FCP6 will not automatically update in STP2. You will need to EXPORT your final master mix from the multi-track editor with choosing 'update to final cut pro sequence' in the 'after export' drop down tab.
When you open FCP6 it'll ask you to update and once said yes, all tracks in FCP6 will be muted and a new two track master mix will be placed under the video base layer for a final conform.

The iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like app, music and videos. Thus, you wll have to resync those back to your iPod.
If necessary you can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Not true. The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You really should transfer everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your computer. Since you do not have access to the old computer, then use your backup copy of the old computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you would have to transfer itunes purchased as described earlier. Any other itunes content would be lost.
You can e-mail photo library pics to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Before syncing, enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data.

That would tend to indicate a permissions issues on the computer.
Running an outdated version of iTunes is of absolutely no benefit.
All iDevices work with the current version of iTunes.

I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store because of the shock issue. I doubt it was caused by the update.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Fixed. /Users/x/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/AirKeysInputManager.bundle got corrupted by a badly installed safari extension. Deleting this, then reinstalling adobe air did the trick. I wasn't thorough enough on my first try, it was tricky to find everything associated. I had to look for files in the console log then search for them. Spotlight was missing some deep files, EasyFind worked better for me.

If that is the case, I'd try this.
1. With System Prefernces closed, locate the file;
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
and trash it.
Restart your Mac.
