Please help - synthesist making videos

I have a Sony DCR-DVD403 camcorder connected to my G4 iMac via a Canopus ADVC-100 firewire converter box. Using iMovie, I've been recording videos of myself playing keyboards "live" in my home electronic music studio and sharing them on YouTube.
The problem is that I only seem to be able to record the audio into my movies using the camcorder microphone, and it doesn't have a line input. As a result, the audio is relatively poor. However, the output of all of my synthesizers is being routed into my iMac via a USB audio interface box (which I use with Digital Performer, to do multi-track audio recording).
What I'd really like to do is to make videos of myself playing the keyboards, but record the audio via the USB audio interface and NOT through the camcorder microphone.
Does anyone know if this is possible to do using Final Cut Express? I sure can't figure out how to do it with iMovie.

The ADVC100 has analog stereo inputs. You could run your synths into the ADVC100 (they are line level) and that way you could capture both video and sound into iMovie simultaneously (this would also work with FCE). You would only have 1 stereo pair, not multitrack, but the sound would be sync'd with the video. Obviously you wouldn't connect the camera's audio out to the ADVC in this case.
