I am not able to read the text in a .pdf file because parts of it will show dark highlight on some of the text. Can anyone please help me?

Are you using Keynote on an iPad?
If so you posted in the wrong forum, this is the Keynote Mac discussion and it is a different application. I dont know how the iPad works at all, so I cant help you, post in the Keynote iOS discussion.
If you are using a Mac, the colours palette is accesed by clicking on the colour well (arrowed) and then selecting a colour chip or changing the color in the colour wheel.

Help - text boxes/highlighting hidden unless selected in Acrobat Pro 9.2

I am working Acrobat Pro 9.2. When I insert a text box, it disappears when I click somewhere else. I can only tell it's there If I hover over it - I get a black mouse arrow. If I click on it and select it, then I can see the text and border, but if I click anywhere else, it disappears. I've tried all the options and settings I can find. It is set to show, not hide, all comments and text boxes. Also, when I try to highlight regular text, it puts a little yellow, symbol above my text but does not highlight the text. When I roll the mouse over it, a yellow note pops up with the text I highlighted, but when I move the mouse away, nothing is highlighted. Again, I've tried changing all of the settings I can find related to highlighting but nothing works. I use Acrobat on other computers and have used both text boxes and highlighting without any problem. Is this due to a setting somewhere, or is there something wrong with my installation of Adobe? Something to check.
To have text selected by the Highlight tool placed into the annotation's pop-up:
Preferences > select Category "Commenting"
There are three panes of configuration options.
--| View Comments
--| Pop-Up Open Behavior
--| Making Comments
Tick the last option (Copy selected text into Highlight, Cross-Out, and Underline comment pop-ups) in the third pane.
Play with the other options as you may find others that are very useful.
For form fields:
Preferences > select Category "Forms"
In the first pane (General), select "Show focus rectangle".
In the second pane (Highlight Color) select "Show border hover color for fields".

Please help. Photoshop isn't displaying colors correctly after new monitor/calibration

When I open JPEGS or RAW images in photoshop they have a dull, flat color to them. This is happening after recently buying a NEW PA271W wide-gamut display and calibrating it using Spectraview 2. It doesn't matter whether I have the Working Space in PS set to Adobe RGB or sRGB under color settings... The only way I can make my image look normal is to go under settings and ASSIGN PROFILE to Adobe RGB. It looks fine then. I could live with that, except the bigger problem is that I begin my editing process in RAW, where the colors are also looking flat. The best I can tell, there is no way to assign a profile at this stage... and I don't even know if that would help.
I've been working in photoshop many years and I do know that RAW images have a 'flatter' appearance to being with, but this is something completely different. For example, when I slide photoshop onto my other monitor next to it (I have multiple monitors) - the color reverts to the normal color I want . And if I then slide photoshop back onto my new NEC monitor, the normal color actually stays intact for about two seconds, then reverts back to the dull color. So I am unable to begin my work process in RAW since the colors are wrong. Also, I know that my new monitor is capbable of displaying my images in their proper colors because when I use any of several different image viewers I have - irfanview, etc. - everything is fine. What you're describing sounds like your display profile is incorrect.
Don't mess with the working space, don't assign profiles -- just fix the display profile.

Sign in to your Adobe account online and look in the Plans/Products sections to see which program it might have been.

Do you know when this problem (for not being able to add new highlight/strikeout/underline) has started? Did you update your iOS from 7.x to 8.0 recently?

3. There is no response upon clicking buttons, which prompted me to search for quite a long time in an attempt to find some "help," in case I was somehow performing the action incorrectly. [The Reader "Help" is in name only on this subject, but I can now see why...].
1. [eureka] When I read your question #1 and began considering the possibility of corruption or something (the ever-lurking gremlins?) I realized that I was working with a PDF from a scan, and that that was probably the issue. I immediately opened one saved from a website and it worked perfectly and as expected. I opened a different scan-to-PDF and got the same original trouble.
I'm glad one can still draw circles and attach sticky notes....

Can't Highlight ANY text, please help.

I can't highlight any text in any application. I can't drag my mouse to highlight, and when I press Ctrl+A it only highlights pictures and links on a web page.
Please help, I need to be ably to copy text for my work and I can't even select it.

I would begin by starting up in Safe Mode, log in, and see if it works any better in terms of highlighting.
If not, then try Repair Disk
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report if it says anything but Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need to use a utility like Tech Tool Pro or Disk Warrior

IPhone 4 GOES DARK RANDOMLY FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON PLEASE HELP

I'm gonna try this. Because I'm super frustrated. Something scary is happening to my device, I got an unlocked iPhone 4 from the Beverly Center in Los Angeles 3 weeks ago. I'm now on a long business trip in Moscow Russia and all of a sudden my screen statics, a sound of plug being pulled resonates from my iPhone there is some colored lines that slowly engulf the screen and then it goes dim, dark background on the screen but there is a slight light making it all look like the phone didn't shut off, it just bugged out and is now (I guess) just dark. This all happens in a matter of a second.
Then I hold the master restart and get it back working, sometimes after a few tries, because sometimes five master resets still don't bring it back to life, the white Apple over the dark background appears but then the phone is off again without ever coming back on.
Sometimes it happens when I browse FB or I'm on Linkedin, but first it started happening after taking a picture with the Camera (After like using the Camera for almost 3 weeks prior). Every time I took a picture this happened. Then it moved to other programs, like I would turn on the music and same thing would happen, just goes dark-dim. Now its mainly happening while using applications, mainly FB, the ABBYY Card Reader (Camera) and even Virtuoso Piano. Also sometimes when I charge the phone through a plug it always does that the second I plug the cable into the phone. Same thing if I use the USB and connect it to my MacBook Pro (2008) it gives me a box saying "Couldnt connect to the IPhone 4. An involid response was recieved from the device" or something like that. After 5-10 tries it plug in and the iTunes syncs it and it works fine. I mean *** is going on, I couldnt buy and factory unlocked iPhone from the US for 6 months, and when I finally was back in the US and had the chance to do it, this CRAP happens I FEEL FRUSTRATED AND DEPRESSED ISNT THE IPHONE 4 SUPPOSE TO BE the toughest and most reliable phone ever to hit the planet? Why is this crap happening to me while I'm away?
PLUS THEIR SALES REP AT BEVERLY CENTER SHAWN MCDANIEL LIED TO ME by TELLING ME THAT THE APPLECARE+ (Which I purchased for an extra 100) will take care of even 2 trade in if (PRECICELY CRAP LIKE THIS) something happens to it. THATS PRETTY MUCH WHAT HE SAID, and then when I told him that I'll be in Moscow, OH SURE THEY HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE AND APPLECARE+ IS WORLDWIDE.
So then I call Apple Care, both the specialist and the supervisor sound like kids who were given a superjob. They don't sound like intelligent techy people and soon I understand why. Long story short, I got no clarify wether there is an official Russian Apple representative or not, I wasn't offered mail-in repair, I was only told that looks like the nearest Apple store to me is in Poland or London so I should have someone fly there (that means I won't be with my contact book for at least a week or two) or go there myself (thx I just got an $800 phone and I should get another 300-500 EURO ticket to London just to make the iPhone purchase complete) ***.
(For those who enjoyed reading so far read below, if this information is enough for you to help clue me in I'd appreciate it, if you want to read more interesting stuff read below).
Wait I can't make the story short I have to tell you - so the first lady sounds like a 16 year blond from the heart of Hollywood, and she tells me to do a backup, doesnt tell me how I should transfer my contacts that I had transferred into my phone from my old Samsung galaxy, xfer them into my MacBook at which they've never been. We did a full restore after saving a backup (hoping that my contacts would stay in tact) , then we found out the restore didnt fix it, as I went and took a picture this thing happened. Then I said the heck with it I need my old backup with the apps and my contacts, so I initiated that backup and then the contacts didnt xfer in, and I was shocked, literally, 1500+ contacts destroyed by Apple. So then she passed me on to her supervisor who was the one who didnt tell me anything substantial except simple troubleshooting procedures. He told me to go into a Russian iPhone Reseller and it will be at their full discretion wether they would exchange my phone for a new one or not comply to AppleCare since apperantly it doesnt work with them and nearest apple stores are in London or Poland. So whatever, I then afrer finishing my exactly (Skype call)
11/5/11 4:52 AM Call Ended 3 hours 12 minutes 39 seconds, I, saddened, saw that in my iTunes backups I have two more backs from an earlier time, so I backed up to one of those and it xfer everything the contacts and apps! It was just enough time for me to download ExcelContact and e-mail my contacts to my gmail before this thing started happening again. My phone works now, but this thing happens now every few hours randomly and I'm outraged.
Please if anyone experienced such a problem and could help me fix this, please help me.

P.S. I used the phone fine with ATT for a week in US when I bought it, then I used it fine for 2 more weeks here in Moscow with MTS GSM. I dunno wether my phone is CDMA or GSM? =.="

Thanks for the the information Tyler. I'm still in awe, I heard that if an LCD is over heating or the phone is over heating, there would be a warning message telling me that the device is over heating, not sure how true is this?
Nah I never dropped it yet, its too fresh and precious to me but the funny thing is no matter what care I took since the three weeks that I've had it, it still developed this problem.

I published my site several weeks ago with no problems at all. Now, suddenly, text (rendered as images) throughout the site is being cut-off, sometimes to the point of invisibility.

I have tried almost everything that I can think of including:
-increasing the size of text boxes to a generous size
-increasing/decreasing the size of the font
-moving the text boxes up and down slightly in an attempt to fully reveal the text
-deleting and remaking text boxes
I have been reviewing this forum for days looking for help with this problem. I am at a loss of what more I can do. PLEASE help.

I noticed there are also diamond symbols with ? in them which are showing up too. Are you creating your text links within iweb and then using the inspector to link them to other pages? I have seen this type of problem when putting in forms, but never with text links. One way around this might be to link the text box instead of the text to other pages. for example, when you highlight the text and go to the inspector then enable as a link simply do the same but dont highlight the text just select the text box. Try it on a few and republish, its worth a try. You also might want to try this first, do a publish all rather than just publish. To do this go to file and select publish all to .mac. Sometimes this is an easy fix to weird problems. Your site looks nice and I hope you can get it up and running. Good luck.

After I got a 27" screen, I had problems with the interface text being too small as well. That can be fixed with Mozilla applications if you set up a userChrome.css file in the profile inside a subdirectory called chrome. The code I used:

I have snow leopard and just bought a new HP officejet 7500 wide format wireless all-in-one. The problem is when I Print from my boyfriend's PC, the pictures are fine but when I print from my imac, the image I see on the monitor isn't what is printed. The colors are off and the picture is way too dark. I've looked on the internet to try to find a solution but haven't really found one. Please help.

In the texts 3D dialogue box you need to switch some sort of shading on, either plastic of difuse, or you could put a very small dark stroke around the outside of your text. It's probably the shading though, it's the surface drop down box at the very bottom (or if you have advanced on it's in the middle).

Text Box Dashed. Can't edit text. Please Help!

I made a catalog a couple months ago and when I opened it up to work on it again all my text boxes have a dashed outline when selected. I can select the box, but when I switch to the text tool and click it is unselected and I can't edit the text. When I try to highlight the text the text tool just makes a new text box (with normal outline). I can add new text in new text boxes. All the catalog pages are different files and the problem is the same when opening any page which makes me feel like its some setting in the actual program rather then the files themselves. Nothing is locked as far as I can tell and overriding all master page items doesn't help either. Somebody please help. Thank you!

Sounds like your text frames are on the master page.
