Please help. two weird battery? icons...

Okay well recently I went to go plug in my ipod and I got this strange icon that looked like a battery with a lightning bolt and it was black..it didnt start updating my ipod or charing it so I got worried...I went to go do something and when I came back...everything was normal! Okay and the other day I was listening to my iPod and the battery went dead and said that I needed to charge it...that I did...so now yesterday i was listening to it and it wasnt dead yet and i thought that i would listen to it until the battery died but instead it just stopped (before the battery was fully gone I believe) and I got this weird battery icon with a WARNING! sign...can someone please tell me what those icons mean? and also...how long is the ipod suposed to take to charge and die out? I have the 30g new ipod. thanks again!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

I have no real idea at this problem, The fact that it turns on is good but the fact of it getting hot isnt, I cant tell by the orignal post if you mean really hot or not, I would try the 5R's on this one.

Please help : two events on one button

I've tried various ways to combine the two events, but it just doesn't seem to work. I'm only used to one simple action at a time(!) and this is needed urgently.

You can just call two different functions by adding two listeners:
btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, goOut);
btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, buttonClickHandler);
If you want to combine them though, you do have one error - the goOut function needs to accept a MouseEvent, not a regular Event:

Also, you shouldn't need the root when grabbing the FlashVar:

You should put a trace in there to make sure it's working as expected.
And you didn't really say what isn't working. Do you get any errors?

PLEASE HELP! A sad icon is displayed but no matter what I do nothing works!

So when I reset my iPod, the Apple logo comes up. After about 10 seconds the sad face icon comes up. I tried plugging it into the computer, re-installing all the softwares, and I've read through sooo many documents. But the same thing happens all the time! The Apple logo comes up and then the sad face icon appears even when it's connected to my computer. When I connect my iPod to the computer, it does not appear in My Computer.

The plug icon will show as long as the device is connected to a power source. Yes, 100% = complete, at least where I was taught math. Your fears about destroying the battery are unfounded. You can leave the device plugged in even after it's fully charged. It will stop charging.

URGENT Please help with weird behavior of test suite

I have a composite involving three operations of two different services. The weird behavior comes by the time on which I run the test suite on the EM, if I try to emulate two different operation response from one service, by the time that the flow, tries to emulate the second one, I always receive this error:

Return the iPhone personally or via friend/relative/co-worker who is in
the US. The warranty is valid only in the country of original purchase - the USA
in this case. Apple will not accept international shipments for evaluation nor
will Apple ship out of the country after repair/replacement.
How did the iPhone from the US get to you in India? Reverse that process to
get it back to the US so someone can take it into Apple.

Please Help! My battery won't charge. Not sure if this is my battery or the charger causing the problem.

I recently came down to Costa Rica to do some work abroad and last week my battery display showed it wouldn't charge higher than 15%. I've kept the charger plugged in to avoid a total shut down and everytime I do unplug I lose power. I'm not sure if this is my battery or the charger that is faulty. I'm now at 8% power and freaking out as I have work to do and I'm nowhere near an apple store or certified repair shop. I can keep my charger plugged in but must find a solution. A new charger or battery can possibly be brought to me from San Jose but I must know asap to request the product.

Some Details on my computer...

Hi Riyanna. Do you have the mag safe power cord with you and will it turn on with it? With it plugged in you should be able to go to the top right screen menu and click on battery. It should say power source power adapter. It maybe grayed out , but that is ok. That means your power adapter is working. Then it will not hurt to run the SMC reset or pram reset. The other thing is if you are using an Aplle power supply there will be a green light showing on it.

For the past couple of months I've been having some problems with my battery.
When the battery is fully charged and I unplug the power adapter and just go on battery power, the powerbook will stay on for about 15 minutes then just shuts off by itself with no warning. I've done everything from resetting the pram and SMC/PMU and still no fix. I even had the battery update installed. Still no luck.
When it powered off byitself I turned the laptop over and pressed the button on the battery and 4 out of the five green lights light up. I try to boot up the computer without the power adapter and it attempts to boot up and about 5 seconds after, it just powers off. Here are the specs to my Battery Info

If you bought your Mac new, it should have come with a little manual and some system discs. If you didn't get the manual, you should be able to download a copy at Apple's Support site.
Apple really tries to provide a lot of help in the form of tutorials, videos, and workshops at Apple Stores. They also have this huge library of knowledge base articles, but no index to them, so it can be hard and very frustrating to access the information you want. You're supposed to search, but I have often found it hard to find anything using Apple's search engine.
Mac Help ("Help" in the menu bar) is set up to help you with stuff. For example, if you search "Batteries", you'll find help topics and support articles. Sometimes the search is hard to use if you don't know the exact right terminology, but Mac Help can help you with a lot of issues.
Having dial up, I haven't watched the video tutorials on the support site, but I know there are some. You might want to spend a little time and see if some of these can fill in the blanks. I think there are tutorials both for complete newbies and for people switching from Windows.
Being fairly new to all this myself, I can sympathize with the enormous learning curve that you have to go through. It took me a long time to discover the help and resources that had been there all along. Hopefully as you learn what is there and how to access it, you won't feel so frustrated.

Please help: Two-Sided One-to-One Mapping issues warning when owned instance does not exist

Is it expected behavior? I have two classes A and B, B references A and its
foreign key column is its PK
A owns B (marked as inverse-owner in JDO metadata) when I access A.getB() if
B does not exist I get a warning.
Is it to be expected? Does two sided relation always require presence of
both sides of the relation and does nto fit my need?
Is there any way to have bi-directional association in my case with owned
record being optional?
Should I use two simple one sided one-to-one or may be simple one sided from
child to owner and One-to-One with Inverse Columns from owner to child
What are disadvantages of using two one sided (simple and inverse) vs.
two-sided?

Here is what I had to do to solve this issue:
Basically I had to add the MSSQL TCP/IP port as an end-point in Azure. After I did that, then I was able to create the data-source. However, I was only able to authenticate with a SQL account, as any domain account would return me an error saying that the
domain isn't trusted.
What puzzles me here is how come the Data Source Manager would inform me that an account username/password was invalid, but it would fail/timeout if I provided valid credentials (!?!?!!?)

I found a site that sells the same battery A1175 for very cheap. Almost half the price from Apple store.
Now if i were to go and buy a battery at the apple store, my question is are the batteries different in anyway? battery life etc? or are they the same battery?

PLEASE HELP! Weird Issue after Restore

I had to do a restore on my iPhone. I'm in India right now and everything seems to be working fine, but I keep getting an error message at startup that says
"Waiting for AT&T activation
This may take some time."
It gives the option to dismiss, but why is this message even showing up? My phone number shows up properly in iTunes and the phone recognizes that I'm activated properly. I don't get it.
Is this going to show up every time I start the iPhone?

Did you do the restore here in US or in India? That SIM card is looking for at&t service and since it is not available there it gets stuck in that endless loop. Try to put it in airplane mode and see what it tells you. All I can say is just cancel it and sync as you would normally do. Watch out for a huge bill IF you are making calls. Hope you realize that and don't be surprised when the bill arrives.Read up on some of the stories other users here have posted on that issue.

IPod mini is very sick, please help

Problem: When my mini is fully charged (8 hrs) and updated, I can listen to about one or two songs (all songs are playable at this point). After a song or two, the battery icon drains completely and the screen says "low battery". The iPod then turns off by itself. This happens every single time, no matter how "charged" the ipod is. When I press the middle button to turn it back on the battery icon in the upper corner is empty, and about half of my songs (albums) will play. The iPod will get to an album that it won't play and skip through every song on the album (even albums purchased from iTunes). When I can find an album that my mini will play, the battery slowly creeps up to about a third full, and I get about an hour or two of playing time before the battery is drained. I find this weird b/c my mini does not discriminate against certain songs, but ENTIRE albums (purchased from iTunes and imported CDs, doesn't matter). Meaning, if my mini plays one song on an album, every song on that album is playable. If it can't play one song on an album, no songs on that album will play. It doesn't matter if I'm playing it in shuffle mode, through all songs, by artist, or by album. When it gets to a song from an album it won't play, it just skips over the song. Is this a battery issue or a hard drive issue? Anybody know quick fixes or how much it would cost to repair? -thanks

As much as the new battery would help, if you open your iPod casing, then you'll void the warranty on your iPod, making it nearly impossible to get it fixed if you break something inside it, or if the battery isn't the problem.
Oh, and no, the iPod battery won't shorten life if you turn it on and off by the play button. That's an energy conservation tool so you don't need to waste battery waiting for your iPod to turn off by auto-sleep.
I reccomend that you simply take the iPod into Apple. It easier, and you won't void your warranty.

i have app updates but cannot get into my app world until i reboot the device.
it told me to hold down the power key but all that does is turn the fone off.

For either, you actually probably do have some message or alert for a new message or an app upgrade.
Tips for clearing that unread message... try them in order.
If you have a rogue New Message icon on your Homescreen, or a negative count (-1), any one of these solutions could clear it, or reset it to zero:
Try these options:
* Open your main Messages folder and highlight today's date, click the menu key and select Mark Prior Opened.
* Hard Reset the BlackBerry by holding ALT, CAP (right Shift key), and DEL (or with the BlackBerry powered ON, remove the battery and reinserting the battery)
* View Messages > Saved Messages
* View Messages > View Folders, check each folder (missed calls, SMS in and out boxes, MMS in and out boxes, Saved, browser, phone logs etc)
* Scroll to top of message folder, over the date heading, click or press menu to MARK PRIOR OPEN
* Change your theme and see if it persists, and change back to your desired theme. (Options > Theme > select.)
* Connect to Desktop Manager > Backup/Restore > Advanced. On the right-hand pane is the list of data on your device. Scroll to the email messages database and highlight it, then below, select CLEAR. This will clear your device of all messages.
* Wipe and reload your OS.

The weird thing is that after I click shuffle when the random number appears, I click it to turn it off and then I click it on again and it works fine. Is this a glitch or a bug or am I doing something wrong? How do I fix this?
