Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

It sounds like you are unable to finish restoring with iTunes due to this error -1 message. Usually that is associated with security software. Use the steps from the following article to help with that:

Related errors: 1, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.

Check that your security software and settings aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server.

SO HERE IT IS.
I ALREADY READ MANY STEPS, MANY TIPS ON HOW TO FIX MY PROBLEM IN MY WINDOWS. BUT I REALLY CAN'T FIX IT. I'm not professional in terms of Computer System. But I really want to upgrade my Operating System to Windows 8.1.
I really can't do it.
The window store says that I need to upgrade the pending updates for my applications but when I click install all.
It's just pending. There's nothing happening. There's nothing installed.
So I go to control panel then search the windows update.
There I click the Install Updates. I waited for 4 hours. But there's really nothing happening so I cancelled it.
Then here is what happened after that.
IT SAYS THAT code:80070003 windows update run into a problem then I clicked the "Get help with this error"
Then I run the troubleshooting
And then after that.
the troubleshooting has completed this is what it said.

Problems Installing recent updates
So that's is.

Thanks, but, using the "free" version of Reader, there is no opportunity to open nor import the xml data - the menu options do not exist - there is no import listed.
If we try to open the xml file directly, then we get an error - something to the effect of "unsupported file type, or the file is corrupted".
I just noticed in my Pro version that there is the command File ->Form Data ->Import Data to Form... command. Is this what you are referring to?
What do you recommend? Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to purchase a few copies of Acrobat Pro for the reservations people to use? I was hoping that the free version of reader would do it, but perhaps not?

This alert is often the result of iTunes being blocked by firewalls on the computer.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Try turning off your Firewall to see if the issue is resolved (this includes the built-in Firewall or a third-party Firewall such as Norton Personal Firewall, McAfee, Symantec, etc.). It's not a bad install of Mountain Lion. I've had the same thing happen to me, but it affected not only Mail, but a variety of other programs including iPhoto and MS Office, where I had to delete preferences, caches, and reinstall the OS as well as the program itself. I'm still having issues with Mail, so I've gone to another program.
Everything was fine upon the initial install. I restarted my iMac about two weeks after the install, and that's when the issues began to happen. I've reinstalled Mountain Lion twice, but the same issues arise.
As I mentioned above, you'll need to figure out which preferences are causing the issue, then reinstall the program, as a fresh reinstallation will do you no good unless you wipe the drive completely.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

People please help me out! I have a Razer Blade gaming laptop with Windows 8 64bit.
I have an iPhone 5, iPad 2 and an iPod video (80GB). I had some weeks from not connecting the iPod to my computer, but this morning that I did so I can upload some new music to it, iTunes just crash, I get the "iTunes has stopped working" error message when I connect the iPod video. I do not have this problem with either the iPhone 5 or the iPad 2, when I connect these, iTunes works fine, once I connect the iPod, then all goes down
Procedures that I already tried and that were unsuccessful to solve the problem:
Uninstall Quicktime
Uninstall iTunes and reinstall
Reset the iPod (several times)
Delete TEMP files on computer
Restart the computer (several times)
Use a different cable and a different USB port
The iPod is working fine, if I plug it to my car stereo or if I use it with headphones it works great, no problems nor errors. My computer also identify the iPod as a hard disk, no error messages from Windows, it is just the freakin' iTunes that freezes everytime that I plug the iPod
PLEASE HELP ME OUT, I've searched forums on this particular issue but with no luck.

It is only when I attempt to add a song to my iPod once plugged in that I receive the error "Itunes has stopped working" and forces me to exit the program, without the song being successfully transferred.
Do you have the "Convert to 128 kbps AAC" preference enabled for syncing to the iPod, laur?
If so, it's quite plausible that you've got the iTunes 10.1.0.54 bug and we need to get you updated to 10.0.1.56 as per the following document:

I tried updating all my Events and Projects from FCP 10.1.1 after using it for awhile (explanation below) and it won't recognize them. After studying online, I've put my Final Cut Events and FC Projects folders in my boot internal Movies drive and on the boot of one of my external drives, but still FCP X 10.1.1 won't recognize them - they are visible but greyed out.
I have been able to import media from those folders, but without the project files it would be back to the drawing board - no good.
When I first opened FCPX 10.1.1 I only updated 1 project - a full length doc I was working on, because I didn't want to clog the system while working,
(I had to get a Digital Cinema Print made quick on my system) and because after reading the Read Me First Notes and white papers, it made it clear that I could update my files manually later.
So far, no go. Please help. I'm of course - like everyone else - on a deadline, and I have at least 10 short films/projects that are in various stages of
edits that need to be completed.

UUpdating updates volumes. You don't have to select the project or event. They will always be grayed out. Simply select the hard drive you want to update.

A first generation iPad cannot be upgraded beyond iOS 5.1.1. That is the most up to date version of iOS possible for that device. As mentioned, plug it into iTunes and select update from iTunes. You cannot do an update over wifi as your version of iOS predates the introduction of over the air updates.

I had mega problems too. Try following the steps in my posting as below after creating a new user account on your computer with ADMIN priviledges also. See my posting on 20/06/2009 22:33 titled "Upgrade Error number 4 and Restore Error 1603 when going to OS 3.0 - Solved"
And turn off any antivirus and firewall software too, before doing so. In ITunes, highlight your iphone icon and then click the Restore Button on the ITunes Summary tab which seems to force the iphone into an update. Dont try using the Check for update button. Good Luck...........

I am taking a computer imaging class using photoshop. Since the class started two weeks ago, I have been using the trial version while waiting on my software purchase to arrive in the mail. Today I tried installing. I first uninstalled the trial version thinking that is what I am suppposed to do and believe I did so successfully. I'm not sure if that was even the right thing to do.
I then put in my new software and proceeded to install. The entire install completes and then states "done, with errors" at the end. Of course the program won't work so I have tried trouble shooting but have no clue what to do. I tried uninstalling and it won't. I tried running the install again and it still gives me the message "done with errors" at the end of installation. Please please help!

When you uninstall, make sure to use the CS4 Clean Utility thereafter. Sometimes remnants of trials get in the way. Also make sure you get rid of Adobe AIR and Acrobat.com. These are separate from the main install and need to be removed individually. Likewise, you may wish to check your Acrobat/ Adobe reader install and remove it, if necessary. Since it uses components shared with PS and those may in fact be newer than the ones on the Photoshop install DVD due to updates, the installer may not liek them. And of course with all things Vista: Run as admin on first program launch so the activation can proceed and all other options can kick in correctly.

Please help for ORA-02049 - Timeout error

we have got a reporting DB and 14+ Application DBs, the data is extracted from all the application databases (DBs) and dumped into the common tables of reporting database. While inserting and updating the common reporting tables the other jobs gets timeout error and fails. We daily face this failure problem (error: ORA-02049 - Timeout error distributed transaction waiting for lock) for almost 10-15 times.
Can you please help me out in resolving and getting the permanent solution for this problem.

as mentioned above, I have got Oracle,Java,Unix environment. Autosys jobs are scheduled through out the day.
Mechanism : Autosys job triggers the action at specified time, Unix code calls oracle packaged procedure, extracts data and puts into the common reporting table from this data java code formats the report output.
There are separate reporting jobs for all instances though the report is same but for different locations(14 DB instances).
and all these reporting jobs dump data into common reporting table, data can be differentiated on the hub or location.
But if one job is running for first instance then second job waits for the lock and fails after 2 mins.
I have to avoid this situation, I hold I am able to explain the situation.
