Please Help! Windows won't install IPod Driver!
My brother got a 2GB IPod nano and itunes and everything installs but when i plug in the IPod i get the install driver window. I click to intsall driver but it keeps saying it couldnt find anything to install (even when i have the disc the ipod came with inside). Its a Toshiba labtop. If anyone knows why the driver won't install or had the same problem please help! Thanks

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.

Please help - why won't my Ipod songs transfer into new Itunes?

Please note - currently my library is on my crappy HP. But I did read that you can transfer all songs from the Ipod alone (including those not purchased from Itunes).

mac book Mac OS X (10.4.8)I use an application called Senuti. That transfers all content from your iPod to your Mac, including non purchased content. It's free and easy to use. With your iPod connected to your Mac, launch Senuti and the rest is pretty simple. I would suggest you create a folder on your desktop and set your destination to that folder in the Senuti preferences. Also, it's a good idea to keep everything organized by checking the artist and album boxes in the preferences as well. Like I said, it's pretty easy. Good luck.

Your help please! I need to upgrade from Mac OS X 10.4.10 to 11 but my installer just flashes up on the dock and then nothing happens. If I try to do a software update from the 'about this mac' window I just get a spinning wheel of death for hours on end and nothing happens... Can anybody help please? It is driving me up the pole!

Please help! can't install ipod
hello there, my ipod doesn't show up on my computer or itunes. it does show up on computer management but only as a unrecognised device. when i try to install it, it shows me a message saying " the hadware could not be installed because it doesn't have the necessary software". i ve tried al the things said on the support site but nothing works.
help please!I had this same problem....We were running fine then all of a sudden the message about the files.....I called apple and paid the fee for service...all I had to do was go to the apple site, click on Ipod and in the middle of the page is the free download for itunes...somehow this was removed from my computer....I downloaded and everything is fine, all music purchased was saved.

I've installed windows 7 with the help of bootcamp on my macbook pro 2011.
Please help me how to install mac drivers for windows7 64 bit???You either download drivers from within Boot Camp Assistant and save to USB FAT disk, or you insert and use 10.6.x OS X DVD when in Windows and install and run the SETUP from there.

Step 4: Install the Boot Camp Drivers for Windows
After installing Windows, install Mac-specific drivers and other software for Windows using your Mac OS X installation disc. The Mac OS X disc installs drivers to support Mac components, including AirPort,built-in iSight camera, the Apple Remote, the trackpad on a portable Mac, and thefunction keys on an Apple keyboard.

4 After your computer restarts, follow the instructions in the Found New Hardware Wizard to update your software drivers (Windows XP only).
5 Follow the instructions for any other wizards that appear.
6 Check for updated Boot Camp drivers by using Apple Software Update or going to www.apple.com/support/bootcamp.
If You Have Problems Installing the Device Drivers
If it appears that the Boot Camp drivers weren’t successfully installed, try repairing them.
To repair Boot Camp drivers:
1 Start up your computer in Windows.
2 Insert your Mac OS X installation disc.

Recovery = Windows won't install from recovery discs
I have a dv6, performed recovery off the purchased 2 discs, and it says Windows won't install. Also, will not let me log into administrator...says my account has been disabled. Need help asap, on roomies pc.
I also tried using a HP Windows Recovery Disk from HP for my HP G71-340US Notebook Computer, but it repeatedly fails the installation with the message:
"No OS Flag Set on Unit. Please use EEPROM to set OS SKU value = 2. Error RStone S Update SRU option configuration is invalid, Loc # cound not be found in product #. Next step: Please use EEPROM to set Loc # in either SKU # or CTO localization code".
This occurs repeatedly when trying to run the Recovery Disk from HP.
I believe there is an EEPROM problem, but I do not know what to try next. I have backed up all my persoal data, but everything is wipped off the hard disk, currently. I can get into the BIOS, but that does not seem to be of any help. HP tech support is of no help.

If you are unable to get the iPod into Disk Mode to try and restore it, it's a very good indication, as mentioned in the article, that the iPod's hard drive is damaged and in need of replacement either by Apple or a third party repair company.

For the wifi problem:
Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect OK before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Can anyone please help me how to install it?The plugins folder in the Firefox installation folder doesn't exist by default. There is no default plugin in Firefox 4, so that folder would be empty and in thus not included. If you want to use that location then you need to create a plugins folder.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help

Vista won't install Ipod Mini - PLEASE HELP!!
Latest version of Itunes 7.4.2 has been installed, Windows Vista has located Ipod mini in "other devices" in "Device Manager", but it won't install the Ipod. I've reinstalled Itunes three times and searched the Windows Vista disk and various internet forums, but with no luck.
I'm on the verge of selling the ipod - any advice would be welcome.
