Please help with a macbook/iphone 5 problem
i have upgraded my phone to an iphone 5 and went to sync it and it says i need a new version of itunes and so i went to do that and it needs OS X 10.8 and so i go to update my macbook and that says i have no updates available but my macbook is only 10.5.8 so i rang apple and they said my macbook is too old, its only 5 years old im not happy with just giving up there surly there must be something i can do, u dont just chuck away a macbook after 5 years, please can someone help me?
You need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD.

Can someone PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! I am at my wits end with this. I have an Iphone 3GS with softare 3.1.3 . I am trying to back up my contacts/calendar/apps so I can download the newer software version 5 and so I can get a new Iphone 4S.
As I have window 7, when I sync my device. It chooses to sync Contacts to 'Windows Contacts' and Calendar to 'Outlook' and Bookmarks to 'Internet Explorer' and Notes to 'Outlook'
I do not use Outlook but have it on this laptop. However when I looked at it to find my iphone calendar and notes, they are not there.
Also I cannot locate my Contacts anywhere on my laptop
They are not in Users/(username)/ apps
as I dont have a folder under user name that is called Apps!
Any help would be much appreciated from anyone

Hi, every time I shut my laptop, and come back on I have to re-select my network option. If any of you know any way on how to fix this issue it would help so much! The last thing is that every time I try to go onto another website, It tells me safari cannot identify the website, and that the websites certficate has expired. Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
Notes:
1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself. Remember that you must clickApply in order for any changes to take effect.
2. I don't use Google DNS myself, though I have tested it, and I'm not recommending it or any other DNS provider; the server addresses are offered merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist. -
Please help with an Indesign Post Card Problem!
Greetings! I am in need of some help! I am trying to create a post card in InDesign and then send it to a printing company. I sent my finished product to the company and they stated that it would not work out well. The font is too small, pictures are too fuzzy, dimensions are off, etc... I am confused because after reading and researching how to create a 4x6 post card in Indesign, I am still doing something wrong. Please, please help! Thank you for your time.
They would like a 4"x6" PDF. I only need to create the design for the front of the post card, not the back.

Hi. I have created a dynamic PDF form with fields. I have 2 problems that i am sure someone can help me with. (I can email anyone this PDF upon request).
PROBLEM 1. In this form I have a table (actually i think its a sub form) which has 3 buttons associated with it ('Add Row', 'Delete Row' and (Clear Row'). One button adds a new row. It works but it effectively duplicates the row (and all text fields/cells contained in the row) and places this new row at the bottom of any existing rows. What i require is for this button (the button gets duplicated along with the row) to place the new row immediately below the row from where it is clicked. ie, imagine you open the document, fill out the row (at this stage there is only one) and hit the 'Add Row' button. You now have 2 Rows (great), so you fill out the second Row. Now here is my problem, if you hit the 'Add Row' button on the first Row, a new 3rd Row is added to the bottom and not in between Row 1 and Row 2.
Effectively if you have dozens of Rows filled out and you need to insert a Row for an amendment, currently it cannot be done without deleting all Rows up to the point where you want to make the addition/insertion.
PROBLEM 2. Within this Row of text/numeric fields are two fields (called 'Rate' and 'Loading') where dollar amounts are entered. As the form is filled out (the Rows can be dynamically generated and it's fields manually filled out by the user) there can potentially be dozens of Rows in a completed form and, as each Row has many text/numeric fields, one can imagine Columns forming once there is more than 1 Row. At the end of the form, totals are automatically calculated. I have created a button to reset (erase) all amounts entered into these two specific fields (Columns) but in every Row. Unfortunately there is something wrong with my script syntax as this button does not do this. ( i want this facility as when the form, which is a budget proposal, is completed i need to send two copies - one to accountants with figures and logistics and a second copy to another department whom i do not want to give the figures, so i need the button to erase figures without having to clear each cell individually).
Any help that someone can give would be much appreciated.

If you are having your e-mails duplicated and sent to multiple devices then you'll always have to read them on both places, this is because there is no way for the devices to know that the e-mails have been read on the other one.

Please help with my Boot Camp/Windows problems
I need to install windows on to my iMac to continue a course I’m taking at uni. Sadly it’s been a nightmare so far.
I backed up all of my data and opened Boot Camp Assistant and tired to partition a section of my hard drive for windows. However it gave me an error each time I tired. After asking around I was told to buy idefrag and that should fix the problem - it didn’t. I was then told to format the hard disk and reinstall OSX. I did that and Boot Camp was now happy to partition my hard drive.
I insert a copy of legitimate copy of Windows 7 Professional (x64) and clicked the Install Windows button when Boot Camp prompted me to.
Windows installation menus open after a quick restart but quickly tells me it cant see any partitions/drives to install on.
I googled the problem read that the partition should be formatted to NTFS for windows seven to install and that OSX wont do that. I installed a free program called NTFS-3G and that formatted the partition to NTFS.
Windows now saw the drive and went through the installation process. After it has gone through its automated routine it restarts the Mac and takes me to a "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..."
I press Enter and it takes me back to the very first installation menu and restarts the whole thing until it has once again gone through its automated routine and restarted the Mac and told me to press any key.
This happened ever time. During the install I am presented with the options of "Installing Windows" or "repairing windows". When I tried the automatic repair it told me it could find no fault.
So I started again by deleting the partition from within OSX and making a new one and installing windows and restarting but this time remove the windows 7 disk.
All this did was boot the Mac up in OSX. I then restarted the Mac and held down the options key. This presented me with the choice of booting from the Mac HDD or the windows partition. I chose the windows partition and it takes me to a black screen with a flashing line/prompt and does nothing else.
I assumed Windows 7 might not like my Mac for some strange reason so brought a copy of Vista business with SP2 (x86).
I deleting the partition from within OSX and made a new one. I began installing Vista. It told me it could only install on NTFS formatted partitions/drives.
Once again I used NTFS-3G to formatted the partition to NTFS and relaunced vista.
It installed fine and restarted itself. Once again it took me back to the first installation screen just as windows 7 did. I tried restarting without the disk (hold options again) and it took me back to the black screen with the flashing line and sat there forever.
I restarted the Mac with the OSX 10.6.1 install disk in the drive and it booted up ignoring the disk. I launched the disk from desk top and looked through the install options hoping to find some drivers or extra installs for boot camp/windows. I couldn’t see anything.
I don’t know what else to try.

But I have really only one question:
Was this an electronic school download edition? they offer students Windows 7 Pro. If this was an electronic version from school, fine, but it has to be burned at *reduced 2x speed* or it won't work, and can have various (and different for everyone) problems, BUT: it is pretty well known and semi "documented."
You do NOT need NTFS driver. That is totally wrong.
Sorry you bought Vista, I used it but once Windows 7 went Beta and then RC I've used 7 and never looked back (what Vista should/could have been but was not, even with SP2). -
I switched over from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy S3 & I haven't been able to receive any text messages from iPhones. I have no problem sending the text messages but I'm not receivng any from iPhones at all. It has been about a week now that I'm having this problem. I've already tried fixing it myself and I also went into the sprint store, they tried everything as well. My last option was to contact Apple directly. Please help with turning my iMessage completely off so that I can receive my texts.
If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

First, remove Comodo. You don't need it, and it sounds like it is causing a problem.
The other symptoms sound like you have adware installed. Comodo might have detected some components of that adware, or it might not have, but whatever the case, you should NEVER allow any anti-virus software to quarantine or delete files from your computer. See: How to remove infected files.

How can I sync my iPhone on a different computer without erasing my applications? My iPhone was earlier synced with a PC which I don't use anymore.

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card. -
