Please help with exporting as .GIF (CS5)
I made some movie symbols out of sprites (inserting a new frame for each key)
then dragged each of the symbols into the scene 1, and when I press ctrl+enter it looks how I want it to look, but if i try to publish it as gif, or export it as gif, it just shows the first frame and is really bad quality. My publish settings are all correct and I even tried to export it as a quicktime .mov then importing it to photoshop to save for web (gif) but even then it just showed the first frame.
Any ideas? I've been stressing about this for days.
again, putting movieclip symbols on the main timeline will display the first frame of the movieclip in your animated gif. you won't see the movieclip's other frames. ie, the movieclip won't appear to animate.
you may be able to place an animated graphic on the main timeline, publish your gif and you may see your graphic's animation. try it and see.
otherwise, all your tweens/animations will need to be on the main timeline with no nested animations.

Yes. Once you are done export it to Compressor to encode your video into an m2v and the audio into an ac3 dolby stereo. Then import those as assets in DVDstudio4, create your menu, if you need one and burn your DVD.

(Hope Shane Ross doesn't mind if I report one of his stock answers about a basic way to make a DVD followed by my basic "step by step" use of Compressor in order to give the OP a quick and easy support).

Now go to the settings window below, you can see the settings and destinations tabs. Go to Settings>Apple 4 groups>DVD 10 groups>DVD best quality 90 minutes two settings. This is the most common setting to use.
In a nutshell drag the DVD best quality 90 minutes folder over the "drag settings and destinations here" text. Choose your destination. If you click each setting the inspector window activates. Now before we go ahead I suggest you to read the manual and understand the importance of the inspector window and its functions. In particular read about Avarege bit rate, maximum bit rate and in general Variable frame rate (VBR) and constant frame rate. With regard to audio read about ac3.
This time we leave default settings and proceed by clicking the Submit button.
In the preview window, right below the player commands you can see a little arrow and a date, click on the arrow and you can see that Compressor is encoding your video.
Step 2
When the encoding process is over open DVDstudio.
See the first button of the toolbar , top left? Click on Import Asset, find your encoded audio and video files and open them.
Now since your movie has been already compressed video(Mpeg2) and audio (ac3) they will show in the assets tab below the graphical tab followed by two green lights.
From now follow Shane Ross's steps from point 3 if you don't want a menu.
If you need a menu there's a simple video tutorial that came with FCP studio 2 discs . Take a look at that.

Please help with this Premiere Pro CS5 encoding error
VBR 2 pass encoding getting stuck at 50% in Premire Pro CS5. I assume this is the starting point of pass #2. The Error message states that one of the temporary files created during first pass cannot be read. I confirmed that said file exists, it is in the correct location and has the correct file name. Interestingly, at times, the 2 pass encoding proceeds through completion without issues, but I haven't been able to identify the reason for this. PLEASE HELP!! Thank you.
Thank you so much for replying. I tried running as administrator and it did not correct the issue. Luckily I did figure out the problem after trying various ways. It so happens that Windows seven sets "read Only" attributes to files within folders that you create by right clicking on the drive name and using "New Folder". So, when the encoder tries to over-write on one of the temporary files it created during the first pass it can't do it and it issues the error "Cannot open file for writing...etc.". I fixed it by right clicking inside the folder contents and changing the attribute. Now it works. This is the error that I was getting:

I shot a bunch of clips using 'ishowu' with the '640x480' option enabled... then imported them into Final Cut to make a movie.
My question is, now that the movie is done, what is the best way to export for youtube, using what dimensions? I tried to export using 1280x720 for youtubes widescreen, but it stretches out my whole video making everything look abnormally wide. How can I get the best video size but without it streching out my video?Export it using 640x480.
There is no point in making it larger because you cannot put in information that is not there originally.
640 x 480 is the optimum size. Make it any bigger and it will just appear degraded. -

If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

How can I sync my iPhone on a different computer without erasing my applications? My iPhone was earlier synced with a PC which I don't use anymore.

PowerPC refers to the processing chip used by Apple before they transferred to Intel chips. They are very different, and applications written only for PPC Macs cannot work on a Mac running Lion.
You could contact the developers to see if they have an updated version in the pipeline. -

Need help with Patch Tool in CS5
I am having a problem using the patch tool in Photoshop CS5. I click on the Patch Tool and select the Source option from the upper tool bar. Then I circle a gray area in the background of my photo and, holding down the left mouse button, I drag the selection to a black area in the background and release the mouse button. Instead of turning the selected area black it just makes the area slightly darker than it was originally. I just don’t understand why I can’t use the patch tool and any help would be appreciated.

-I created a UML model with Papyrus tool and I applied MARTE profile to this UML model.
-Then, I applied <<PaStep>> stereotype to an AcceptEventAction ( which is one of the element that I created in this model ), and set the extOpDemand property of the stereotype to 2.7 with Papyrus.
-Now In the ETL file, I can find the stereotype property of extOpDemand as follows :
s.attribute.selectOne(a|a.name="extOpDemand") , where s is a variable of type Stereotype.
-However I can't access the value 2.7 of the extOpDemand attribute of the <<PaStep>> Stereotype. How do I do that ?

2-Open lqn.model.
There are two folders inside MinimalExample folder, the one which is called MinimalExample has 4 files, model.uml , lqn.model, uml2lqn.etl and MinimalExampleTransformation.launch.
The other folder which is LQN has four files. (.project),LQN.emf,LQN.ecore and untitled.model which is an example model conforming to the LQN metamodel to see how the model looks like.

Am using Photoshop Elements 8 and trying to make a slideshow. Have tried 4 times now and keep ending up with same problem, cannot reopen project to continue edititing. Won't show up in orginizer and when I find on harddrive and try to open get message " wmv file cannot be opened". How can I save a

You need to save the slideshow project in order to be able to go back later and make changes or additions to an existing slideshow . The wmv file is a final output format.
Now you are most probably using only the Output command: that is what makes the wmv file.
You should also do the Save Project command. (and I make it a practice to do the Save Project command before I do the Output command).
If you look at the Elements Organizer 8 Help, there is a topic on "Create a slide show".
-- Very close to the beginning of that topic is a screen shot of the Sldie Show Editor screen,
-- The bar below the usual menu bar is labeled with a "B" and called the Shortcuts bar.
-- The 1st entry on that Shortcuts bar is "Save Project"
It is the Save Project command that saves the information about which photos, audio, etc you placed in that specific slide show so that you can come back again to do subsequent editing. Save each Project with a unique name.
After completing the Save Project command, you shoud see an "icon" in the Organizer for that slide show.
Note: you must also keep the photo files and audio files which you have used in this slide show: you can't delete them because the project file does NOT contain a copy of the photos, it only has the identification and folder location of the photo and audio files.
