Please help with mail setting

incoming and outgoing mail works perfectly using my wifi network. using edge i can only recieve email but not send. when i called apple care they told me to change the outgoing server to cwmx.com. that setting works on edge but not my comcast network. Does anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried changing the server port from 25 to 587 for Comcast's SMTP server?
If not, go to Settings > Mail and select your Comcast account.
In the Host name field, add 587 to the SMTP server address with a colon such as (address used as an example only):
smtp.comcast.com:587

Side note - I thought that if you set up your e-mail just like your home machine - you should be fine. Double check all your settings I guess. Good luck.

Reboot the ipad by holding both the home buttons and power buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.

Can anybody help me with resetting my mail? Right now everytime I click on the mail icon a box pops up asking me for a password which it never takes. I don't know what to do. Please help!

Same problem, but only on my iBook. Mail with identical preferences works fine on the iMac. Have reset accounts, but mail just spins for about 30 minutes trying to download. Also if I identify anything as "Junk" the program immediately freezes causing me to force quit. The message in force quit is that "Mail is not responding."
This happens both in wireless and wired mode. Passwords appear to be OK. Is it possible for the mail program to become corrupted, and if so how do I go about reinstalling?

Ok I have my Mail app on Leopard set up to recieve my Gmail emails.
Same thing on my iPhone.
Now the question is:
How can I set it up so that emails from my Gmail account are sent to both my iPhone and Mail app on my macbook?
Same with sent mail, is there anyway for sent emails to show up on both also?
Its so frustrating having to look through both my phone and laptop for an email.
There has to be some kind of solution for this.

If you are accessing your gmail account as a pop account, then once you download mail to you computer, it is no longer available on the gmail server for the iphone.
if so, what you can do is go into your mail.app and open the preferences.
Go to accounts and select your gmail account.
Click on the advanced tab, and there is an option to remove copy from server after retrieving.
If you uncheck this, it should leave the email on the server, and you should be able to access it with your iphone also.

I have successfully installed lighttpd+php (fcgi)+mysql+phpmyadmin, ssh and mc allso of cource, serveral times, so i know how to solve little problems
I need everything lightweight because my arch's box is not so fresh as i could want

192mb of RAM
8Gb HDD
10Mbit internet connection
whole project is for personal use only, and it will not even reach 10 user limit (me and some friends are using this..)
Now i`m willing to install mail server with some webmail ( i dont like outlook express thunderbird and other clients, only web acces)
I have googled for tutorials for 2 days now, just looking for best thing for newbie like me, with little knowlage of linux.
SquirrelMail or RoundCube wich one is bether ? I like RoundCube because it has nicer web design, but is it bether that SquirrelMail ?
Postfix and Dovecot are they enough good, or is there anything bether ?
Spamassasin and Graylistening will this work, or i`ll need something stronger?
Did i miss anything ?

Here is the description :
-I created a UML model with Papyrus tool and I applied MARTE profile to this UML model.
-Then, I applied <<PaStep>> stereotype to an AcceptEventAction ( which is one of the element that I created in this model ), and set the extOpDemand property of the stereotype to 2.7 with Papyrus.
-Now In the ETL file, I can find the stereotype property of extOpDemand as follows :
s.attribute.selectOne(a|a.name="extOpDemand") , where s is a variable of type Stereotype.
-However I can't access the value 2.7 of the extOpDemand attribute of the <<PaStep>> Stereotype. How do I do that ?

Instructions for reproducing the problem :
1-Run the uml2etl.etl transformation with the supplied launch configuration.
2-Open lqn.model.
There are two folders inside MinimalExample folder, the one which is called MinimalExample has 4 files, model.uml , lqn.model, uml2lqn.etl and MinimalExampleTransformation.launch.
The other folder which is LQN has four files. (.project),LQN.emf,LQN.ecore and untitled.model which is an example model conforming to the LQN metamodel to see how the model looks like.

Please, help me to set up wireless Internet connection. My router is WRT54GS. I able to get online when computer is wired direct to VPN internet cable.
First, I can’t open password request screen on http://192.168.1.1.
Second, when "Setup wizard" runs step #6 (“Check the router’s status”), the program asks for the password. Default password “admin” is rejected by the program and I can’t install Linksys software. Just in case I already pressed reset switch on the back of the router but to no avail.
Third, I don’t find out my Ethernet Adapter Wireless Network Connection and correct router’s IP address using ipconfig/all command after connecting WRT54GS with my computer. Ethernet adapter: DHCP disabled, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, IP address 10.32.132.193, default gate 10.32.132.1.
Tell me please: what’s the matter?

Seems interesting , first do this - push the reset button on the back of router .
push it till 30 seconds , unplug the power cable and plug in the power cable back in After completion of 30 seconds.
then try to log into , 192.168.1.1 again . with the password "admin".
see if it reply?

For Starters: I am on OSX 10.9.2 and am trying to use mail 7.2.

I cannot send. I have been at this for hours and hours and hours. Here are the details.
my mail server however is s1.sistercompany.net
I can receive email just fine. I can also send mail just find having set this up on my iphone and also in thunderbird (which i hate hate hate hate hate hate hate, which is why I am desperate to set up mail)
The settings in thunderbird are as follows:
Servername: s1.sistercompany.net
port: 465
Authentication method: normal password
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
However, I just can't get this to work in Mail. When I write an email and hit send I get a popup that says:
Cannot send message using the server s1.sistercompany.net
The certifcate for this server is invalid.
Now, my tech guy says yeah the certifacte is invalid because you are going through sistercompany server, there should be some way to just accept the certifcate anyway (but he has never used mail before).
So I have serached around and come up with this: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11706
Which tells me to use the verify certificate dialogue, which I would do except there is no verify certificate dialog. Any thoughts?

I am afraid there is no solution.
PowerPC refers to the processing chip used by Apple before they transferred to Intel chips. They are very different, and applications written only for PPC Macs cannot work on a Mac running Lion.
You could contact the developers to see if they have an updated version in the pipeline.
