Please help with my iphone 4 ipod app?

Hi everyone, I am having problems with playing podcasts and music on my iphone 4 (IOS 4.3.5 8L1). The symptom is that the podcast skips or doesn't play at all. Music is similar.
I have had the phone replaced by Apple once, and have been to the genius bar 3 times and spent hours on the phone to Apple support.
I have done DFU restores on the phone and downloaded the entire IOS update several times, the firewall, AV and ad aware all disabled on the computer (windows 7 BTW) during the download of both the IOS and subsequent podcasts.
Directly after a DFU and with no apps installed, sample podcasts (that had experienced problems) seem to be OK. I then installed the apps one at a time and tested the podcasts in between, I installed the 6 apps I find most useful. I then downloaded more podcasts and the problem returned after the ipod app on the phone "lost" some podcasts that were shown as being on the phone in iTunes. Resyncing meant that the podcasts were shown but the problem of skipping etc. had returned.
Today I went through the same process and got the same result, but with different podcasts. Similarly, the ipod app "lost" some podcasts before resyncing corrected that part but started the "skipping" fault.
Other things I have done:
The podcasts all play correctly on iTunes, and also on my iPod.
I have downloaded the entire podcast library several times to eliminate the remotest possibility that they are corrupt (this would manifest by them not playing correctly in iTunes/iPod I would imagine as well).
I have had a iPhone 3GS for a while and also an iPod, so I am familiar with the products, and never had a problem.
I have logged a case with Apple and am now at my wits end, because it seems that getting any sort of ownership is a real problem.
Any suggestions on what else I can do?

Display image issues
This can include bright or dark pixels, lines in video, or sections of video missing.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Verify the issue is not content related, by viewing different content.
If the image is too dark, adjust the brightness. In General Settings choose Brightness and Wallpaper and slide the slider.
Issue not resolved
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

    I suggest that you clear the AppWorld application cache:
    1. Open App World
    2. Go to My World
    3. Follow one (and only one!) of these steps:
    3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T
    3b. For Touch Screen Only BBs -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (
    3c. For newer (e,g., OS6 and 7) BB's, see this KB:
    KB24714 How to clear the BlackBerry App World cache
    4. AppWorld should close.
    5. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot
    6. Return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it may be sluggish while it re-synchronizes).
    If step (4) does not happen as listed, then the clear cache did not work.
    Hopefully that will allow you to download the app you paid for. If not, then you need to contact your mobile service provider (vodacom, according to your profile) for resolution of this...they may have to escalate you into RIM so that teh records can be properly checked. Please be aware that if the vodacom rep tells you they can't help or that you need to contact RIM directly, then you need to either ask for their supervisor or hang up and call back. There is no method for you to contact RIM directly on this...only via escalation from your carrier can your case receive formal attention from RIM.

    Hello, my iphone4s 's 7 months old, 2 days ago when the battery came to notify me at 10% i stopped using it and later it was turned off by itself. When i got home and plugged it in the charger it couldn't start up at all.I tried to press "HOME" and the "POWER" buttons for 10-20s but it couldn't start up or show anything. I bought my phone to apple store, the technician just checked( i don't know how he did but in just 30s) and he told me that there was proof that there was water in my phone and asked me if i wanted to change the phone then i had to pay 199 euro. I didn't accept that because the phone's never ever been in water intentionally or accidentally. He tried to hold the "HOME" and "POWER" buttons pressed but the screen was still blank later on the way home i found that the screen came with notification of low battery and symbol of charger but when i plugged in the charger the phone couldn't charge.
    The day after i came to apple store again the technician checked again for 20s and he said something in my phone was red and he said there must have been water in the phone. I explained to him that the phone's never been in water and i told him that i still used the phone until its battery went flat and couldn't start up or charge.
    I have a doubt about the battery and hereafter are symtoms of my phone before it became a brick.
    Symtoms : 1. i had to charge it 2, sometimes 3 times a day.
                     2. The night before it couldn't start up, it was fully charged and in the morning it was 67% with wifi on in sleep mode.
    I'm wondering if it's my fault or the product's itself and as the phone's just 7 months old do i have to pay 199 euro for the new one or it's apple's responsibility to change a new one for me without paying?

    Unfortuantely it sounds like some humidity issue has caused some liquid damage, possibly in your charger port area.  Have you ever had the phone in bathroom with you when having a bath?
    I had poor battery issues with my phone and the first thing they did when I got to Genius bar was check for water damage (luckily that was all fine).  After that, because of the issue with not being able to power off and poor battery they replaced my phone. They wouldn't ask for the money unless there is water damage there.  Water damage doesn't necessarily mean you soaked it in water, just a few droplets from somewhere have entered the port.  Unfortunately, according to warranty terms and conditions if you want it replacing you will probably have to pay them.

    - Try resetting the iPOd:
    Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
    button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - If still problem, connect to the computer and if it shows in iTunes restore the iPod via iTunes.

    If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it.  Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

    The App store is a iOS function and cannot be deleted. Try checking other home screens/folders and see if you can locate it. If not, go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

    If the iPhone was hacked and unlocked via unofficial means, it has become locked again. Insert original SIM in the phone to activate with iTunes.

    iOS 4.2.1 is the latest version of iOS for the 3G.
    Facebook and Whatsapp both require 4.3 or higher.
    If you want to use those apps, either use the old version that should be in your iTunes library or upgrade the hardware to a 3GS or newer device.
