Please help with purchased application on app world....
Hi. I hope someone can help me. I purchased an application (shazam encore) on bb app world, I clicked on the price tag, and then entered my password 2 start the purchase and downloading. When it was supposed to start the download, it gave me an error message of insufficient funds, while I had R160.83 in my account. When I checked my balance, I found that app world billed me for the application which I can't download. What can I do?

I suggest that you clear the AppWorld application cache:
1. Open App World
2. Go to My World
3. Follow one (and only one!) of these steps:
3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T
3b. For Touch Screen Only BBs -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (
3c. For newer (e,g., OS6 and 7) BB's, see this KB:
KB24714 How to clear the BlackBerry App World cache
4. AppWorld should close.
5. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot
6. Return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it may be sluggish while it re-synchronizes).
If step (4) does not happen as listed, then the clear cache did not work.
Hopefully that will allow you to download the app you paid for. If not, then you need to contact your mobile service provider (vodacom, according to your profile) for resolution of this...they may have to escalate you into RIM so that teh records can be properly checked. Please be aware that if the vodacom rep tells you they can't help or that you need to contact RIM directly, then you need to either ask for their supervisor or hang up and call back. There is no method for you to contact RIM directly on this...only via escalation from your carrier can your case receive formal attention from RIM.

Please help urgently - can't download App World
Dear all,
I posted yesterday about how I've lost access to WhatsApp on my Blackberry Z10. I'm a lecturer and use WhatsApp to communicate with my students so it is urgent that I get back on ASAP. I could not get the application to update or download so I deleted it but that has not helped. The root problem seems to be that App World is gone from my BB, and I can't get it back either.
I have tried several methods of downloading App World and none of them work.
1. If I enter the URL appworld.blackberry.com in the browser on my BB, I get the error "Unable to open appworld://"
2. If I visit www.blackberry.com/appworld/download as instructed on the BB website, it states:
"Simply visit www.blackberry.com/appworld/download from your smartphone to download. Or, enter an email address that’s integrated with your BlackBerry smartphone below and click submit to have a download link sent to you."
When I enter the URL www.blackberry.com/appworld/download in my BB browser it simply refreshes the same page with the same instructions.
3. If I enter the email address integrated with my BB, it sends me an email with the following URL in it:
http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld
Currently, entering this URL on my PC or in my BB yields an "HTTP Status 500" exception report. Previously (last night), the same URL was giving the following instruction: "Downloads via a USB connection are not enabled for this product. Please visit our mobile download site using the browser on your Blackberry." But I was using the browser on my BlackBerry and not a USB connection.
4. Searching around the web desperately for a workaround, I found a suggestion to download BlackBerry App World directly from the web at this link. However, when I downloaded this file to my BB and tried to open it, it just said "Unable to open file".

Thats strange! To confirm, what happens if tyou open BlackBerry World and search for WhatsApp?
This should allow you to see WhatsApp and provide a Install option (link).
If searching for the app doesnt produce any results, try scanning the following QR Code using BlackBerry World on your device. To do this, open BlackBerry World, swipe down from the top of your screen and tap Scan Barcode.

Please Help with RMI Application?
I'm require to develop an application to simulate system services such as changing passwords and executing remote commands. ie. an application to let the client change a password on a remote machine.
May problem is i'm very very new to java programming and wouldn't know where to start. If anybody knows of a similar application or can have the source code please please reply me with a copy.

You need something on the client computer - sounds like some kind of a command-line program, or perhaps a batch script wrapped around a command-line program. You could start by defining your comand-lines.
You need something on the server host - another program. Needs to do all the things your client program requests, so there are some pretty clear functions to be written.
The two programs need to communicate. Since you posted to an RMI forum, I guess you want to use RMI. You can either design your server to have one method per client-request type, or - more likely - one remotely callable server routine. You decide, and design your command protocol.
Then, your server has to do some mechanical things: At startup, register itself with an RMIRegistry.
Your client, when invoked, will have to get from the user the server host, and look up the server in the registry. Then it will have to make a request and - I guess - just hang waiting for a result.
Ypou may need user ID and/or password so that your server can authenticate the user.
Final suggestion: Pick just ONE remote function you would like to implement first, and do the smallest possible implementation just for that function. -

Hey - is there a mac specifc place where I can upload my photos for others to see and purchase it they want them? I have an iWeb website, but people cant get on there an purchase prints. Is there some way I can do this from iPhoto (rather than using snapfish or something similar)?

PowerPC refers to the processing chip used by Apple before they transferred to Intel chips. They are very different, and applications written only for PPC Macs cannot work on a Mac running Lion.
You could contact the developers to see if they have an updated version in the pipeline. -
I need help with redeeming a $15 App Store certificate. I tried to redeem earlier in the day and it was credited to my account. I could not figure out how to switch payment from my credit card to the gift card credit. Later on in the day I see the credit is completely gone and now the card is invalid. Nothing was purchased with the gift card so I want to know where the credit went. I also have$5 credited to my Apple ID from a past gift card that I can't access. What can I do. Please help me. My YouTube app will not work. Every time I open it says 'cannot connect to youtube'. I have searched for help and tried resetting my settings and rebooting my ipad2 but nothing has solved the issue.
Yes, I am connected to the Internet through my wifi. Everything is working fine with the e eption of youtube. I have reset all Internet settings and have tried synching to iTunes followed by rebooting. This is all the advice I have found although none of it has been helpful.

ce que je fais dans ces cas là, c'est vérifier que j'ai le bon mot de passe sur le BlackBerryID (en allant sur le site depuis un PC), puis dans les options aller directement sur le BlackBerryID (et pas dans AppWorld).

Am using Photoshop Elements 8 and trying to make a slideshow. Have tried 4 times now and keep ending up with same problem, cannot reopen project to continue edititing. Won't show up in orginizer and when I find on harddrive and try to open get message " wmv file cannot be opened". How can I save a

You need to save the slideshow project in order to be able to go back later and make changes or additions to an existing slideshow . The wmv file is a final output format.
Now you are most probably using only the Output command: that is what makes the wmv file.
You should also do the Save Project command. (and I make it a practice to do the Save Project command before I do the Output command).
If you look at the Elements Organizer 8 Help, there is a topic on "Create a slide show".
-- Very close to the beginning of that topic is a screen shot of the Sldie Show Editor screen,
-- The bar below the usual menu bar is labeled with a "B" and called the Shortcuts bar.
-- The 1st entry on that Shortcuts bar is "Save Project"
It is the Save Project command that saves the information about which photos, audio, etc you placed in that specific slide show so that you can come back again to do subsequent editing. Save each Project with a unique name.
After completing the Save Project command, you shoud see an "icon" in the Organizer for that slide show.
Note: you must also keep the photo files and audio files which you have used in this slide show: you can't delete them because the project file does NOT contain a copy of the photos, it only has the identification and folder location of the photo and audio files.

I switched over from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy S3 & I haven't been able to receive any text messages from iPhones. If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

The App store is a iOS function and cannot be deleted. Try checking other home screens/folders and see if you can locate it. If not, go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.
