Please help with reinstalling Windows 8 on the U410 touch!

Hello,
I've recently dropped my U410 touch laptop from a small height, but it landed unfortunately and the hard drive was running, which eventually lead to its failure. After getting this hard drive replaced, I ordered the recovery disks in order to reinstall the Windows 8 OS on my machine.
Here is the problem I encountered: the U410 touch does not have a CD drive and thus I cannot insert the recovery disks in the device. I have access to my old laptop and I have been trying for the past few days to connect the two, ( with an Ethernet cable) in order  to be able  to use the CD drive of my old laptop.
What I have done already: 
- repaired my hard drive
- allowed access privileges to everyone on my old laptop CD drive
-recovered the Lenovo recovery disk for my specific model and Windows OS
- tried numerous times ( to no avail) to get the cd working for my new laptop
What I would really appreciate help with:
- instructions how to connect my old CD drive to my newer laptop
- launch the recovery sequence from the CD drive of my old laptop
Any help would be really appreciated,
I am quite lost with this.

    I am afraid there is no solution.
    PowerPC refers to the processing chip used by Apple before they transferred to Intel chips. They are very different, and applications written only for PPC Macs cannot work on a Mac running Lion.
    You could contact the developers to see if they have an updated version in the pipeline.

  • Please help with minidump - Windows 7 64 bit

    Hi,
    I recently reinstalled Windows 7 and since reinstalling, I've been having a problem with BSODs when running Freemake Video Converter which was working flawlessly before the reinstallation.  No hardware changes have been made, nor any BIOS changes.
    I was getting various different BSOD messages and they seemed to point to Kaspersky 2013 so I uninstalled that, ran Kaspersky's uninstallation tool but still kept getting BSODs when running Freemake.
    So I formatted and reinstalled Windows 7 64bit again and installed MSE instead of Kaspersky. 
    I am still getting BSODs using Freemake though and it looks like a driver problem but that's as far as I can guess!
    My system consists of an Intel 2600k, 16GB RAM, Ati HD5450 VGA, 250GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD, Asrock Z68Extreme7 motherboard, various SATA storage drives, Pioneer DB-206K Blu-ray writer.

    Both of these were inconclusive and were different error codes (BCC).  Though Freemake was the active process I think there is an underlying issue.  Please run driver verifier as instructed in this wiki.  It will give a much better chance
    of "catching" the mis-behaving driver.
    Please run this test to find which driver is causing the problem.  
    If you are overclocking (pushing the components beyond their design) you should revert to default at least until the crashing is solved. If you don't
    know what it is you probably are not overclocking.

  • Please help with reinstall of iTunes

    I've been receiving a runtime errors on my Windows 7 computer.  I deleted all my apples programs.  When I went to apple to reinstall iTunes nothing happens.  Nothing prompts up...nothing.  It just goes to the next page and say's thank you for downloading iTunes, but I never got it.  Please help.  I'm lost now.

    Does anyone know of a case other than the one that came with the player?Something I can use,not like the pouch. It would be nice to change songs or even adjust the volume with out having to pull the player out all the time. If some one from Creative reads this....do you have any idea how much money you can make if you put out a case that gives end uesers access to all functions with out haveing to remove from the case.PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    Please Creative!! We need to have at least one case option that allows access to the screen and buttons at a reasonable price. Maybe strike a deal with a current case manufacturer to supply an option for all of the desperate users out here. I'm seriously looking at options to make one myself from materials I can find (actually came across a how-to on making a case out of a milk jug--please don't make us resort to such measures).
    By the way, the Vaja case is nice, but $80 (including shipping) is ridiculous IMO when you just need something to hold the player and provide access at the same time.

    Make sure you go into preferences in Logic and set the audio input to be your interface and the audio output to be either built in output or the interface, if that is hooked up to something else. It sounds like Garageband has the audio interface set as the input but not Logic.
    Also make sure you close all other applications except Logic to ensure it is not running in slave mode...
