There's something screwy going on with Adobe's server. The OP's time
stamp shows here (on NNTP) as 6:10 PM 10/1/08, which is correct as far
as I can tell. Last night when I first responded it was 6:43 pm. My post
shows up (again, on NNTP) as 10/2/08, 1:43 am, at which time I'm pretty
sure I was peacefully snoring.

Please help with an Indesign Post Card Problem!

Greetings! I am in need of some help! I am trying to create a post card in InDesign and then send it to a printing company. I sent my finished product to the company and they stated that it would not work out well. The font is too small, pictures are too fuzzy, dimensions are off, etc... I am confused because after reading and researching how to create a 4x6 post card in Indesign, I am still doing something wrong. Please, please help! Thank you for your time.

They would like a 4"x6" PDF. I only need to create the design for the front of the post card, not the back.
They said:

Blackberry Virgin - Please help with these questions

Hi there
I have just received my Blackberry 8900 and have a few questions if anyone can help:
- Is there any way of having a clock display whilst the phone is on "sleep" mode. I use my phone to keep track of time alot so is there anyway of having the clock permanently displayed when phone is not in use?
- I cant seem to be able to send a contact by SMS which seems a bit strange. Usually with my old phones I have been able to click on the Contact and access a "Send contact by text" option.
- The track ball I find a bit uncomfortable to use especially when having to click it, are there other navigation type pads on other phones rather than track ball?
- I am not currently connected to internet and wont be until next week when my new billing system starts. Can I use IM without internet access?

I have the following code that is supposed to be used to create "dog" objects for use in other graphics applets. However, there seems to be a problem with my setLocation method. My code is this:

It acts as thougth those methods don't exist, but I have the api specification right in front of me that says setFrame is a valid method for class Ellipse2D.Double. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Thanks for your time and help.

it acts as thougth those methods don't exist, Well, there is no getWidth() or getHeight() method for a Shape. These methods do exist for a Rectangle2D which you can create by using the getBounds method of Shape. For example:

I am trying to figure out how the editor accomplished having that border on the outside with the different colors flashing on the inside.
Is it a certain way to layer the vignettes and colors. Also it doesnt seem like he's using a vignette. Like its sometype of border i don't know about maybe?
Any other info about any effects used in this video would be greatly appreciated. I know he's using strobe light but that's about all i know. I really appreciate the

It's just a load of stacked layers - probably 30 or so off-the-shelf still frames of distressed film, grunge textures, etc. playing as loops, with rapidly-changing opacity and blend modes. If you watch carefully you see the same patterns of scratches coming round again and again. There's no inbuilt system in Premiere or After Effects to do it; people will either use a third-party plugin to render the distressed effect or buy a bunch of stock textures and make their own loops.

I wonder if anyone has a thought on this...I would like to record my band. I have a G4iBook, 1.42GHz with 512MB RAM. It's running OS 10.4.11. I have GarageBand 3.0.4. I want to get an Alesis MultiMix 12 Firewire. My plan is to go to our rehearsal studio and mic up the drums (kick, snare, 2 OH condensers), Bass DI, stereo keys DI, and 2 guitars DI. I would do this all in one pass. Then I would take everything home, do vocals and some guitar overdubs, then mix. My real question is- can the iBook and GarageBand handle all the data coming in without coughing up a lung? Also, does the Alesis work OK with GarageBand? It seems like an awful lot of mixer for the price.

Hello everyone, my name is Orela and I'm from Croatia. Last year i bought Lenovo S 10-2 and was happy with it but recently it broke down and wouldn't start. I have a warranty and would like to send it to be repared.
I have credit card information, personal e mail exchanges as well as family photos on the computer however and would rather repairmen couldn't go through my content.
My friend took out the hard disk but I remember that Windows 7 was on separate "unit".
Does S 10-2 have one 160 GB hard disk that contains 2 partitions (one for storage and other for Windows 7) or does it have one 160 GB hard disk + separate storage medium for Windows 7?

This is probably extremely simple to resolve...my Nano is not syncing with my computer any more. I thought I should try resetting it. I looked at the manual and pressed MENU and the CENTRE BUTTON at the same time and waited for the Apple logo to appear. I tried several times but it did not work!
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG, PLEASE??

When you restore the ipod, you need to press the menu and select (centre) button together for about 6 seconds. Try to be sure that your finger on the centre button does not touch the wheel part, and that the one on the menu button is closer to the outside edge.

Please help with a stupid question on networing 2 macs

I have a MacPro and a MAC book pro with and airport n base station. In the past, the books for my G4 and G5 told me how to network the macs with peer to peer so I can access any drive of one machine from the other.
I can't find out how to do that. Can you send me to a white paper. I don't have the G4 and G5 anymore, and can see the drop boxes on both new macs but I can't access them. I don't have permission. Have the setup procedures changed?
I also want to be able to connect my same MPB to a Power Mac at work.
I know this is rudimentary, but in Snow Leopard I am having trouble finding how to do it. I didn't spend a lot of time on leopard, but spent three years on tiger.

Well i am a final cut pro editor and i have a power mac g5 with 1.6 ghz.Its an older one but it runs great for what i need done. Anyway i wanted to go dual monitors so i went out bought a monitor and set it in place. However my graphics card only had 1 DVI PORT (Which had my main monitor on) and the other one was a ADC port. I bought a ADC to DVI-D and then realized it was the wrong one. Those Adaptors are very hard to fine, so i made up my mind a decided to forget that and get another graphics card. However i am not very good with that stuff and i really dont know which one to buy. Some others gave me a list but they were not the same as mine (slots didnt match)

If you could find a real ADC to DVI-I adapter, it would work, but the Dr. Botts ADC to DVI adapter

will not work with a DVI to VGA adapter. It does have a dual-link DVI-I connector, but the pins for analog video (and dual link) do not connect to anything. They use this connector because some non-Apple digital displays come with DVI-I and/or dual-link DVI plugs, when they only need DVI-D signals. The Dr; Botts adapter and (all others that I have seen) are only ADC to DVI-D. Even if they connect the dual-link pins from the ADC to the DVI connector, the result will be single-link DVI-D, since no ADC cards provide dual-link signals. There is no reason (other than cost) why an adapter couldn't connect the analog video signals from ADC to a DVI-I connector, but I don't know of any that do.

Note they say "flat panel".
You need an ADC to VGA adapter. They are listed from $40 to $150. Still less than a compatible replacement graphics card, although you can get a card faster than you current one, if you pay enough.

2) What is the maximum no.of records that can be displayed/entered in a datablock? Is it 250 ? If it is then, is there any way to enter/display more than 250 records in a datablock ? I am using forms5.0. what is the use of TABLE_FROM_BLOCK builtin ?
