Please Help! Won't import Garageband tracks into iTunes

So, i've done this before, but i can't get it to go into itunes now for some reason! Please help if you know anything i coud be doing wrong. I did delete the playlist that it normally goes into in itunes accidentally, how do I get it back?

Is there a message that comes up when you try to export to itunes? Is there anything specific that is suggesting that it didn't work? Be sure to search itunes first.

My Imac won't import a CD into iTunes

When I place a CD into the iMac it ejects after about 20 seconds, and doesn't show the contents in iTunes. I've worked through the menu options in iTunes>Preferences (I think) and tried openng iTunes from the application menu. This has been working fine for about 18 months.

When this has happened to me in the past it ihas usually been one of two things. It's possible the optical drive in your iMac is going bad, or the CD is badly scratched and can't be read (or is just a bad CD). Make sure the CD is as clean as possible and if that does not work it might be woth a trip to your local Genius Bar, if you have one locally, to have the hardware checked out.

I have just bought an Ipod and am having trouble importing my Cds into Itunes !!!
I seem to have the 'intro function' on in Itunes so I can only get the first few seconds of each track !!
Does anyone know how I can import the complete tracks and how I turn this Itunes intro setting off ?

let's try checking up on some of the simpler possibilities:
You can't import or play music from an audio CD in iTunes for Windows

... but if no joy, post back with your itunes "help > run CD diagnostics". one of the clever folk might be able to spot something in those.

Happens all the time and you are probably correct about cause.
Some CD manufacturers use various forms of copy protection on discs designed to interfere with computers reading the discs. I have found iTunes to be very picky about this too. I have had several discs iTunes would not acknowledge but could rip with another program. Other times the fix is as simple as cleaning the disc ro turning on error correction for the ripping process.

Unable to import Garageband tracks

Whilst attempting to put some tracks from the iTunes library onto my ipod shuffle, I was unable to drag and drop any of my own, Garageband, tracks into the shuffle. All of the other tracks went in no problem. I do not have this issue with my ipod. Any ideas why this is happening?

If your garageband files are still in the uncompressed, AIFF formats, then they will not copy or play on the iPod shuffle. You can go to the Advanced menu in iTunes and convert the songs to mp3/AAC format, then you should be able to use them on the shuffle just fine.

Same thing happened with my iPhone 4S - no one is any help. Thanks Apple for such a crappy update! I've called Apple, they say the SIM card needs replacing, I go to my service provider they tell me nothing wrong with the SIM card - provider tells me I now need a new phone. Sheesh! Try a Reboot press & hold menu button & power button hold both down until you see Apple Logo you will not lose any data. But you may need to do this more than once. I never use PCs for software upgrades or downloads I always use wifi had no problems with iOS 8.1 B sydd

I wish I could locate the apple document about backups, I know there's an official one but I can't find it. If you have a .mac account you can use the "backup" program to do that. The other way is third party programs that will backup any updated files to a remote computer on your network, or another drive. Probably the easiest though is just burning the files you need to save to DVDs or CDs. Someone else could probably explain this a whole lot better than me though, so give it a try.
Oh! And just out of curiocity, how did the program not work? Did you get an error, or was the folder just too far gone to get back? If the lisence you purchaced is transferable, you might just want to sell it to someone here or on ebay. Good luck.

Unable to import CD's into Itunes

I am unable to import CD's into Itunes. It won't rip into media player either. It recognizes the CD and starts to download and states it's imported but the information is unavailable. I have run diagnostics and re-installed Itunes. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Error message when trying to import a CD into iTunes

I get an error message when I try to import a CD into iTunes that says the disk cannot be found. I recently requested to uninstall Tune-up because I kept receiving annoying messages to purchase the software. It looks like Tune-up is deactivated, but now I can't import music. Any suggestions?

Without much to go on I think your drive is having problems. It may be something minor such as dust which could possibly be removed using a drive cleaning disc (computer supply store or CD store), or it could be an irregular error in a laser, or tracking, or loose cable, or...
One way to eliminate any iTunes possibility is if it is consistently doing this with a particular CD then try an alternative ripping tool such as XLD or Max.

Can't import audio CD into iTunes with Vista

I can't import audio CDs into iTunes with my new Dell 531 Vista computer. The songs seem to import, but only small (~50K) files are created, which don't play. Also, I cant play audio CDs using iTunes. CDs do play using Windows Media Player. The DVD/CD drive seems to work fine in all other applications.
I have tried the "device filter" regedit fix, but no luck. Anyone else have this problem?

That's odd because the CD reading test that the diagnostics runs didn't report an error. What happens if you select a song from the CD in iTunes and play directly from CD?
(Just a note, the filter trick doesn't do anything for CD import, just CD burn. iTunes doesn't use the Gear drivers for reading the CD.)

Hello CESNET the best bet is to try http://blowintopieces.com/fluke/ I myself don't use Flac files but to any audiophile it's important to hear sound at it's best. Also WAV or AIFF & ALAC you will need to use http://tmkk.hp.infoseek.co.jp/xld/index_e.html to convert into ALAC.
P.S. their is also a simple FLAC player but can't remember it one more thing converting FLAC to WAV will not give you full TAGs. Best bet is to try just one file you've copied ether straight into iTunes or convert & see what's best for you.

When trying to import a cd into iTunes

When I import a CD into iTunes,
after a few songs, the download freezes and my computer no longer recognises my drive d.
The D drive (DVD/CD rom) seems to have disappeared.
Since the computer does not know that I have a D drive, the DVD/CD rom will not work.

Ok, obviously no one has a definite answer for this, but I found several different suggestions on the net. I tried all of them, and none of them have worked for me. So I still cannot import CDs with iTunes. Instead, I am now importing CD's with Windows Media Player, which works just fine, then adding all of them seperately to iTunes so I can have the music on my iPod. it takes less time to transfer this way, than to force quit multiple ties over several hours to maybe get one CD imported.
In case the suggestions of others work for you, I did a google search on "iTunes freezes when importing CDs"- it brought up a lot of pages, with a lot more complaints than answers , but the easiest "fix" was to turn off error correction in your prefences. Since I never had error correction turned on, that didn't help me. The other most cited "fix" was the following link on Apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1421 . Though I never get an error message (iTunes just freezes), I tried it anyway. Still no success.
