I did checked the earphone there same time and found that I can't lower or high the volume from that new purchased earphone and even asked why and one of your senior staff said it might be the problem of my ipod shuffle's setting, Since the beginning of the time of purchase till I came to Nepal 4 days ago I didn't use the ipod because I'm not able to increase the volume and I didn't took my laptop with me while my visit there ...
But when I try to restore my shuffle here ; even that doesn't works ... Today and yesterday when I checked my friend's earphone of ipod - it was working on my shuffle and my earphone also working in his classic ...
I want to kindly request you since I showed my shuffle at the time of buying earphone there in Altek, San Martin AV in SAnta Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia and asked I need the earphone for my ipod shuffle 3G It's not my fault ... Could you please ask the agents of apple here in Kathmandu to replace it with the working the right compatible earphone for me ...

    While I agree that it would be nice if it was easier to transfer media from your Apple devices they should never be used as the sole location for any of your media.     Thanks Charlie and Leroydouglas - apologies for not responding sooner - I am new to the Community and couldn't see how to respond to your queries without 'replying' to myself - hope this works.  I do not use Windows on my Mac but it is possible I ran ScanDisk on my previous Windows laptop.  Perhaps I have inadvertently brought these files to my Mac??  Can I delete the files or will I be losing something I cannot verify?  So appreciate your input - thank you.

    Actually you’re not.
    The iPhoto Window reports the size of the library that would result if you exported all the current versions +and nothing else+ to a folder on the desktop.
    The iPhoto Library Folder contains the Original, Modified and thumbnail versions of your pics. It also contains various cache and database files +all of which are necessary+ for the working of the Library.
    Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
    You can run a Library on an external disk:
    1. Quit iPhoto
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library Folder as an entity from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
    3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
    4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

    If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

    You haven't made any in-app purchases or have any auto-renewing subscriptions ?  If not and you haven't added or changed your credit card details (when you do then a small temporary store holding charge of $1, or the approximate equivalent in your country's currency, may be applied to check that the details are correct and valid, but which should disappear within a few days) then you can contact iTunes Support via this page and ask if they can help identify what they are from : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    Go to Start>All Programs and look in Startup. iF iTunes appears there, remove it.
    If iTunes is not in startup, do you have any iTunes widgets? If you don't know what they are you probably don't have any.
    Some iTunes Widgets can be configured to start when you start your computer and that could cause iTunes to appear.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
    How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I can´t sync my iPod 3rd Generation with iTunes library

    Hello, I´ve been trying for a while to sync my iPod with my iTunes library on my PC. It does show up on Windows as a drive and iTunes seems to know there is a device plugged in but then a message appears: "iTunes could not connect to the iPod touch because an invalid response was received from the device" I´ve tried several solutions, including: restarting the iPod Service, restarting the Apple Mobile Device Service, emptying my Temp directory and restarting and changing my device´s Drive Letter. On rare occasions, when I give it another try, I manage to get the iPod recognized, but when I enter the iPod menu, the sync button appears grayed out or if I can click it and attempt to synce the iPod, it seems to happen in the computer, but no changes are made on the iPod. I´ve tried syncing only music and only "selected music and tracks" but no setting seems to be transmitted to the iPod. The iPod shows the "charging" icon but never the "syncing" icon. I hope somone can help me. I have also tried syncing over Wi-Fi, and in the iPod, I can see the Pc but it appears grayed out.
    And, to my outrage, random songs have been dissapearing from the iPod randomly. It sounds weird but maybe it is because of iOS 5. I have an iPod 3rd Generation and iOS 5.1.1 (9B206). Both iTunes and my iPod say my software is up to date and maybe the iPod is too old for further updates but I only want to get my new iTunes songs into my iPod. Please somebody help me. Thanks very much!
