If it is Win 7 or later, the Adobe PDF printer for AA 7 will not install and AcroTray will not function. You will have to install a PS driver from Adobe or maybe an HP color PS printer driver. Then edit the driver properties and change the name to Adobe PDF and the port to FILE. You will always have to do an extra step in creating PDFs by opening the file that is created in Distiller to get the PDF.
If you are talking about Win 8, you may not be successful at all. If you got Acrobat and Distiller to install, then there is a chance.

I see you're experiencing issues installing the printer software. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.
I would disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software and any Real Time Scanning in the Antivirus Software also, to see if that is causing the issue. How to use MSCONFIG . Click on the Startup tab and click Disable all, Then click the Services tab and check Hide All Microsoft Services.
Restart the computer.
Disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
Run the uninstall from the CD.
Go start, computer, right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
Make sure that the print spooler service is running.
Right-click Print Spooler, and then click Properties.
If the Startup type is set to Manual or Disabled, click the drop-down list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.
Under Service status, click Stop and then Start, and then click OK.
Run the installation again and don't connect the cable until prompted.
Test the printer.
Then you will have to go back and enable the Startup programs, Microsoft Services and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.

I'm installing HP Change Impact analysis on Quality center and bring SAP in Sync later.One of the installtion step isto install the SAP JCo(Java connector ).I have installed the SAP Jco and on starting the CIT Server..I get a exception messsage

To create JCO follow the procedure.
Logon to portal>content admn>create JCO destination-->Here u have create Jco for ?Model data and Metadata.
steps invovled in it.
1.      Define general data
2.      Define the J2EE cluster
3.      Define the data type and connection type
4.      Define the application server or message server
5.      Define the security settings.

My printer will not print. Windows says the printer is not online. I have checked cables and tried rebooting my computer. Also turned printer off and turned it back on. My print jobs are stuck in the print que.

New to Forms, need help in Installing the Summit Application

Can someone guide me in installing Summit appl. and a runtime env. configuration. I am using 10g Dev. and 10g DB.
I have put the complete summit folder (got it from OTN) in C:/ and was successful in importing the summit data from the command line.
the problems i am facing are:
*Should i directly point to the summit folder in the c:/ while entering values for forms_path in the registry?
*next point in the readme file says
compile the application. The file gen.bat will generate files under microsoft windows. What application should I compile and how?

The first thing you must realize is that this Demo is very old and was created for a very old Forms version (6.0.x). At least three new releases have come out since this demo was created.
The documentation for the demo is specific to that old version. Every reference to "60" should be removed. For example a reference to FORMS60_PATH has now been changed to FORMS_PATH. This applies to ALL variables.
The same applies to file names. For example f60all.jar is now frmall.jar. Same is true for f60all_jinit.jar, which is now frmall_jinit.jar.
So, as you can see copying the README word for word is going to cause you problems.
Here is an overview of what you likely need to do based on your last update:
1. Verify that you successfully imported the database objects related to the demo. Login as summit and see if the tables and data actually exist. If not, this should be corrected first.
2. Whether you use default.env or summit.env is entirely up to you. If you choose to use default.env, the only thing I can think of that would need to be changed is the FORMS_PATH. Add the path to where your FMX, MMX, and PLX files will be located.
If you choose to use summit.env, copy the file to ..\forms\server (this is the same directory where you will find default.env). Open this file in a text editor. You will need to change all of the "60" references like I previously mentioned. You will likely also need to change the value of ORACLE_HOME as well as many others. This is why using the existing default.env would probably be easier.
If you carefully read the contents of summit.env, you should be able to understand what needs to be changed. I'm sure many of the directories noted in the file won't even exist. You need to set them to the equivalent on your system.
3. If you plan to use a "gen.bat" file to compile the application, you will likely need to open it in a text editor first. Verify that FORMS_PATH, ORACLE_HOME, PATH and all other variables are correctly set.
4. If you are using Developer Suite there is no Apache, so setting the Alias is a little different. However, as previously mentioned, this is unnecessary anyway IF you copy the demos CLASS and JAR files to the ..\forms\java directory. You will then not use the Alias reference in your ARCHIVE and ARCHIVE_JINI entries. For example simply do this:

archive=frmall_jinit.jar,RoundedButton.class
5. As mentioned, your formsweb.cfg entries will look like this and should be at the bottom of the file below the existing entries:

The reference to serverApp is for access to the .dat file, which I will assume you have in your C:\summit directory. Again, remove the Alias reference and copy the file within the Oracle Home where the original is found. If the demo .dat file is named "Registry.dat", rename the original so you can revert back to it later.
This file should be stored in:...\forms\java\oracle\forms\registry
If you really want to create the Alias and follow the instructions as closely as possible, you will find that the Alias should be configured in the following:
...\j2ee\DevSuite\application-deployments\forms\formsweb\orion-web.xml
Use the existing entries as an example. Your entry will look something like this:
<virtual-directory virtual-path="/summit" real-path="C:\summit" />
If you are new to all of this, I would recommend that you flip through some of the documentation. Starting with a demo before understanding how the product works is probably not the best approach. Here are some references to useful documentation. References to additional documentation can be found in link on these pages. Be aware that most documentation which was created for Forms 9.0.4 will still apply to 10.1.2.

can u guys solve the problems??? i also working on the ARM board which came from China. my problem also almost the same.still configure how to run the java program on that board. i just read from this journal, http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/8757. this author said that we don't have to install JVM in our target. we just have to use GCJ (GNU Compiler for Java), which is will compiles our Java source down to the machine code for the target. but, the author used PowerPC target, that was the issue. i already try this method but it was not working yet. i also don't know why yet.please let me know if u guys can slove your problems. tq~

Need help in installing the camera raw update that will cover my Sony Alpha 77 & let me open & edit them in CS5 Extended.

I have the Photoshop CS5 Extended installed, but have just got around to using it to size some photos for an internet circle only to find that I cannot open my cameras Raw files, a Sony Alpha 77. The camera is obviously to new for the software installed with my version of CS5.

Your camera was supported in Adobe Camera Raw 6.5 but you could install the last update for CS5 which is version 6.7.1

I need help with installing the flash player!

I am trying to install the flash player and as the download progresses it asks me to close internet explorer to continue. I close internet explorer and press the continue button and it repeats the request to close internet explorer. I have completely closed out of everything except the installing process and it still won't continue the download, it wants me to close out of internet explorer and I have already done that! Can anyone help me with this??? I am so frustrated. I am not an advanced computer user, but I have followed all the instructions for this procedure and end up with the same result... close internet explorer. I would appreciate assistance so much!

You need to close all iexplore.exe instances; use the Task Manager's Processes tab.

i have down load the drivers fron one of HP web sites. and istall it. first it was not working at all. then afetr couple of time installing and un installing and playing arround. it does start printing a page vis. USB mode. but it was only 1 page or comnd. after that i have to powered off. and restart before i get 2nd page or comand get printed.
please advise what is the one i'm doing wrong. how i can get it it connected vis net work and get it working.
i hav eprinter connected with router and have ip address aswell.
need some help.

I understand you would like to setup the printer on the network and you have it connected by a ethernet cable with a valid ip address.
If the printer is still listed in devices and printers folder we can create a new port with the ip address. If not run the add printer wizard.
Go to start, devices and printers, right click the printer, go to printer properties, select ports tab, select new port, click standard tcp/ip address, next, type in the ip address for the printer, next, finish.
Make sure printer is online by right clicking the printer, show whats printing, click printer button at top of screen, make sure use printer offline isn't checked. If it is click it to uncheck it.
If you require further assistance please provide the following so I can assist you better.
What operating system are you using? (winxp, win7, win8, win8.1)
What is the printers ip address?

Добрый день. Купили принтер HP LaserJet Pro 400. При установке принтера по сети драйвер не находит принтер при сканировании сети даже при указании IP принтера. При установке принтера через устройства и принтеры, установка зависает на соединении с устройством. Веб панель принтера при этом доступна и работает. Пробовали все драйвера принтера PCL6, PCL5, PS, Universal Driver PCL6, PCL5, PS принтера по прежнему не видно. Так же пробовали установку с другой системы Windows 7 с соответствующим драйвером.
Пробовали ставить драйвер с выключенным принтером. Драйвер установился принтер печатает но: в диспетчере появляется процесс который грузит все напрочь прилагаю фото:

79 Service Error Message on the LaserJet Pro 200 color M251 Series printer

I've been using this printer with the Mac OSX 10.9.4 OS for about 9 months.
I'm now getting a 79 Service Error message. I've tried to turn the printer Off and On several times to no avail.
Strangely enough, when I try to print a new document, a message keeps appearing on my computer, that says "The printer has been paused. Do you want to resume printing?" When I click the Resume button, nothing prints out.
The user manual says that the 79 Service error message is linked to a firmware problem? Do you know how I can fix this issue?

I see by your post that you are getting a Service 79 error on the printer. I can help you.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
This can be caused by malformed PostScript documents.
Please do the following:
Locate the on/off switch on the bottom of the printer.
Switch the printer off position and COUNT to 10.
Turn the printer on again and the system should be all set.
Try printing from another application to see if you have the same issue.
If a print job of yours repeatedly causes this error, it may indicate a problem with the print job.
Try breaking your document up smaller before printing it.
Repair the Disk Permissions on the Mac:
Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.
Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.
Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.
Restart the computer.
Reset the Printing System:
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Click the Apple icon ( ), and then click System Preferences.
Click Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.
Then click the + sign, then select the printer from the list and click on the Add button.
(make sure it shows the printer name beside Use, not the Airprint driver)
Try printing again.
I would recommend to run a firmware update on the printer if the issue continues.
There are none on the website for the 10.9, but you can run the updates right from the printer.
Go to setup, services, Laserjet Update, Check for Updates now.
What are you trying to print and from what application are you using? (PDF)
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.

Need help in installing the designer db

Hi All!
I have two instances up and running on Oracle 9i. These two were created with the help of export.dmp files.
Now, I will have to get the designer up and running on Designer 6i. I have few dmp files for the designer DB. Iam not sure how to go ahead with the installation of the Designer. It is because, when I tried logging into the Designer, I was prompted to create a repository and when I tried creating the repository, I imported an export.dmp file and now, it does not allow me to login. Iam thrown out with an error saying : " You are attempting to connect to a previous release of the repository".
Any thoughts???
