Please install Visual Studio 2005 before install Acrobat 9 Plugin Wizard

Hi,
I have Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition installed on my computer. I keep get error message said "Please install Visual Studio 2005 before install Acrobat 9 Plugin Wizard" when I installed Visual Studio App Wizard  Acro9PIWizInstaller.msi.
Any idea?
Thanks,
Thai

Lol
Do you take me as a joker ?
*Of course I have contacted the micorsoft support first !*
*They ask me to try to install the .net framework 3.5, to see if the setup wasn't define as XP compatible.*
*Then they don't have answer yet and asked me to contact Toshiba support (funny no ?)*
Also If you look at the microsoft support forum the only installation pbm with Visual Studio with Vista is toshiba laptop satelitte related
Ok now, as it's my job, here is what I think :
Maybe the laptop was first setup with XP and maybe Tshiba reseler did install Vista on it as a migration !
First case
So to be absolutly sure it wasn't the case I did a format of my HDD and reinstalled vista from the Toshiba Crash and recovery CD
Second case
The problem remain, so it is possible that this Recovery CD and/or any other Toshiba product create this problem !!!!
Note that the C# or J# express just work fine, it's only the Visual Studio 2008 tem suite and pro

    Hi Gopi,
Are you trying to add the hosts to your OEM 12c, and then choosing "Deploy Agent"?
Please check this error message about the image file..
The image file C:\oracle\core\12.1.0.2.0\jdk\bin\java.exe is valid, but is for a
machine type other than the current machine.
    "Validating OMS_HOST & EM_UPLOAD_PORT failed."
If the agents are deployed earlier from another OEM12c server, please undeploy them and then try.
    Thanks,
    Rajiv.

  • Install FC Studio 1 before installing FC Studio 2?

    Hello,
I just installed Leopard on a different start up disc so must I install Final Cut Studio 1 before installing Final Cut Studio 2? Also, I would like to transfer ilife '07 to Leopard. How would I do this with this set up?
    Thanks,
    Jordan

    1. Not if you have a full retail package, and if you have an upgrade, you will probably only need the serial number.
    2. Use your computer's original disks or iLife installation disk to install it, and then run all applicable updates listed in the Software Update pane of System Preferences.

  • Visual Studio App Wizard won't install with Visual Studio 2005

When I try run the Visual Studio App Wizard from the Acrobat SDK V8.1 on my PC it tells me 'Please install Visual Studio 2005 before install Acrobat 8 Plugin Wizard'. I have Visual Studio 2005 installed with SP1. I also have the .NET framework 2.0.50727 SP1 loaded. I see this same problem on two different PC's with the same software configuration loaded. Any known issues with that?

I've never seen this happen. It's been a while since I last installed the
v9 SDK and it's plug-in wizard, so I don't remember how the installation
    went.
I do most of my plug-in work on the Mac, where there is no plug-in wizard,
so I don't use it - not even on Windows. You do not need it to start a new
plug-in: Just use either the Starter plug-in from the samples, or the
BasicPlugin project. This will give you something that compiles and runs.
Then do a few simple text replacements to give things the proper names and
use that as your starting point. The wizard will give you a few more things
in regards to HFTs, but it's not complicated or time consuming to do that
by hand. The good thing about having to do this every now and then is that
it keeps your memory fresh about how HFTs work.
If you want to save yourself some time, create your own starter plug-in
that you mark up with comments about what you need to replace and why - put
all the stuff in that you usually need and then just use that every time
you need to start a new plug-in. Setting up a plug-in framework is usually
a very small portion of the time that you will eventually spent on the
plug-in development, so using the wizard will not save you much in the
    overall development time.

  • Visual Studio 2005 with SP1 for Windows 7 - 64 bit

    Hi,
I am trying to install Visual Studio 2005 on a 64-bit platform (Windows 7). The version in about section reads Version 8.0.50727.42
     (RTM.050727-4200)
I need to install the Service Pack 1 for Visual Studio 2005 but the installer available is for 32 bit (VS80sp1-KB932232-X86-ENU.exe)
This does not install on 64 bit system.
How do I get Visual Studio 2005 with SP1 installed ?
P.S- On the network I work on, I can see a Windows 2008 (64 bit) system with the version of Visual Studio 2005 that reads  Version
8.0.50727.762  (SP.050727-7600) but I dont know how that was installed. Any help would be
    appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Wilson

    Hello WillisB,
I think your concern is the name X86 here. Actually Visual Studio is x86 version and we do not have a x64 version Visual Studio. So if you install Visual Studio on X64 version, it is also available. And when you see this page
http://www.microsoft.com/en-hk/download/details.aspx?id=7524 You can see the system requirements:
    Supported Operating System
Windows 7; Windows Server 2008; Windows Server 2008 R2; Windows Vista
    Processor/RAM:
    Vista hardware requirements.
Required Software:  licensed copy of a Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1.
So please don't mind the name x86, the update can still be installed on Win 7 x64.
By the way, to install Visual Studio 2005 on Win 7, please check YiChun's post on this thread:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/f75d8ff2-bed4-473b-bc9c-6faf78c5d83a/installing-visual-studio-2005-pro-on-windows-7-pro-64bit?forum=vssetup
"To apply Visual Studio 2005 on Windows 7, please check the following points step by step:
    - Download Visual Studio 2005 SP1 and install it
Visual Studio® 2005 Express Editions Service Pack 1
Visual Studio® 2005 Service Pack 1 for Standard or above edition
    - Download
Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 Update for Windows Vista and install it
    - When launch Visual Studio 2005, please run it with administrator privileges
(Right-click the icon >> "Run as Administrator")"
By the way, Visual Studio 2005 is out of our mainstream support, what about change to use some new version of VS? For example, Visual Studio 2013 Community version.

  • Launching VB6 Editor after installing Visual Studio 2013 results in "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Visual Studio..."

I have had various versions of Visual Studio installed beside Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise for some time with no problems, most recently Visual Studio 2012 Premium.
I recently installed Visual Studio 2013 Premium, and now every time I open VB6 I get a dialog that says "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2013" that shows a progress bar. After it finishes (30 seconds or
so), it launches again and again and finally VB6 will open. This happens with each instance of VB6, regardless if I've already done it once and never run VS2013 in between.
If I cancel the dialog, I get this error message in a dialog: "Error 1712. One or more of the files required to restore your computer to its previous state could not be found. Restoration will not be possible." Several more "Please wait"...
dialogs will appear and if I continue to cancel, eventually I'll get the VB6 editor. It appear to work fine despite the error messages.
It seems to me that the VS2013 installer flagged some dll's or other files to be rolled back whenever starting VB6. It doesn't appear to be necessary, and I'd like to avoid playing the "Please wait" wack-a-cancel-button game before launching each
instance of VB6 (or waiting several minutes for no reason). So how do I fix this?
Note: I've seen something similar happen in Outlook on a different PC when upgrading from 2010 to 2013. The same sort of "Please wait"... dialog would appear each time I opened Outlook. Judging by the "similar" questions that popped up when
entering this forum post, I'd say this is a general problem with upgrading older versions or installing newer versions of major Microsoft software side-by-side.
    /* Don Reynolds */

    I found the answer!
I was having the exact same issue, and I was search for a solution and I happened across the following thread: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f4b0fd38-f4f9-41ea-bd8d-834203a175d2/building-visual-studio-2010-project-triggers-please-wait-while-windows-configures-visual-studio?forum=vssetup&prof=required
Scroll a small bit down, and there is a post by Barry Wang explaining that you need to use event viewer to find out what is missing. Anyway, I opened event viewer, then open VS 6, then hit refresh in the event viewer (under Windows Logs -> Application)
and saw a warning message from MsiInstaller. It gave me the following message:
Detection of product '{9C593464-7F2F-37B3-89F8-7E894E3B09EA}', feature 'Visual_Studio_Professional_x86_enu', component '{E3FF99AA-78B9-4A06-8A74-869E9F65E1FE}' failed.  The resource 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\URTInstallPath_GAC\' does
    not exist.
I opened an elevated command prompt, I navigated to the C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework folder and verified that 'URTInstallPath_GAC' didn't exist, and then I did "md URTInstallPath_GAC".
Closed and reopened VS 6, and it instantly opened - no "Please wait" message.
Now this may or may not be the same problem you are having (problem is - I have had it happen on two separate computers now with VS 6 and VS 2013 installed), but it should point you in the right direction. In fact, you should be able to use the Event Viewer
for anytime the "Please wait" message shows up for any application, and then once there find out what is really missing.

  • I am having trouble in installing Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate on Windows 7 SP1 x64

    Hi
I am trying to Install VS2010 Ultimate on Windows 7 X64 SP1 Specifically SP1 because before it I am using Windows 7 x64 and VS2010  Ultimate working there excellently. When I try to install it says the Setup file is incompatible with your Windows version
I am surprised by this please reply me as soon as possible
    Thanks in Advance
    Arpit

    Hi Arpit,
    Welcome to the MSDN Forum.
As far as I know, Visual Studio 2010 is compatible with Windows 7 SP1. I think this issue might related with the Visual Studio install media. I recommand you download Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate from
this link, and follow the steps below to install it:
Before install Visual Studio, please finish the steps below first:
    Turn off your anti-virus/antispyware software during installation;
Install the latest Windows updates from the Windows Update site:
    http://update.microsoft.com;
    Complete or dismiss Windows Update before installation. (And don't forget to turn it on later);
    Clean your %temp% folder (Start Menu >> Run >> Type "%temp% >> OK);
Run the setup with Administrator privilege: right-click the installer -> Run as administrator
If the installation still failed, please collect the installation log files from "%temp%" folder with the
    Log Collection Tool.
Send the vslogs.cab file in the %temp% folder to me for further analyze(E-mail: v-anwu_at_microsoft_dot_com). Note: Please attach the link of this post in the mail.
If you have any concerns, please feel free to let me know.

  • Cannot install Visual Studio 2013 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64

    Hi,
I'm trying to install Visual Studio 2013 under Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64.  If it matters the Windows O/S is an image running under Parallels.
I've had Visual Studio installed on this machine before (I can't remember the version) but have uninstalled it.
I'm getting an error "Microsoft .NET Framework required for Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows Desktop - ENU".
I've been Googling this issue for hours, trying numerous things suggested, to no avail.  Apparently it's a common error.
I've got the .Net Framework 4.5.1 installed.  I've also reinstalled it and repaired the installation.  I suspect the error message is a stupid red herring.
I'm at my wits end on this.  Any advice on how to get this bug ridden swill to install?
P.S.:  Clearly this is a known and highly frustrating issue for many people.  Why can't Microsoft find the bug, fix it, and put an updated installer on their download site.  Is this too much to ask?

You need to go to the MSDN website for Visual Studio 2013 found @
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd831853.aspx
The webpage with the system requirements has a Support tab for help with Visual Studio @
    http://www.visualstudio.com/products/visual-studio-2013-compatibility-vs
You need help for the application, not for Windows 7.
Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. ”

We are using visual studio 2013 premium. my object is to run the Coded ui automated test case remotely without installing visual studio. can you guide me how to approach it successfully ?
    Thanks in Advance..

    Hi Divakar,
    According to your description,
as far as I know that if we want to run the automation test remotely without vs using mstest, we will need to install and configure the test controller and the test agent machine.
Please refer to the following steps configure the test controller on locally machine and install a test agent on the remotely machine.
    Note: If you an
automation test on locally machine, we must make sure the test agent be installed on remotely
    machine.
    Step1: you can try to
configure test controller and agent, for more information:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh546459.aspx
    Step2: you will need to
assign roles to a Test Controller and Test Agent for Automated Testing in Visual Studio, please see:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff469838.aspx
Note: you will need to add a testsetting file before you assign roles to a Test Controller and Test Agent for Automated
    Testing in Visual Studio.
    Reference:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee256991.aspx
Step3: After you configure and install the test controller and test agent successfully, we can
executed coded UI test remotely using  mstest.exe on test agent machine, we would call the testsetting file in command line.

  • Could not install Visual Studio 2013 in Windows 7 via Boot Camp

    Hi there,
For a intro to programming class, I was required to install Visual Studio Express for Windows Desktop on my machine. Because I use a MacBook Pro Retina 13 , I had to install a copy of Windows via Boot Camp. I decided to install a copy of Windows 7 as I had
a license with me on hand.
Unfortunately, I had trouble installing Visual Studio as it gives me a fatal error for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 during installation
Here is a copy of the log file that I obtained from the attempted installation:

  • I can't install Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate in my Windows 8.1 Pro

    Good Day Everyone!
I have downloaded an ISO file of VS2013 installer from Microsoft Download Center. I have checked the requirements and I have what it needs to be installed. But when I mount the ISO disc image, an error message appear.

I also tried to run it from the inside and another error shows.
Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate has stopped.
I have the ISO file checked and it matches the CRC and SHA1 posted from the download center. I also have .net frameworks 3.5 and 4.0 installed in my laptop.
I don't know what else to do. Please help. Thanks

    Hi,
Base on your question, please follow these steps to check the result:
1.Update your windows and disable Anti-Virus software, then reboot your system.
    2.Clear your %temp% folder.
3.Run the setup file as administrator.
4.If the installation fails, please use http://aka.ms/vscollect to gather the latest installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.cab from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to
https://skydrive.live.com/ and share the link here.
If it doesn't work,we suggest you burn the image to Disc ,and install
Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate by DVD.
