This is a major set back and would make my decission wheather or not I stay with another apple Iphone! I think it's also possible you don't quite understand how multitasking works on the iPhone. Most of the apps you see when you double tap the Home button are not running. They are recently used. Very, very few apps actually run in the background. Apps that do continue to work in the background are apps that play music or use GPS.

Exactly. Which is what I was leading to. Not sure why the OP is having issues with using apple.com on an iOS device.
I'm guessing he just doesn't like using a small screen. But, since that's publicly viewbale feature prior to purchasing an iPhone, so... yeah.

Any way to make the iPhone sort contacts by nicknames or something close?

As a happy iPhone user, there are a few things that I'd be glad to see some changes on.
One of these is more options regarding the contacts. Say, I like just the first name or the nickname of my friends and family show up when I call or text, but at the same time have the person's full name stored. What I wanna do is I want to be able to add my parents full name, and then just "Mom" and "Dad" under nickname or whatever, and make the iPhone sort and show them by that. Currently it doesn't look like the phone will let me.
So, is there any app or whatever that could workaround this problem, or do you think Apple would implement this in a future update?

I wanted this function as well and I just downloaded "BBClendar Free" and it works perfectly for this, better than an inexpensive digital watch!
Just go to the Advanced section, enable the hourly beep and even set which hours (mine is 8 AM - 10 PM) and what minute of each hour it beeps on. Just be sure to leave the program open when you go on standby or it won't beep.
As the App's description says, "Hourly Beep helps you to take a moment to rest in a busy day for every hour."

Well, since you've had the same problem, with three different phones, that all use different size sim cards, it seems pretty obvious the problem is with your carrier/coverage & nothing to do with your phone or sim card.

The Mail app on the iPhone does have an option to clear previous recipients like mail in Mac OS. The only way to remove these cached email addresses from the Mail application is restoring the iPhone.

When you use your GPS does your iPhone get hot enough to shutdown? The reason I ask is that I have run my GPS app with the screen brightness set to near max connected to power for hours. My iPhone got hot, but didn't shutdown.

In particular all photos or any slide show since the beginning of time have always had a black background. Not white. At the very least, the viewing of pictures should have a black back ground. I hope maybe you can introduce some gadgets or an upgrade that lets us choose something other than the bright white background. The accessibility option to inverse the video is awful. All your pics are negatives. I would hope you are hearing many similar comments and I look forward to an upgrade soon that gives us options to change that bright white. If I could I would set my iPhone back to IOS6.
The new IOS also kills your battery no matter it seems how many location services and other apps you disable.

do they still make the iphone 5? because im trying to replace it since it keeps shutting off randomly and wont charge because my battery is lose again.

Apple continues to offer Out of Warranty replacements for the iPhone 3GS and all newer models.
Alternatively, users can purchase the 5C or 5S new at full retail price.

it would be great.. but only if it also includes stereo sp/dif support as well.
I'd love to see a macbook pro or mac pro model with 8 channels of digital i/o right out of the box, especially if it were reliable and super low latency. and instead of canibalising into the sales of the apogee audio interfaces apple has touted as perfect for logic, they could also release a nice, apogee designed 8 channel converter to handle the analog i/o.
another bonus is that because so many users don't need more than 8 channels of simultaneous i/o, you'd have potentially high-end i/o without even starting to use the FW or PCI bus... awesome for laptop users who are hitting bottlenecks trying to balance good quality low-latency i/o, fast hard drives and other devices like say liquid mix, all on the firewire bus. you could leave your FW bus free for fast drive access, because your audio i/o would already be taken care of elsewhere.
sign me up.
