Please Please Help!!!!!! I Cant Send Media Via Bluetooth!!!! Please Help!!!!

Hi i recently got the blackberry curve 8520 and i have done everything i can to get it to receive files from other bluetooth enabled phones and it wont work. Im getting really fed up especially since i spent all my birthday money on buying this phone and now i cant even transer music from other phones onto it! Please somebody help- with clear instructions soon as possible thanks!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
See this KB:
KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones
Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the sending device. Do not skip the "Receive Using BT" step on the receiving BB...nothing will transfer if you do.
Good luck and let us know!

I cant send email via icloud account.  I have a BT router for vision

Thanks for the suggestion - it turned out that it was actually my workplace's network that automatically blocks external SMTP servers (for some security reason), so the email(s) sent perfectly once I went home and connected to May home network. Annoying!

  • How can I link my iPad Air and iPhone 4s via Bluetooth, please?  They haveBluetooth turned on but will not find each other.

How can I link my iPad Air and iPhone 4s via Bluetooth, please?  They both have Bluetooth turned on but will only search and find nothing. The words 'Now Discoverable' appear under the search panel.

for the devices to find each other via Bluetooth you would need to turn on the iPhones cellular hotspot and then let them search for each other. As far as I have found this Bluetooth connection is only for connecting the iPad to internet via iPhones data plan.
To transfer photos you could setup a new photo stream and put the photos you want transferred in it. When it syncs to the iPad you can save directly to the camera roll and delete the photo stream. You may also be able to delete the photos old photos and re-add them to photo stream so it looks like they are new to the iPad.

  • 8820 sending ringtones via bluetooth...

I am with Rogers and tried sending ringtones via bluetooth but can't. Is it because I don't have data service on my package? How do I attain it? download or through my service provider? I have bluetooth service for audio source, headset, dial-network, etc....

You can manage the ringtones through the Blackberry Desktop Manager under Media.
If I help you with any inquire, thank you for click kudos in my post.

  • Sending SMS via Bluetooth not working

    Hi,
I have two Nokia phones, an N73 and an older 6600. I was able to pair both with the Bluetooth in my MacBook Pro SR.
I can access the web via dial-up networking, so that's working fine.
However, I am unable to send SMS via AddressBook over the phone. When I click the little connect-to-bluetooth button in AddressBook, I am first asked to pair the phone - even though it's already paired, and connects automatically on both the computer and the phone. Then, when I do enter the code on the phone, the connection just fails. The button gets a slight blue outline but the B symbol doesn't actually light up as it should.
    Send SMS remains grayed out.
Has anybody got this to work or know what could be wrong?
PS: I am able to send SMS on Windows using MS SMS Sender, so I am sure that it's not the phone's fault.
This worked fine with my Titanium Powerbook with USB Bluetooth dongle.

Thanks for the response, but that's not it. The N73 is listed as supported, and iSync works perfectly well. Dial-Up networking also works perfectly well.
Only sending SMS via bluetooth doesn't work.
Also - no idea if this is related - faxing via the 6600 doesn't work anymore, which is strange because it used to work on the TiBook. Most people don't even know you can fax via Bluetooth phone and most newer phones have lost this capability so I guess this is just on its way out. Too bad because it was pretty useful...

  • Cannot send files via Bluetooth

My bluetooth used to work perfectly, but a couple of months ago a weird problem occured. People can send files to my computer normally, but i can't send anything via bluetooth.
I noticed that my sister has something like "OPEX file transfer" in the services-thingy but for me it says nothing. What's wrong?? Is there something i could do?

    And yes, it is.
And on the other computer you're trying to send to?
Have you tried deleting the following from ~/Library/Preferences/
    com.apple.BluetoothExplorer.plist
    com.apple.BluetoothFileExchange.plist
    com.apple.BluetoothSetupAssistant.plist
    and
    com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
    from /Library/Preferences/
and then restarting and re-pairing the devices?

  • Cannot send photos via bluetooth to Kodak printer machine

Cannot send photos via bluetooth to Kodak printer machine.
My iphone cannot find the machine and I was told that htis is an apple problem

Cannot send photos via bluetooth to Kodak printer machine.
Correct. iPhone doesn't support Bluetooth File Transfer protocol.
Many photo machines let you plug in a camera via USB, so do that instead. The iPhone will appear as a standard digital camera.

  • Unable to recieve contacts from pearl to bold via bluetooth please help

hello everyone. I have a BB pearl 8100 and a bold and my pearl has the option for sening all the contacts to another device via bluetooth, i have paired both phones but i do not get the option for sending contact list to device like i do with the other phones i have paired with the pearl. why do some decives recieve this option and others dont, i need to send my info via bluetooth because my usb connection is failing on thes pearl and i have almost 1000 contacts.
    please help, any ideas?

This is exactly my issue, even when the 'entire music library' is selected on the music tab, the gauge at the bottom (the blue showing audio) only shows 2GB.
On the top right of this tab however, it still states 8,000 songs.  My iPhone 4S is in (almost) complete denial of my library.  The other iPhone 4S linked to this library has no issue syncing the entire collection.
I have also tried selecting the other option where you manually check playlists, albums etc, and selected EVERYTHING manually, and still only 2 GB of my entire colletion is picked up.
My next options are backing up my entire library, deleting iTunes and all components and reinstalling, but what if this doesn't fix it?  I have wasted so much time on Match so far :-(  I could also make an appointment with a genius and bring laptop and iPhone 4S to the shop as a next step.
At this stage I would be happy if they refunded my Match subscription so long as I had my entire collection back on my iPhone.

  • Cant Send Mail via DSL

Im Apple Mail using iMac G4 and G4 tower. Both will recieve an send mail find via dial-up but will not send mail via dsl connection.
We get our mail via ethernet > router > antenna > atenna > another router > antenna > ten miles away at another antenna then to dsl source.
So our dsl connection/signal is going threw three other antennas and at least one router here in office before we get it.
My ISP provider says we need to talk to our DSl provider.
Any ideas? Our computer tech is out of office touch for a week.
    Ran

Thanks but this doesn't answer my question.
Allan, I am 99% percent sure that my ISP is not the same ones who supply our ethernet/broadband/DSL.
Is your internet service provider (ISP) for your
dial-up connection different from the ISP for the DSL
    connection?
Yes, I believe that they are differrent, however, I have new info.
At first my G4 tower with Earthlink account would not send out over etherner/broadband/DSl, but now it does! I, nor anyone else, has made any changes to the outgoing address that works for dial-up connection and is what we have always used until yesterday when we first tried the dsl/braoband
Kind of a different situation and not typical or the
norm to have a company that provides a DSL connection
not be the internet service provider for the
    connection.
Someone new came into our building for office space. He had the router, ethernet cables and antenna installed. He/we get electro-magnetic radiational signal from a larger business across the street who has a tower --soon to be a taller tower-- and they get there radiational signal from 10 miles away.
Knowing who your ISP is for connecting to the
internet regardless if using a dial-up connection or
a DSL connection (DSL is considered a broadband) is
important and if the email account and SMTP server
being used is provided by the ISP being used for your
internet connection or by a different email account
provider not associated with the ISP used for
    connecting to the internet.
Yes, I understand that is the case. Maybe I'm wrong and by some coincidence the DSL provider is Earthlink and that is why the G$ tower account began working for the outoging mail.
Im still having the sam problem on the G4 iMac which is a local.com account they have told us the same as you have, that we need to know who the DSL provider is and what info they require in the outgoing( smtp ) line.
You mentioned Earthlink which is an internet service
provider that offers dial-up access and/or DSL access
so does the Earthlink protocol you mentioned mean you
are having problems sending with an Earthlink email
    account and SMTP server?
Earthlink account is working now so again perhaps the DSL provider is coming through Earthlink and ergo we didnt need to make changes to the outgoing( smtp ) info line.
Thats the only way that one can be explained.
I take it you use the dial-up connection at home
(which is provided by Earthlink?) and the DSL
connection is used at the office?
Thats correct. The inital DSl source for the business that is 10 miles away, must use Earthlink. I'm now presuming this is the case with this new info.
However, there is another --3rd-- business on other side of street and he uses --Apple mac just like me-- and his ISP is "host centric". I looked at his mac preference accounts outgoing ( smtp ) line and his is
    "mail.the business name.com:his email address",
i.e. he does not use Earthlink but he has no problem sending out mail via the same DSl/broadband connections we have
The only reason he has his address in the outgoing mail liine is bceause he too is in larger business building with several differrent computers and email address's.
I've tried all kinds of combinations that are similar to the Earthlink outgoing and the hostcentric outgoing
but none work for the local.com account.
The exact error message provided when trying to send
    messages is also pertinent information.
"message delivery failed" "the attempt to read data from the server 'server-name' failed"
Then it gives me option to try differrent server names.
Thanks for your efforts Allan and ohters.

Well, it works fine if you use Nokia messaging service. If you use the standard mailbox it has been failing. I have some reservations about Nokia messaging service and thats why I dont want to use it.
