When I click on safari (iO7) on my iphone and then go to the main page of safari, with the symbols of Apple, icloud, fb, Twitter, etc, appearing, when I click on the safari symbol (located on the third line) I go to groupon website. It won't go away. I have reset and erased everything. Deleted history, cookies, but still it's there. Please help me. Thank you.

Hi Lawrence, you are great for replying so soon. Thank you. I'm in Australia, so perhaps that has something to do with the layout of the page after you hit on safari from the main page. I don't know why Apple (haven't visited on iphone), icloud (HAVE visited), fb (which I'm not on, nor use), twitter (have not visited on iphone), wikipedia (haven't visited on iphone) appear when, as my parenthesis points out, I haven't visited them. I click on the safari symbol after resetting and deleting everything, and still that website appears. Is there no way I can fix this? Surely there must be. I'm not familiar with what a favicon is, I should google that, before asking you to explain what that means.

I have multiple issues. first, i have a problem on iteration. i am given
(x,f(x)) and (x + d, f( x + d)), where x ranges from Xmin to Xmax and d = (Xmax - Xmin)/100. Draw the curve f(x) = X^3/100 - x + 10, where x ranges from -10 to 10 in this fashion. And am asked to draw a hundred line segments joining those points.
I have already figured that the distance d = 10-(-10)/100 which is equal to 0.2. Since i am told to draw 100 line segments, i figured that increasing -10 by .2 will take 100 iterations to get to 10.
Now my question is how do i use a "for" loop to represent the above statement. I have tried couple of them, but it doesn't seem right. example of the one i tried is:

for(i = -10; i < x; i++). I know this is wrong. Please help if anyone can. I will really appreciate and thanks in advance.

Cross docking is process where goods movement do not happen within warehouse house (No putaways & picking)
The process flow for the same is as follows;
Sales order creation>>Purchase requistion>>Purchase order>>>Inbound delivery creation(stock is inventory managed)>>Post goods reciept is done>>Outbound delivery creation (reference to sales order)>>stock is picked in delivery itself>>post goods issue.
Warehouse managment is not involved as there is creation of transfer orders in cross docking. So you need to cerate inbound delivery, do the put away directly in inbound delivery stock placement tab and do the post goods reciept. This will maintain the stock in inventory managed storage location.
Once PGR is done you can create outbound delivery with refernce to sales order and do the picking in picking tab in delivery and then post goods issue.

25k Limit in iTunes Match? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

I have been collecting music steadily for almost 25 years now. In 2009, before selling them on eBay, I had over 2,000 CDs in my collection. At that point I ripped them all into iTunes and stored the files on an external drive. I have continued to steadily collect music since then...ripping CDs borrowed from friends, free (and legal) downloads, bit torrent concert DLs from places like Archive.org and yes, many purchases from the iTunes store.
Currently I have 45,962 songs, weighing in at just shy of 264 GB. I have a 260 GB iPod Classic which I LOVE, but unfortunately outgrew quite some time ago (260 actually means 241 or so). Needless to say, I have very eclectic taste in music, and one thing I LOVE to do is listen to my ENTIRE collection on shuffle. I also have 30-or-so playlists which I add tracks to as they come up on shuffle. Once I reached the limit on my iPod, I set it to only sync checked songs and began systematically unchecking songs I don't like or like "not-as-much." This worked fine for some time, but I am all out of files to "uncheck" (I tend to only buy music I like). Additionally, I now need to quickly uncheck a bunch of files every time I get new music, if I want to listen to it on my iPod. For some time I held onto some hope that Apple would put out a 320 GB Classic, but sadly that is never going to happen.
I have a 16 GB iPhone 5, but storing music in that would be ridiculous.
Since getting my Mac, I have a renewed passion for my iTunes library and music collection (not-so-fun with semi-functional PCs). I am finally able to organize my library like I like to, and would LOVE to be able to access it remotely. A friend recently told me to check out iTunes Match, which reads like Storybook Fantasy in its description. Imagine my disappointment to learn that there's a 25k song limit! Tracks purchased from iTunes don't count toward the 25k, but I am not about to start re-buying 90% of my music just to use iTunes Match. I purchased a 3T WD My Cloud, hoping that would solve the issue, but apparently Apple's proprietary restrictions prevent the iTunes server from streaming remotely on my device using this service.
I read here in the forums, someone's instructions on how to essentially have TWO libraries, scaling one down to 25k...WHAT? I'd be better off just sticking with my Classic, which fits around 33k songs!
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP...Does anyone out there know of any way to accomplish what I want to do? I want to be able to access and play my entire music library (about 46,000 songs and growing), through iTunes (playlists, play count intact), through an app on my phone.

The music that is uploaded to iTunes Match (as you mentioned) is stored in iTunes Match. If it is not then where exactly is it? User uploaded tracks are subject to a 25,000 limit. There is no limit to the amount of iTunes purchased music.
All music stored in Match (either uploaded by you or purchased from iTunes by you) is available for streaming or download to an IOS or OSX device (Windows may be download only)
It's nonsense because it is almost entirely incorrect.

Ok so heres the story, I have my friends macbook pro model#A1226. He bought the laptop from someone else. After having it a couple weeks (and it worked just fine, no problems whatsoever) we tried to install full tilt poker on it and relized that it had a password which would not allow us to download anything without having it (this is weird to me that we didnt have to have a password to access the whole system but just to install stuff, weird). At that time we did not have access to an operating system disk (we were told that for this computer its 10.5) and were told that we could re-install and that would reset the password. So.... I did something I should not have done. I looked up online how to bypass the password. I found a post, http://theappleblog.com/2008/06/22/reset-os-x-password-without-an-os-x-cd/ that told me to access terminal (on load up after "chime" sound to push apple+s) than type "mount -uw /" and hit enter. Than type "rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone" and hit enter and than "shutdown -h now" and hit enter to restart. They said that this would create a new admin account and I would be able to delete the previous admin account with the password this way. Well....this may have worked except I typed the code in wrong, instead of "rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone" I missed a space and typed "rm/var/db/.AppleSetupDone". After I typed it in wrong I still gave it the command to shutdown and when I restarted it loaded up to the grey apple screen with the thinky wheel thingy and was frozen there. It will stay like that for about 5 min and then restart itself and do the exact same thing. I found a friend who had the Mac OS X 10.5 disk and borrowed it from him but putting the disk in does nothing, I have tried pushing and holding the "C" after the chime and "C+ctrl" and no difference. Is there a way I can format everything through the terminal (since this is the only thing I can access) or does someone know a trick of some other code to type in to reset everything or did I fry the Hard Drive or what? And we dont care about saving anything on the computer, we just want it to work. Someone please please help. This is my friends computer and Im an idiot for messing with stuff I dont understand. I feel so bad. Thank you so much for your time, to whoever is so kind as to give me some of there expertise.

Welcome to Apple discussions.
Your post was hard to follow, but, for openers, very few people should EVER use terminal commands. As you have found out, you can screw a system up badly.
So much for the lecture.
OS X requires a system administrator password when anyone tries to install software that will affect the operating system. This is an Apple security feature that keeps people from, hopefully, doing dumb things to their system.
You cannot use a "friends" disk on a system that differs from your own.
Bottom line, you need to reinstall the operating system (whatever came with the system). If it is OS X 10.5, you could do an archive and install.
There is no way that I know of to undo the damage caused by entering the arcane terminal commands.

after restoring all my stuff to the new phone, i wanted to see my messages but i discovered that all my imessages are missing. i checked in settings and i dont know why but the new phone doesnt let me use my phone number for imessage or facetime, instead it's using just my apple id. any idea how can i switch to the phone number again? in my old phone i used both my number and email for imessages, so i think maybe thats why i cant see my immessages now. please somenone help me!! thank you so much

Hi Katrina - I hear what you are saying about the problems. I've been using a BB Pearl here in Canada since January and I had the same problems with PocketMac from the start. iCal dates getting strangely duplicated after syncing and contacts in AddressBook groups getting listed twice on the BB. The only solution I used was to have the Mac always override the BB when syncing. NOt perfect but for me it was the simplest way to ensure the consistency of the data and my own sanity.
If anyone has a better solution that actually allows a clean sync I'd love to hear it.

My bb curve 8520 refuses to connect to my home wifi please somebody help me

i have had my bb curve 8520 for about 6 months now a not being the most hi-tech person in the world i have just downloaded bb app world altough i have managed to sucessfuly download a couple of free new apps to my bb
( battery booster and the sky sports live football scores app ) then i tried to down load TuneIn radio app as i like to listen to music when going to sleep and was fed up with using my top-up to keep paying for single tracks off the vodafone site at first the radio app just would not download that was at 4am this morning so this afternoon i thought i would give it another try and after a quite along wait it finally downloaded brillient thinks me but then when i went to use it i tried to connect to the USE WIFI ONLY option as i had just run out of credit but the wifi just will not let me connect to this app or website whatever it is i went to the connections on the home screen and selected wifi and connected it it said it was connected sucessfully so tried the app again but to no avail i have looked through a lot of posts on this forum and tried absolutly every thing that others have suggested some even say about not having a network service plan ( which i presume is your web monthly web allowance megabytes and that i hope anyway) but i know for a fact that i have one as i pay 5 pounds a month for 500mb and when i rang my account balance number this morning to use the vodafone I.O.U service it told me that my web allowance had been used so is there any one who can help me if this is the case about some websites and apps not being available unless you have or your service is paid upto date the why has it the wifi only option on the app and after it refuses me access to this app a screen pops up saying reload the screen but right at the top of the screen next to the app name there is a red warning triangle and next to it says" IO error :Tunnel...."

Can't connect to internet or mms. Please please help!!

I had my phone on wifi and then I turned wifi off and suddenly my internet and mms stopped working. I have simple mobile and I called them up and changed the APN settings 6 times and it never worked. I tried downloading the settings and when I click on simple mobile it says cannot download. But when I click on t-mobile it says successfully installed but I still dont have it. Nothing works and I am desperate here. It just stopped working out of the blue. I was on the phone with 4 different represtatives that had no clue how to fix it. I did update the phone to the new 5.0.2 and it still doesnt work and it didnt work before that either. Can anyone please please help me????

Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the sending device. Do not skip the "Receive Using BT" step on the receiving BB...nothing will transfer if you do.

In CCMS alerts nodes (memory/CPU utilization) setup for auto-re-action, I received alert in lotus notes, but manualy, when I apply
RZ20 (MTE tree)
SAP CCMS Monitor Templates --> Dialog Overview --> Entire System --> SID --> Operating system --> Memory --> Free memory
When I selected free memory and click "OPEN ALERTS" button it shows
Free Memory [2 alerts], 105 < 15 MB (with red color) then I received 2 alerts in mail unless I have to go from menu Extras --> Active mantance function then from menu "Edit --> Notes MTE --> Start method --> start auto-reaction method then it show in my lotus notes
My question is that why is not doing automatically?
2nd when I fix free memory probelm color become green but when it become red again then number of alers shows 3 alerts?
I don't know you guys get my point but please some help

Please Please Help Me!! Virus?

Hi all, i am afraid i have a virus and i would love someone to check my syptoms and diagnose me.
On the 3|1|07 an unknown server popped up on my desktop and on futher inspection it had the name "dev". I tried to disconnect but i was told I had insufficient privilages (how rude). When I opened my hard drive i noticed a few other new data files and tried to delete them and the same thing happened. so inside those files i deleted two files just to show them who was the boss. All files had their creation and altering date set to 1/1/1904.
I thought if i turned my mac off, switched off the wireless router and turned it back on again the mystery server would give up and go home, but alas, the computer turns on, makes the start up sound and the apple symbol appears and thats where it stays. I thought i would reinstall the system so inserted start up disc, nothing happening. now it is clear the key board is disabled because i cannot eject the disc, some more turning on and turning off with an attempt to reset the power manager (due to the 1904 date i thought it was worth a shot) but to no avail.
So thats where I am at. a grey screen with an apple hovering and a disc trapped inside.
Help? Anyone? and another thing.. I noticed the server when i had connected an external hard drive and it wasn´t showing up on my desktop. All symptoms help in diagnoses, right?
Just prior to this server popping up i was downloading the new lightwave 30 day trial from newtek.com and had been on a lightwave forum on turbosquid.com. So that would be where it hitched the ride I guess.
From what i have read the closest i can come to identifying this if it is a virus, it is similar to the INIT 1984, that scrambles all start up files. though i thought some sort of protection would be provided for a 22yo virus.
But all the same, does anyone know a course of action for the INIT virus?
I will be hanging for a positive respose from someone so please respond!!!

First of all, it is very unlikely that you have a virus, as there is no known virus for Mac OS X, unless it is something new, which has not yet hit the Boards.
In terms of your computer, try starting up in Safe Mode. Follow the directions in the link. If you are able to start successfully, log in and empty Trash. Restart computer.
Post back and let me know how it goes.

I did this back up because i was instructed by my service provider. This was supposed to sort out my losing connection problem, which it didn't, it instead gave me a new problem. If there is anyone out there who can help me to retrieve my lost information i would appreciate it.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

please please help...i restored my original iphone (2.0.1) after i restored...it doesn't give me the option to sync...it brings me back to the restore screen! I didn't know what to do so i hit restore again (another 3 hours!) how do i sync???
