Problem:
When you log into the Spotify application, you find that all your account information seems to have disappeared - all playlists, starred list etc have gone. If you are a subscriber, you also find that your account has dropped down to Spotify Free.
This is also most likely to happen to those who created their Spotify account before September 22nd 2011. In other words, those who chose their own Spotify username when they created the account.
The likely explanation for this is that a new Spotify account has been created, using your Facebook login information.
Solution:
In the Spotify desktop application, log out (File > Log out..)
In the login box, now log back in again, using your Spotify username and password. This will log you back into your original account.
However, your Facebook account will still be connected to the new Spotify account. To break this connection, connect to Facebook from within the desktop application. You can do this in Preferences > Social Network
(Preferences is found under the Edit menu on Windows, and under Spotify on Mac)
You can disconnect from Facebook after that, if you wish.

Issue:Playlist and Premium account gone (duplicate account) Synopsis:I changed my Facebook password which automatically logged me out of Spotify. When I logged back in with my "New" Facebook credentials Spotify created a new account for me. This essentially makes it impossible for me to login to the old account because I never created a Spotify account outside of Facebook. Solution(for my account(s)):Find the original account and link it with the Facebook authentication token you have in your database. Solution(for the bug):Facebook can not be trusted to maintain individual tokens for each account. You can look up the token for returning users but when creating new accounts you have to de-dupe on the email as a first step to be sure the user doesn't already have an account. Reparations:Premium/Unlimited are services that are paid for. If you are still charging me while your system does not allow me to login to the account to manage the subscription where you have my Credit Card on file, you may have a legal issue to wrangle with. I understand the engineering turn around on this can take a few sprints but the customer turn around should be very quick. Please let me know what steps I should take to get this resolved. Hey Steve, I took it to the icore south africa and they tried that but it didn't work, then they did a complete reset but unfortunately they cannot restore the machine since it keeps restarting every 2 minutes while doing the restore.
They said to me that the machine needs to be replace but they cannot replace it as it was not bought in South Africa. Is there some way or place I can contact in the US that I can ship the item back to and get it fixed or replaced ?

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be copied & renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to an earlier state. Look for a recent .tmp file that is similar in size to the .itl files in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder. If it has happened repeatedly you may want the earliest such file generated since the last iTunes upgrade.
If applicable, see iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor to most since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems in some cases it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any AV scanning process.

Playlists have disappeared and songs play only 1 min.

Hi,
I have spotify premium but in my iPhone suddenly the playlists have disappeared, the all songs in starred as well and when I select a song, only plays during 1 min.
I have log out and log in, delete and download again the app, check in my computer if the premium account is on, but nothing works! This problem is only in the iphone, it works perfect on iPad or computer.
What else can I try?

Issue occured after batteries were out and after recharging the Iphone I could not access the Spotify App on my Iphone.
After deleting the Spotify App, turn my Iphone off and on again, reinstalling the Spotify app I had access again to the Spotify app, however my playlists are no longer visible on my Iphone.
The only way to get to my playlists again is via 'recently played'.
However it is also not possible to set anymore to 'offline' for my own playlists (that I compiled myself), that are listed only under 'Recently played' since it will be put back again to the original online only.
Spotify, could you please sort this out since I am going on holiday soon.

ITunes playlist songs disappear when selected to play

iTunes playlist songs disappear when selected to play - ie double-clicked, or clicked once and then play selected. The song doesn't play although there is a brief 'flash' of something at the top of the screen where you would normally see the song details mwhile playing.
The song is not deleted from the library but is still missing from the playlist when iTunes is restarted.

Playlist icon disappeared?

For some reason, possibly the recent update, my Nano 6 home screen changed in two ways: The icons switched to large from small and the separate icon for Playlist is gone. Playlist is now found under the Music icon.
I changed the size of the icons but do not see where to add back Playlist. On the listing of icons (on/off), Playlist is not one of the options?

Thank you for attempting to solve my problem. I am new to this and my discription of the problem I am having is not adequate. I will try to explain: when I am in the Library section there are options, I chose 'Music'. This choice gives a bar displaying further choices in the music category, i.e., playlist, generes, radio, artist, etc, This bar is missing 'playlist'; it has always been there before yesterday. Using the playlist choice allows me to create a new playlist, import my music, via CD and computer, to 'add to' the created playlist. The 'playlist icon choice' disappeared yesterday after I had been importing music. I may have inadvertently touched a key on my keyboard or something else that made it disappear. As I said, I am very new to this, however, had been successful in importing music and syncing content to my new iPod. I had previously imported 60+ playlists without difficulty. I am truly at a loss. Hopefully clarification will allow you to help. Thank you so much for your interest and time.

I have a problem when i print a PDF which has been developed and save a A3 Landscape Visio document as a PDF format
When the saved A3 landscape PDF document is printed it prints as a PDF A4 Portrait?
I can change the printer settings to the correct A3 Landscape and it will print as A3 Landscape.
As this Visio-PDF is part of a overall document this causes problems when the overall document is printed off.
Can you provide help with this?

I am able to download a pdf form,when it comes to printing, it downloads into the print queue, but then the queue disappears and the documents are not printed. I have windows XP and a Canon MP 140 printer.

I just sent an enhancement request to Apple regarding the lack of a feature to clearly show which music is has been downloaded and saved to an iOS device, please read the request I sent and consider sending yours to Apple also:
Hi, for those of us who are iTunes Match sibscribers and who don't have all-you-can-eat data plans on our iOS devices, the best option is to download the music we plan on listening to while we're on the move before we leave home.
At the moment there is no easy way to find music downloaded to an iOS device from iTunes Match.
Please either add a field within the iOS Music app titled 'downloaded from iTunes Match' or simply, 'iTunes Match', which could be selected alongside 'Songs', 'Compilations', 'Genres' etc, or add a field to Smart Playlists in iTunes which would also allow you to see which songs have been downloaded from iTunes Match and are available to play without a network connection.

On the iOS device go to Settings > Music and set "show all music" to OFF (not green).

Missing Playlists on Left Hand Menu

I recently upgraded to version 9 and found out that only 10 of 40 my playlists appear on the left hand column. Yet when I view the list on the right hand side, all the music is there.
How can I get the rest of the playlists to re-appear on the left hand side?
I'm using Windows XP on a desktop. Thanks.

The triangle next to the main Playlists folder is pointing down.
I set up a subfolder for a few streaming radio stations. The missing (and non-missing) playlists have not been put into a subfolder. They are all smart playlists (I don't know if that makes a difference).
I have the latest Itunes. Should I try re-installing?

Hi, I have just looked at my itunes library on my Iphone 4s and noticed that my recently added and recently played playlists have disappeared. Does anyone know why this has happened and how can I get them back? Preferably without restoring my whole phone.

Solution/work around:
Add a new smart play list.
File > New Smart Playlist. From this point a pop up will appear.
Match following rule is selected
(Date added) - (In the last) - (2) - (weeks)
No limit set
No match only checked items
Live update selected
Then <ok>.
Change name of smart playlist to something like 'New Music' and Sync to IPhone/IPod.

HELP!! Oracle Files workflow definition needed! Please read!

Please read the following and help me if you can. It is really a very important and urgent issue.
We're in the middle of the OCS installation (precisely in the end of the storage layer). We have now to configure workflow, since this has to be done BEFORE the application (middle-tier) installation.
One of the steps is loading the workflow definitions (.wft files) which will be used by Oracle Files. But the instructions we received say thses files are MISSING in LINUX installations (just like ours!).
So if you have these .wft files in your installation please PLEASE mail them to me ([email protected]) as soon as possible. Documentation says these files are located in <oracle home>/ifs/files/admin/config. Probably you can also access them through Oracle Workflow Builder.
I will be forever grateful to all of you that help me with this stuff! ;)

Both of these issues sound like they should be directed to Adobe.
In the first case, it sounds like the file opens fine in Adobe, but once you combine this with other files and resave you get this error when you try and open the files again. It's Adobe that's saving the files at this point (Reports is pretty much out of the picture). You may want to try with Reports 9i, where a higher level of PDF is output, but that doesn't mean that Adobe shouldn't deal with the earlier versons.
In the second case, Reports outputs PostScript via the standard windows printer drivers and APIs - there's no special settings for this (in fact it looks like this is a standard initialization parameter for the printer). Again, you should probably contact Adobe for more assistance.
