Sometime i found very difficuties and time taking process in putting questions in forum bcos i have to elaborate the whole pictorial process in words.
Why Cant we make our this forum more Interactive in way of asking questions by allowing us to attach print preview of what we face in the system.
If you kindly give a glance on this issue and try to implement it for us, forum members like us will be benefited and it will be beneficial for those who are all into in this forum.

"The SCN Rules of Engagement" is a secret (?)

On the "SAP Manufacturing" (space) Overview page, the link labeled "The SCN Rules of Engagement" leads to http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-18590, which for me is "Unauthorized" - "Access to this place or content is restricted. If you think this is a mistake, please contact your administrator or the person who directed you here."

No change. I am still "Unauthorized".

043: Unable to read the Software Rules file

hi,
I have the message "043: Unable to read the Software Rules file " that
appears on workstation object under Inventory tab, my software rule is
activated, their is no other options to activate for this rule, is there
other Nds objects that I need to configure for software scans?

Firefox 3.6.3 does not save any history, does not save passwords. I have read the forum and checked my settings (ok), started in Safe mode (still does not work).

Firefox 3.6.3 does not save history, nor passwords. I have read the forum and checked my settings in Privacy (all ok), I restarted Firefox in Safe mode (it still does not remember history or passwords). Running on XP. I think these problems started when I upgraded to 3.6.3.

I had the same problem after an upgrade to 3.6.3.
I was using password manager for a number of web sites before. Not using cookies but password manager.
After 3.6.3 auto upgrade it did not work.
I could not enter private browsing mode.
When I looked in tools>options>security at my saved passwords the list was blank. The button in the saved passwords dialog that normally says "Show saved passwords" was actually blank (the button was there but there was no text on it).
I did have my old bookmarks and was able to create new ones but oddly the bookmark all tabs menu function wouldn't work.
I decided to reinstall firefox 3.6.3. There is no way something with that many bugs got out!
I was able to get the full firefox executable from http://mozilla.com
I closed all firefox windows and ran the installation.
After re-running the install and starting firefox everything was fine. It must have been a bad download or the original install got messed up somehow.
I hope you have the same good fortune I had!

In reading the forums, it was mentioned that Verizon had to reset something on their end to fix the issue. Would you be able to confirm if something needs to be reset to fix the issue? Thank you!

First, try the normal stuff: power cycle your modem, router, and NE allowing time for each component to stabilize before turning on the next in sequence modem > router > NE. If necessary, try resetting your modem and router. If it still doesn’t work verify it is listed in MyVerizon and then calling Verizon Wireless Customer Service at (800) 922-0204. Good luck!

I can't access the SCN rules of engagement document

When I ever I try to Access the SCN rules of engagement at the link http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-18590 which is found in the missiong, I get the following message:
Unauthorized
Access to this place or content is restricted. If you think this is a mistake, please contact your administrator or the person who directed you here.
Anyone knows how to solve it? I browesed other discussions that state it was solved but it clearly isnt't.

Although I appreciate the sentiments and would speed the initial diagnosis. I do feel it would put some members off, in particular ones who have had a issue for some time and more so customers who have had the "helpline" experience and have been passed pillar to post. Being directed to another link comes across for me, as a bit "helpline". I feel at this point, many would want some 1 to 1 (therapy) and they are being listened too with regards to there broadband issue.
I've seen users irate very recently, just by a simple request of hub stats posted by copy & paste. We all do it, however it can come across, corporate avoidance (helpline). At times I have PM, something similar with regards to our end responsibilities, depending how I believe, they are presenting themselves on the forum

Pops & clicks, and i read the forum already

I tried everything in the forum so far and still have the pops a clicks. how do i get rid of them? this all started after i installed my new asus a8v motherboard and amd64 chip. i am only running in 32 bit though.

Story won't update. And I've read the forum posts!

I have a desktop version of Story installed well before May 2012. It's on a Mac running OS 10.8.2.
When I launch Story, it wants to update itelf. But never completes the process. I've read all the forum posts so have tried installing the latest version of Adobe AIR (3.6) and downloading the Story installer from the links provided by Adobe forum moderators. When I run the installer via AIR, I get this message every time.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured.
I've tried deleting Story from the Applications folder. I've tried different versions of Adobe AIR. Same result. I have nothing left to try.
Can anyone help?

Thanks for the reply. I made sure that the Story application was not in the Applications folder, and tried again. Still no luck.
But then I searched my whole system - and noticed there was a back-up copy of the Story application on an attached firewire hard drive. I unmounted this drive - and tried the installer again - with success!
It seems the installer doesn't just look in the Application folder for old copies of Story - it scans the whole system and every disk it can find.
So - problem solved. And thanks again for your fast responses. Really appreciated. I can get back to writing now.

I can't find the rich text button when I post a new thread in the sap forum

I had a EP system witch sp15,and I deploy a sap new forums,but recently I found when I post a new thread,I can't find the" rich text" button and the "plain text"button and the "preview"button,the bold,italics,underline function is invalidate,and I find the IE page has notice "the erroe on page" when my error occured.
eg:when I want to post a new thread,the post page of IE give me a notice "the error on page",I click the notice,find it said:"error:MultiSelector not defined" or "error:MCTabs not defined".
Who can help me?

I know this is an old thread but wanted to post the resolution that I found when I had this problem.
Basically the problem is because the Quicklink is not set properly.
I had to make sure that the Page Quicklink property was set to 'forums'.
I also had to make sure that the Email Settings in the Admin Console had the following property:
'URL for your installation:' had to be set to http://myportalserver.50800/forums.
Hope that helps someone who has the issue sometime.

Horizontal guide would not appear out of the top ruler since Indesign was installed on new computer.

I feel so frustrated because I cannot get the horizontal guide to appear out of the top ruler since I installed Indesign on my new computer. I can get the vertical guide out of the left ruler like always. I have searched the net and came across a way to get the horizontal guide (by double clicking on the left ruler) and also to get one by changing a vertical guide into a horizontal one (alt clicking while dragging). I was just wondering why would I not get the guides as always from both rulers? If anybody can help me, I would really appreciate it!

I forgot to mention that I am using Adobe Indesign CS5.
