Please recommend an ipod touch case

could someone please recommend an ipod touch (64gb) protective case, so that I can have my ipod on my chest using a neck strap! and where I can obtain it from in the UK. Thanks

Let me clarify, did you mean iPod Touch 4?
I'll break it down for you:
iPod Touch 4th is smaller and slimmer than iPhone 4s so iPod cases will not fit on the 4s.
Maybe you meant iPhone 4 and 4s cases? Most of the cases are compatible except for some alignment issues on the volume buttons and mute switch. Other than that, external dimensions are the same.
In face, I am still using all my iPhone 4 cases on my 4s.

  • Previous ipod touch case usable on new model?

Anyone know if the available ipod touch cases can be used on the new slimmer model? I assume if there was a new case, it would be in the store, but I wanted to see if anyone knew for sure. Thanks in advance!

I've been wondering the same thing and don't think they're compatible. Apple lists the iPod touch and iPod touch 2nd generation models separately in identifying accessory compatibility. I looked at several cases, and they only show the iPod touch logo. More universal applications, like screen protectors and A/V cables, list both models.

Does a Ipod Touch case fit on a Iphone 3? I bought my son a Iphone 3 and he wants an angry bird case for it but they are only for either Ipod Touches or Iphone 4.

  • Any ipod touch cases out there for me?

I've been all over the internet looking for the perfect case for my 1st gen ipod touch. I've seen some really stylish looking skins, but I want the protection of a silicone or hard case (I think I'm more partial to silicone). Can I have both style and durability? Does anybody have any recommendations?

I ordered mine from ivyskin.com. (they make cases for iPods & iPhones) It's a hard case that completely encapsulates the entire unit, including a thin plastic cover over the touch screen to protect it from scratches. It's sleek design is lightweight and the clear case makes it almost an "invisible" shield.
At around $30 it's comparably priced with all the other cases out there.

  • Someone please help my ipod touch 2nd gen. wont turn on and it tries to start up and it tells me to connect to itunes!

ok so i have an ipod touch 2nd generation and i have had it for many years.   A few months ago it would not turn on and kept telling me to connect to itunes but the problem is my itunes library is set up at my dads house and i live with my mom.  so i tried connecting it to my laptop to see if it would turn on. well it asked me if i wanted to restore it and i was really tried and couldnt think what restored meant so i clicked yes! and it wiped out my entire library! i was in tears because i had had $50 worth of music and apps that werent backed up!  so i sent my ipod to my dad and got everything sorted out.  but last night i tried to turn my ipod on and it wouldnt turn on so i just plugged it in to charge and left it. i came back to see if it was done and it wouldnt turn on and it told me to connect to the itunes store. i probably have about $50 worth of music that is not backedup this time!  omg i want to cry!  i am smart enough to not pulg in into my laptop because i know what restore means now! and i have tried holding the buttons down and everything and i let it charge all day!  what do i do! please please help me! if i send it to my dads will all of my music that is not backed up sync into my library? or will i lose it all?!?! please please help me!! • Please Help Me. iPod Touch 5th generation will not download music from itunes

My son has an IPod touch 5th generation that he got for Christmas (3 months old :(!  All of a sudden if he is on iTunes and buys a song it won't download. It will say its already been purchased but its not in downloads.  I have soft reset and now finally did the erase all data and settings.  When it started up and i signed into icloud everything started downloading but the music.  If I go into the iTunes app and hit purchased music I can see all the music but when I go to hit specific artists it sits and loads (circle is circling) and won't show me the individual song titles.  I'm sick to my stomach that the iPod is not fixable because I can't afford to buy my son a new one and I haven't finished paying this one off.  Can anyone help me please?   I can add music from iTunes on my computer directly to the iPod when plugged in. So I am assuming this means something is wrong with iPod.    Any help will be appreciated.  Thank you.

First, don't obsess over it.  If, in fact, there is something wrong with the iPod, it's still in warranty.  Now, I don't know for certain what will fix this for you but here are some suggestions, beginning with one that's quick and easy.
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • Please help me. ipod touch not turning on and not syncing with itunes!!!!

ok. so i tried to turn on my ipod touch and when i pressed the button on the top and the little square one on the bottom it didnt work. it was just a black screen. i tried holding down each button (seperatly and together) but it still didnt work. so i thought maybe plugging my ipod into itunes would work. but when i plugged it into itunes the ipod didnt even come up in the side bar thing, like it usually does. and the screen was still black.
please please please please please help me

try putting your ipod touch into dfu mode by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 10 seconds, then let go of the sleep/wake button (make sure it is connected to your computer) and continue to hold the home button for 10 to 15 seconds or until itunes reads it as an ipod touch in recovery mode that needs to be restored, if you need more help on this just go to youtube and type in dfu mode in the search field

  • Please Help! Ipod Touch Gen 5 stuck in restoring mode.

I purchased a Ipod Touch Gen 5 32gb for christmas and i just brought new songs from itunes and i plugged my ipod in to update the songs, itunes came up with a message saying "itunes has detected ipod in restoring mode, you need to restore ipod before you can use itunes." So i clicked restore and after 40 min it said completed but again the message came up. After restoring it about 5 times, nothing changed. I disconnected my ipod from my pc and it just has the image of the itunes symbol and the usb cord. I have the lastest itunes verson. Ive tried everything but nothings worked and i dont want to jailbreak it. Please help!

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Anyone think this iPhone case will make a good iPod Touch case?

    http://www.contourcase.com/isee/iseeiphone/
I know the back end of the Touch is going to hang a bit, but do you think this will do a decent job of covering my iPod Touch/will fit on correctly?
    Thanks for any answer.

That case (posted above) will probably leave a massive gap in the casing, as the iPod touch is not as 'bulky' as the iPhone. You may damage your unit more by carrying it in that. If you want a case, i'd go for something like this:
    http://www.iqase.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2
Still for the iPhone, but more likely to hold the touch in place with it's elasticated sides

Please Help! My ipod touch 3rd generation has the battery sign come up when it is charging, however after several hours when its suppose to be charging I take out the USB and plug but it says its low battery and how it was when I connected the charger. I dont understand whats happening and why i wont charge up. It was working perfectly fine the other day.
Another thing i have is itunes. My ipod touch wont show up on the itunes, it comes and goes in a flash then it say something about an unknown error and it cannot connect. It feels like nothing is working and this ipod isnt even mine
Please help and thankyou in advance!

Hey; thanks for replying & sorry for the late reply.
I just tried resetting the ipod but sadly it still doesnt work. Will it try when its off? Because the USB is not letting the ipod charge.
I do have the plug to go with the USB but it wont work with either the netbook or the wall charger. I was thinking of trying another USB wire and hopfully it would work. What do you think?

  • Magnets on iPod Touch case

    Hello,
I am currently in possesion of an iPod Touch 8GB, and was going to buy a leather case that contained magnets. However, I was worried they may damage the iPod's memory, so decided to run a quick Google search. Some people say it messed up there iPod, some say it done nothing. Could I have an offical answer please

I've carried a 3G around it a Marware magnetic case for two years. No data loss problems. I do notice that it seems to affect the compass, but all you have to do is shake it in a figure 8 as it instructs you.
My gut tells me that it doesn't matter; we're not dealing with hard drives or other things that that could be affecting by mild magnetic fields. But the fact that no one seems to be making them anymore suggests that there are potential problems (or at least, perceptions).
I wish I could find a straightforward convincing answer to this. All I have is anecdotal experience.

  • IPOD Touch Case

Anyone been able to find touch cases in a store yet? Apple, Best Buy, Circuit City...Anywhere? I know that they are different sizes but will a IPhone case work?

Hey, I just bought the leather flip case for my iPod Touch.
It looks so nice and the touch fits like a glove.
It sports a belt clip, so if you wish to wear it in style, you most certainly can!
The product is made by DLO and I purchased it from Best Buy.
Oh, be certain to examine the receipt because Best Buy overcharged me, so I had to wait at the Customer Service center for a refund of the overcharge (they overcharged for another iPod accessory as well - two accessories overcharged by a whopping $8.48 U.S. dollars).
