Please reinstall the application

After having the computer video card replaced, I now get the following for both InDesign CS6 and Illustrator CS6. "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application." How do I go about reinstalling these applications?

delete your indesign.
run the cleaner: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
then reinstall and activate.
if you've already activated twice, you'll need to reset your activation count via adobe support:  http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html

I would lose all my games, music, pictures?ect and would have to start from scratch.[ OR of course back everything up on a portable hard dri've]?It seems like there should be an easier way --hell I might as well buy a new soundcard and it would make it easier. If anyone?has an answer for someone who is not a tech head so I can understand please help !!--thank you in advance for any assistance as it is greatly appreciated. Sorry this message is so long winded, just irritating to have spen so much for a pc and not have the original installation disc.-tried moving to another slot and the fixes I saw posted here with no luck---thank you folks again--Tom

    All the issues you guys are talking about have been reported in beta stage of these new drivers. I would say none of them has been fixed yet. The only solution for now is to use previous drivers which work fine or use some modified drivers which fixes some issues, but not all. Your choice.

    I tried opening PS and this message popped up 'Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory. Please reinstall the application.' I cannot find the Reinstall button?

    I followed these instructions but cannot find how to reinstall PS. When I click on the membership link the page displays as NOT BEING FOUND.
    Quit all applications. 
    In the Finder, navigate to the Photoshop application folder. 
    Do one of the following: 
    If the Locales folder is not listed within the application folder, then skip to Step 5.
    If the Locales folder is listed within the application folder, then drag the Locales folder to the Trash.
    Choose Finder > Empty Trash. 
    Start the installer for Photoshop or your edition of the Adobe Creative Suite. 
    If you purchased boxed software, then insert the installation DVD-ROM into your computer's DVD drive.
    If you purchased downloadable software from the Adobe Online Store, then double-click the disk image (.dmg) file or files that you downloaded. (If you no longer have the downloaded disk image file or files, then log in to your account at www.adobe.com/membership to download the installer.)

    I have purchased a year subscription to Creative Cloud. I am able to successfully download and open Creative Cloud and download an app. When I try to open the downloaded app, a message appears that says "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application." Upon uninstalling AND reinstalling the app, the same message appears. It's not just one app in the Creative Cloud, it is ALL of them that this happens to.
    I am using OS X 10.9.4

    So I have been trying to contact chat support for the past hour and no answer. I spoke to them earlier about my Creative Cloud app having froze and they talked me through how to solve this issue. However, now when I try to open any of my downloaded apps such as Photoshop or InDesign, it gives me these messages:
    "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application."
    "Adobe Application Manager, required to run your product, is missing or damaged.
    Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from
    http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager_uk."
    I have tried re-installing all the apps & downloading a new copy of adobe application manager, but still there's no change. I currently am working with an OS X 10.9.5

    The error message  "Adobe creative cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of the Creative Cloud from http://www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudapp" means that the installation of the Creative Cloud Application was not successful. I would recommend uninstalling the application, manually removing the folders mentioned below and trying  the installation procedure again.
    WINDOWS ::  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE & C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeApplicationManager .
    MAC : /Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/OOBE & /Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/AdobeApplicationManager.
    Please let us know if this works for you.

    I have a full Creative Cloud account. Every time I open any application, I get the message: "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application."
    I have uninstalled all of the applications including the CC Manager, and reinstalled and the problem persists.
    One thing to note may be that I had another problem and someone at Adobe had me delete cache files and some other files. Not sure if that matters but thought I'd mention it. I never had this message before that. But before that, I could not download or update any files.

    Hey Cal do u have a windows box or apple? Do you have the compressed files from the original download or a backup or image of your computer? Last question for now-please describe the events that led up to the error message in your original question. Like " my girlfriend was mad at me and while I was cleaning up some photos in CS5 she cut the electric to my desktop!"
    there is a chance if its a windows box and its running the OS win7, win 8, win8.1 and the systems restore setting turned on that if you can remember the last time(date) that CS5 worked: restore it(the computer) to that date or before that date. Also is there are some other options if its a mac but i need to know the operating system version and other info as to what other software is on your machine plus similar info like sw such as mackeeper, boot camp. parallels that another adobe community member(Bo LeBeau ) alluded to.
    Provide me more info and i can/will help you! maybe even a way to minimize your cost of paying for adobe support if that what you wanna do.
    Another vector that may be worth the effort is: find out generally or exactly what components are missing/corrupted from the application core sometimes there can be confusion(zip software posing as malware) or use in the mac and windows world of wrong procedures and use of decompression of compressed( ie winzip vs winrar) files that lead to CS5 working and all of a sudden not working. Last even installers can get flaky over time. So i know you wanna handle this so u can use CS5; but I need some more info. Have a good one! later and greater!

    Traute Redlich did you remove Photoshop Elements 8 first using the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder?  What operating system are you using?

    Renée in the future when removing Photoshop CC please utilize the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Please run the uninstaller and then reinstall.  If you continue to face difficulty reinstalling Photoshop CC then please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html.
