Please reinstall your software

I'd been using Fireworks 8 on WinXP Pro regularly for over a
year, but a couple of weeks ago, while working with a large image
file, Fireworks crashed. I rebooted Windows and Fireworks has not
worked since. I get the following message box when I try to start
it
Macromedia Product Activation
Please Reinstall your software
A problem was detected with your application. Please
reinstall this software to correct the problem.
I have tried EVERYTHING to get Fireworks working again to no
avail, including Fireworks installation repair, Fireworks
reinstall, full re-install of Studio 8, MM Extension Manager
1.5/1.6/1.7 uninstall/re-install, uninstall of every update and app
that was installed for the past month, Windows setup repair, Norton
One-click fix, Norton WinDoctor, Norton Registrry Repair, IE7
uninstall, VS2007 SP1 uninstall, SQL Server uninstall, Flash player
uninstall, Shockwave uninstall, Netscape uninstall, Office updates
uninstall, etc. Absolutely NOTHING has worked.
This was part of a Studio 8 upgrade from Studio MX. I went
back and reinstalled Fireworks 6 (from Studio MX) and it works
fine, but Fireworks 8 will not work no matter what I do. I only
found one mention of a solution in a Google search to this problem
but it talked about re-installing Fireworks in Safe Mode, which is
impossible because the Windows installer won't even run in Safe
Mode.
The only thing left to do at this point is a complete WinXP
re-installation, unless someone has a better idea?

I would definitively contact Adobe tech support on this one

  • Please Help me Dreamweaver 8 not working showing "Please reinstall your software"

I h've recently installed Dreamweaver 8, the installation process went ok but when i start the program it shows "Please reinstall your software","A problem was detected with your application, please reinstall this program to correct the problem "
right now i am using windows vista ultimate and also Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 is already installed but i tried by removing Dreamweaver CS4,still the same scene.
    I am really strucked !!

It seems your activation is failing.  If you have CS4 I would leave that on your machine.  The two versions install files that are separate from one another however some files are shared.  Typically this is not an issue.  If CS4 is causing the issue though, the only way to remove it is to remove the suite (if you have it) or just the program, using the CS4 Clean Script: Adobe - Adobe CS4 Clean Script .  That will delete hidden files, preferences, registry entries and everything that Adobe applications install (including Acrobat).
Just make sure you de-activate CS4 if you are going to run this because otherwise you will have to get in touch with Adobe to re-activate your copy of CS4.

  • Apple, Please Fix Your Software!!

Can someone clue me in to why being able to just update an application is so stinking hard? I have a password app that I downloaded that I am NOT AT ALL looking at having to retype everything into because they tried to make the app better and the only way to get it is to uninstall/reinstall.
I saw one comment in another thread about changing the file names and syncing again (so iTunes doesn't see it as a "new" file), but that worries me a bit that it'll just screw things up all together. There certainly doesn't need to be any help in this arena!
Is there some fatal flaw in this? Or did Apple just not anticipate the App Store #1 taking off so much or #2 getting so many app updates?
This is getting EXTREMELY frustrating--especially since the AppStore icon on my iPhone itself (I have a 16g 3G) is basically useless at this point.
Side Note: The whole reason I got out of my old carrier and bought this dang thing (along with taking the hit with a higher service plan) was so I could have one thing to carry instead of three (phone, ipod, planner). This is for the birds!

First, for the forum view issue. Go to My Settings (on the right) and in General Settings change the Topic Page View to Flat. Click Save. Posts should show up in the order they were written.
    Have you seen this?

Also, since you said that you've gone through the 5 Rs, I would assume that you used the iPod Updater to restore (since there is no other way of doing it and you don't "run" the 5 Rs).
When you restored, did you use the latest updater?
You may also want to try formatting the iPod through Windows. Connect it to the computer and when it appears in My Computer right click it and go to format. Does anything happen? Can you format the iPod through Windows?

  • Error - The software required for the ipod is not installed correctly.  Please reinstall itunes to install the required sotware

When trying to load music from ITunes to my ipod I receive the error "The software required for the ipod is not installed correctly.  Please reinstall itunes to install the required sotware"
What should I do to correct the error?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies. The notes below the box include tips on removing troublesome components.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Assuming you have windows, try uninstalling iTunes and all of its components as by following this guide exactly: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7, then reinstall iTunes.  You must follow this guide exactly or it will not be successful.  Note: uninstalling iTunes will only remove the application; it will not touch your iTunes library or data.

  • 10.3 OS Upgrade error. An error has occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later

HELP ! HELP ! HELP ! "An error has occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists." appears while attempting to upgrade or install BlackBerry Device Software. upgrading my Z10 OS to 10.3 on both (link & web). but facing same problem again and again. plz help. internet speed is 1mbps and working fine.

I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using...
Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)
Good luck and let us know!

When starting iTunes I continually get an error message " The registry Settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing.  This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes."  I have unistalled and reinstalled iTunes several times and have cleaned up the registry using a 3rd party Windows utility.  Any tips on removing this error message for good?

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • Software required is not installed correctly, please reinstall Itunes

I've been at my Dad's house helping build some tables in the past couple of months. I've turned on my pc last sunday and had 15 updates from windows update., so i let it download and install them as i was unpacking.
I started up iTunes and it said there was an update, so I installed the new version, along with the new firmware.
Since then, I get the erro:
"The software required for communicating with the iPod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iYunes to install the iPid's software."
I've gone through all the 5 R's, http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93716, but I can stil see it on my pc, but not iTunes or the Updater.
I've ended the iPodservice.exe, restart, use iTunes/updater, but the iPodservice.exe is running before I use them, but is gone when I use either iTunes or the updater. I can't find anything in the event viewer stating anthing wrong.
I've read other threads, a bit annoyed of how the forum has the posts set left and right and not in exact order of date and time of post, but that's my opinion. But yet I have not found a explanation of why this is happening, and a most accurate way to fix this.
If anyone needs to know, I'm using a 5gen 30gig iPod. I never had this problem before or any problem before either.
Only thing I can assume is window's current updates messed it up just to make the Windows visa look good when it comes out.

If you get any message about "Another User", an "iPod Service Error" alert appears, or “Please reinstall iTunes" appears, turn off the 'Fast User Switching' - even if no one else is using the computer (Win XP environment).
==>Start=>Control Panel=>User Accounts=>Change the way users log on and off ==> Remove the check mark from FUS.
