Go to Solution.Even if your phone is listed, unless you see the update available in the OVI_Suite you won't be able to do that. Connect phone to PC..Open OVI Suite --> Tools -->Software Updates and check.. If it shows any availability first back-up your data and then proceed for the update..

Good morning. I tried to see if a software update is available for the Nokia 6800 but it seems it is already no longer supported by NSU.
Can someone please explain how a software update for this phone can be made? Which is the last version of software updater that could handle the 6800?
Thanks.It's too old to be supported as it's a long discontinued model, if fact it was never supported because it's older than the updater itself. No updates have been released for that model for several years now.
The only people that can update that old model are nokia care points.

I been a Nokia user all my life and i have used nearly each and every premium phone starting from the model 2110.
it is sad that the way we are treated at least in India here. very disappointed with the bangalore call centre response.
see my message below in the board about my E90 and other problem is that i cannot see who called me last at times, i just called someone and now i am seeing the last dialled number it is of a few hours back from my address book.
My question is that, Why cannot a full testing be done from each and every aspect before the software or an upgrade is released, an upgrade should be an upgrade and not a "downgrade". Please hire us as your phone testing agents if you cannot get it done and give us a week and we will tell you where the problem is as we been using them for past 13 years.

I am trying to open my iTunes on a Windows XP laptop and get the error message 42404 "iTunes application could not be opened. Please repair or reinstall QuickTime". I did that and it did not help. Any ideas?
Let's see if a more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure gets us past that, nancy. See the following troubleshooting document:

Yesterday I updated my iPhone 5 to IOS 7. Today I try to sync up itunes and downloaded the updated version. When I open it up I get the message, " A required iTunes componentis not installed, please repair or reinstall iTunes. (-45019). I am using Windows 8 and have no clue how to fix this.

Hello mustangcim243,
iTunes has various components bundled with it that it requires for general usage. I advise that we completely remove iTunes and all of these related components, verify that they have been removed, then reinstall. To do so, please follow the steps in this article:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

Note: it is important to remove the 7 components in order. Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
If the above does not resolve your issue, I recommend we reset the SC Info folder:

When I started up itunes on my PC I get this error: a required itunes component is not installed. please repair or reinstall ituens (-42404). How can I fixed this? I uninstalled it at least 6 times. Not exactly sure what I'm suppose to repair either. It also says it is syncing my ipod but when I go to disconnect/eject my ipod it says that it is unable to disconnect because files are being used in a program. When it finally disconnects there is no music on my ipod. The gym just ***** with out my ipod. Makes it eiser to not go! Someone please help me!

I have a Nokia 2730 classic.
On 3G, the maximum supported speed is 384 kbps. Right?
I noticed that on 3G on this handset, the maximum speed is only 150 kbps (when connected via PC Suite for browsing internet).
I called up my operator's customer care and they tried to help, but it did not work. Then I tried using the same sim on a 3G HSPA USB modem and got the expected speed of 3 mbps.
I upgraded the phone's software to 10.45 but that did not fix the issue.
Any suggestions to be made in the settings to correct the speed from 150 kbps to 384 kbps on the Nokia 2730?@slash_2184 where do you see that speed?

Between the Internet and your computer, 150 kbit/s are actually very good! The 384 kbit/s are the speed between your phone and the network without any Internet protocols involved. As rule of thumb, in UMTS, you get half that speed as maximum throughput, the goodput …
Furthermore, there are several UMTS network configurations. Some network operators give only one ‘channel’ 64 kbit/s, some give two 128 kbit/s and only a few networks give you all (384 kbit/s). Finally, you have to differentiate between uplink and downlink. Again, there are deployed a lot of combinations out there, like 64/384 or 128/384 or 64/128. At the end, EGPRS (EDGE) could be faster.
If you want to use your phone as mobile data modem, consider to go for a phone with HSPA. -

(My phone isn't locked to any operator)... What is going on?

What is stopping it, limitations in the phone, OS, hardware? Or some implementation needed to be done to the spotify software?
For those who have never heard of it, Spotify is wonderful Internet-streaming, and non-streaming (local audio files) musicprogram, where you listen to tons music, full albums for free, read interesting biography about artists, see related artists in a genre, read reviews of albums,etc. Works like a charm on PC's, and it great that you can share your playlists with friends, and install it on multiple computers, so you access your music, playlists anywhere, etc at friends place, a party, where there is a PC with a internetconnection, and speakers of course.
