I have new Toshiba lap top Model Satellite U400 with 4 GB (ram) (win. Vista home premium 32 bit O.S)
When i turn it on the " please wait "screen comes up for about 2-3 minutes before showing the login screen.
Do you have any way to solve this problem or idea what could be causing it to say " please wait " for so long ?

Are you putting ur computer to sleep? If u do, it can do that. How about when restarting the computer normally from windows?

i have an iphone 4s. the iPhone is unable to comple syncing. it stays hanging on "items waiting to copy". please help.
Eject the device.
Close and relaunch iTunes.

Please helpSee if any of these things work for you. YMMV. See the one in bold first.
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again
If that doesnt work - go to Settings>General>Date and Time - set the date ahead by a few months. Try to update again. If you get an error message of any kind - go back and change the date and time to automatic again. Then try again.
If that doesn't work, restart your router and reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. -

I am using an activex control to access an OCX for IRDA communications. My
VI is setup to wait on events, The event name is 'OnDataAvailable' I have
selected 'ignore previous' on the activex wait on event subvi but both my
events fire simultaniously. I have read this is a multithreading problem in
windows 2k and XP and by changing the execution thread to user interface it
can be resolved, that didn't work. Please help any information would be
greatly appreciated. I am using the OCX to comm to an IRDA device which is
written in the IRLPT protocol. Labview doesn't support IRLPT service names
in the IRDA functions.

when i try to active the imessage or facetime it typing "Waiting for activation" and stuck like this.
when i go to setting > phone > i see the correct number.
i think i read the whole google already trying resolving this issue tried everything, even restored my phone and actived the new sim using itunes.
but still not working same error.
the NEW sim of HOT MOBILE gave me a temporary number which worked fine its was 053-xxxxxx
after somthing the transfer like 24 later hours they transfered my old number from another carrier witch is 054-xxxxxx
and now not working.
called my carrier and they has no idea how to fix that.
they told me contact apple.

I keep getting "waiting for activation" on my iMessage. I can only send/receive iMessage from my email address, NOT my phone number.
I have done all kind of fixing suggestions that I can find online, but nothing works so far.
- Date & time set as automatic (I don't know why this matter, but mine was already set as automatic from the begining)
- Reset network setting
- Changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8.
- Restore to factory setting (from back up & as new iPhone)
- Turning on/off iMessage & facetime
- Sign out/in of apple ID
- Change location from apple ID
- Hard reset/reboot
And many others.

It sounds like iMessage may be activated with the wrong phone number. Let’s see if we can resolve this. First, go ahead and sign out of iMessage and FaceTime:

Sign out and back in to iMessage and FaceTime
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Afterwards, turn iMessage and FaceTime off and restart your device:

Turn off iMessage and FaceTime and restart
Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.

Like I said in my headline, I simply cannot get Boot Camp Assistant to recognize my Windows Software, no matter what method I use. I don't know if I'm not making it mountable or what. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Simply skip Boot Camp Assistant and create the Windows partition with Disk Utility > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU3.html Select "MS-DOS (FAT)" as "Format", and apply the changes. By security, choose "BOOTCAMP" as the name of the partition.
In fact, the only thing that Boot Camp Assistant does is to help you create the Windows partition and download the Windows support software.
Before creating the partition, open Boot Camp Assistant, tick only the option to download the Windows support software and burn it into a USB drive. You will need it later. Then, make the partition as described above.
Finally, insert the Windows DVD, restart and hold the C key while your Mac is starting. Since here, you can follow the Apple's steps > http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.8.pdf Remember to choose the BOOTCAMP partition when the installer asks you to format it.
After installing Windows, insert the USB drive and install the Windows support software -

HP 34401A - wait on event in Wait on RQS

i'm in a desperate situation. I want to measure resistance with LabView 7.1 over GPIB. The equipment i use is the HP 34401A multimeter. For many times it was no problem. The single read example worked without failures and returned the measured values.
Then a short time later, nothing worked as before. I always receive this error: "VISA Wait on Event in Wait for RQS.VI->HP34401A Read Meas.vi->HP34401A Single Read Example.vi"
I know this question is not asked for the first time. But the answers given in the other threads don't help.
The timeout time i changed from 10000 to 60000 ms. The failure is in the wait for RQS.vi .
Please help me, that would be very kind!

GregI have one of those multimeters as well, and use it from time to time in a program to verify the voltage from a power supply...
I always use the method in the vi attached, since I've always found it easier (again, easier for me anyways), since you can control everything. You may want to vary the wait in between the read and the write, since my meter is an Agilent (newer than if it says HP...they had to branch it off for some reason), and it might be different, but I doubt it.

Help please time capsule help please!!!!
I just bought a 500gb time capsule I'm able to hook it up to my cable modem but it keeps saying no Internet connection on my Mac how can I get it to send out a connection to the rest of my devices??I got the Internet to work on just my computer but no signal in the rest of the house... I Youtubed it but for some reason it doesn't do what there macs do... I'm running on os x lion please help me with a walk tru I'm not tech savvy but trying to get familiar with apple products!!! Firstly reset the TC to factory.. hold down the reset for about 10sec until the front led flashes rapidly.
Then turn off everything computer or network in your house... the cable modem in particular needs to be turned off.. this can be hard if it is battery backup model. Tell us more if it is more than pure modem. ie if it is a router you should bridge the TC.
Connect the TC to the modem by ethernet.. nothing else should be connected to the modem.. connect to the TC WAN port.. ie the one next to usb.
Turn on in order after 15min (you can try 5min.. but it might take longer).
Modem.. wait 2min
TC.. wait 2min
Other network devices.. eg switch, if you have them.
Client computers etc.
The TC should get the public ip on the wan interface.
If it fails try again and leave off longer time. -
