PLEeeeeASE help!! Why oh why is connection timing out for only one podcast?

Hi.
Previously I have had no worries downloading podcasts, but now suddenly have trouble with Nova 100's Hughesy and Kate.

When I try to download it, it comes up with an exclamation point saying "network connection timed out".
Other podcasts seem to be working fine, even bigger files.
Have tried deleting it from iTunes and then re-subscribing, both through the itunes store and through the advanced tab with the url. Still no luck.
Someone else had tried downloading from their computer, so URL must be working elsewhere. Have also tried disabling firewall.
Can anyone shed some light on why this might be happening pleeeease?!?!

I never figured out why the java.net code wasn't posting, but I've gotten it to work with the Apache Commons HttpClient. Funny since in another place we use that same java.net code to post XML to another site. I wish Sun would stop playing with their servers so much and focus on Java even more. ;)

Why is my Thunderbird connection 'timed out'?

I am new to Mozilla Thunderbird. And am not very savvy with computers.

Yes, I can access the internet. Everything else seems to be working fine. I can access my hotmail, commbank and everything else with no probs it just seems to be my work emails that are having issues through thunderbird and google chrome browser.

just a shortcut or alias to an item that no longer exists.
Ctrl-click & use 'icon & text' & you will see a name for it, which may give a clue as to the origin. Just ctrl-click it choose 'remove item' to get rid. Or use Finder-View-Customise Toolbar to drag it off into a puff of smoke.

Still can't download iTunes purchases, please help! incorrectly says "network connection timed out"

I've been trying for 4 days to download purchased media from iTunes and I keep getting this error message "The network connection timed out." I assure you my internet connection works perfectly.
Not sure if this is relevant, but this error spontaneously happened after my most recent purchase on the night of 2/10. I was able to download some iTunes extras right before I made the most recent HD movie purchase, and as soon as I tried to download that, nada!
Here's what I've already tried, but has NOT worked:
-re-opening iTunes
-restarting computer (several times)
-deleting tmp files
-disabling antivirus ware & firewalls
-deleting & re-installing iTunes
If anyone has any other ideas to help me out, I'm all ears!

Connection Timed Out (Browsing only)

First of all I want to say Thanks BT for providing such amazing service since I switch from 02 2 years ago.
I currently got BT Infinity 2 unlimited download 76mb and it has been flawless! No problems whatsoever. I even had a mini LAN even during xmas. The speed is incredible!
However recently for the past few weeks my cable connection computer is constantly suffering a connection time out when browsing. So when accessing BBC Sport Facebook or Reddit it just times out randomly then after few seconds everything is ok again. My family streams alot and the laptops on wireless all seems fine. Strangly my bro and I also watch Twitch alot because of League of Legends. The time out only occurs in browsing however during league of legend chat window I also getting a time out notification.
This is not a serious problem as myself and my brother havent had a connection time out during online games so far. But the browsing issue is getting very annoying. Just wondering has anyone had this issue?

"Network connection timed out" for albums but not singles? huh?

When I try to buy an album (15 songs for $10.99) I get the error mssg "network timed out." All my connections are working fine. But when I try to buy any individual single (at $1.29 each) it goes through. Is this a ploy to get me to spend $19 instead of $11 for the same material? How can I buy the whole album?

ps. I have store credit with iTunes!

I have a series of email addresses that work fine in the resulting .pdf (set to generate automatically), but there's one that either isn't recognized as an email address, or when it is, has a few extra characters that appear after it.

I've tried retyping this, starting a new file, any of the usual tricks, but can't get it fixed.

I may have misunderstood what you're doing. If you are relying on Acrobat/Reader to recognize certain text as email addresses (Edit > Preferences > General > Create links from URLs), then a workaround is to create an actual link (Open a web page type) and set it to a "mailto" type:
mailto:[email protected]

Why am I receiving Mailer-Daemon notices for only one of many companies I deal with

I use QuickBooks to send and post invoices. ThunderBird is the e-mail service tied into it. On 4/14 I started receiving Mailer-Daemon failure notice 544 for just one of my accounts when I tried e-mailing invoices to them. All the other accounts are fine.

The error message usually give you the reason. Have to read the notice?

Hi all,
I have a bit of a head scratcher of a problem here.
I have an StatelessSessionBean deployed on an Oracle 9.0.4.0.0 server, which I connect to from 3 different J2EE clients All three of the clients intermittantly get "OrionRemoteException: Disconnected: Connection timed out" messages when invoking the create() method on the EJB Home.
While I'd like to get to the bottom of the Disconnect, I'm not too worried about that right now.
The real issue is that on one of the clients, I dont get the timeout returned for 10 (TEN) minutes. Once I get the timeout, the application resets the home instance, and everything recovers sub second.
Interestingly, the EJB is called from both inside the Container, and from a standalone (non-J2EE) application. Both get the slow timeout.
The slow client is

The fast(er) client where the disconnect message comes back in about a minute is

it intermittantly (<1%) takes 10 minutes before the home.create() method returns the exception "OrionRemoteException: Disconnected: Connection timed out"
For the record, the home object may have been created some time previously as it is cached.
So the questions
Is there any way to set a client timeout?
Why is the timeout behaviour different for the different clients?
Last but not least
Any suggestions for why I'm getting disconnected also appreciated, although I suspect this may be to do with my network environment :-)

When creating the Home object, the Initial Context is setup using these config settings

Have u found any work around / Solution for the problem. If yes pls share with us. We are having similar problem. We have deployed Stateless session beans in 9.0.2.3 cotainers. From client we are getting "A remote host did not respond within the timeout period" exception. But in the server we found

SP01: Add-on connection timed out.

I have upgraded an existing add-on to SP01. It runs fine in development mode and it installs correctly using and installer and Add-on Administration.
When it tries to execute in production mode it gives the error: "Add-on connection timed out" after only about 12 seconds.
I have checked the sapbobscom2005.dll and it is the correct version and special build.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this are greatly appreciated.

This behavior is not new in SP01 to my best knowledge!
I remember having found the same behavior back in 2004...
What you need to do is to first connect to UI API + afterwards eventually do some more initializations!
