Plist items of interest

A couple interesting items in the com.apple.Aperture.plist:
limitPreviewSizeHeight
In the preferences there is no option for limiting previews to the rectangular resolution of my mbp17. The 1680x1680 which is available of course allows for rotation though. Changing the height in the plist to 1050 worked and I was able to regenerate my previews saving a chunk of disk space. (One would expect about a one third saving.) The popup in the prefs now reads Don't Limit despite it now operating at 1680x1050.
GPUForAdjustments
Just mentioning this out of interest. On my mbp17 this is set to 0. Wonder if the zero means it is not using the graphics processor to aid rendering adjustments.

  • Item Based Interest on Remaining Balance of Invoice after Payment Posted

    We are doing item based interest but the when a payment is posted against the invoice the interest is calculated against the entire invoice amount.  Where do I need to check to get the interest to be calculated against the remaining balance.
    Edited by: Tunzyaan Jennings on Feb 15, 2012 10:16 PM

    HI
    Pls try to select the check box Only calculate interest on debit items in the same path
    Indicator which means that, in principle, interest is only calculated on debit entries.
    Otherwise, interest would also be charged to credit items. The credit item would be treated as a debit item; in particular, the same interest rate is applied to both.  Reason:  If the credit memo is not cleared right away by the invoice, but cleared later, both the invoice and credit memo are "overdue" and consequently balance out in terms of interest.
    It will solve your requirement

  • After deleting .plist items, STILL can't find my old email

    I just updated to 10.5.6
    Had some problems w/Mail (ie not sending, receiving or quitting) I solved that problem by following forum suggestions to remove the .plist items in my Mail folder.
    But I still can't see any of my "pre-update" emails that were sitting in my INBOX or SENT box, nor any emails in my ON MY MAC mailboxes.
    Can anyone help?

    Jaguar was 10.2, and Panther 10.3.
    Although your Mail may now work, with such a leap in versions you should study the following now to be certain of all conversion results, and possible need to remove other leftover files, and is pasted from other posts in other topics:
    Lots of issues arose when people upgraded from 10.3 to 10.4 and Mail 2.x, but the issues are nearly the same if upgrading from 10.3 to 10.5, or even from an earlier version.
    For background read the info in the topic at the link below, which while written about conversion from 10.3 to 10.4, would also structurally apply to a conversion from 10.3 to 10.5, even if using 10.4 in between. Sadly, it would appear the conversion process has not been strengthened, although the real fault lies with the condition of the mailboxes prior to Upgrade.
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5664866&#5664866
    In this situation the messages are not lost, but properly converting them for use in Mail 3.0 (or first in Mail 2.0) can be a detailed and tedious project. The best thing would be to have used Rebuild on every mailbox prior to the Upgrade. Of course I recognize it may be too late for that now, so the "devil is in the details"!
    There is an issue often when going directly from 10.3.9 and Mail 1.3.11 related to conversion of the data in the mbox file into xxxx.emlx files in the Messages folder that Mail 3.x uses. The Messages folder came into use with 10.4.
    An important comparison to make, after you know where to look in the Finder, is to compare the size of the mbox file in any xxxx.mbox folder to that of the Messages folder in the same mailbox. The reason to do this is check whether all messages that were in the mbox when the Upgrade was done were converted properly.
    There can be issues if you ran a still earlier version of Mail, and other leftover files might then be present which could be problematic.
    Please do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you need to ask to get comfortable with all you may need to do, depending on the number of large and complex mailboxes you had prior to the Upgrade.
    If nothing else, be sure to read:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301315
    which was mentioned the referenced topic.
    Btw, if the Messages folder of this xxxx.mbox were to be near or over 2 GB all by itself there could be another problem called overstuffing.

  • How to use value of Report Rows for another Item heading (interesting)

    Hi!
    This seem to be interesting question.
    I have a classic report which has 4 rows with date values. The Row1 has Date1, Row2 has Date2 and so on.
    The report is structured like this
    DATE_COL COL1 COL2
    Row1 Date1 100 101
    Row2 Date2
    I want to use the values of DATE_COL of ROW1 which is Date1 in the label of ITEM1 which can be on same page or different page.
    Also I want to sue the value of DaTE_COL of ROW2 which is Date2 in the label of Column 1 of Report 2.
    How to accomplish this? Appreciate your suggestions.

    Row2 Date2In your report attributes of DATE_COL column > add column link as follows
    Link Text: #DATE_COL#
    Target Type: URL
    URL: javascript:alert('#DATE_COL#');
    And set the Display as property to Standard Report Column
    Now when the link is clicked you will get the alert with corresponding value
    Next step is to set the value as the label of your item.
    If it is on the same page
    -- Use javascript to set the label
    If its on a different page then you will need to pass this value to that target page and set the label using *&P1_MY_ITEM_NAME.* syntax

  • File error messages using DiskWarrior-- pList items

    The files shown below are corrupted according to a DiskWarrior file check. It was my understanding with earlier OS versions, that the solution was to discard a bad pList, and then the parent Application (or the system itself) would refresh it in the same Library folder. I have done this with Applications before.
    I fixed Permissions in Disk Utility before doing any of this.
    And now, running 10.9.3 as my system, I navigate to the GO drop down menu at the top of the screen. While depressing the OPTION key. The LIBRARY appears in the menu.
    Why can't I find most of these items in the Preferences submenu of Library?
    Where are they hiding?
    Is the solution to throw them away?
    Does any of this matter, or is  Disk  Warrior sending a false alarm?

  • Best way to delete a .plist item?

    Hi everyone!
    I have found similar topics on this...but maybe someone can clear it up for me?
    I want to delete an item within a .plist, specifically to remove an item from the Dock by scripting. (See com.apple.dock.plist) If I use System Events I can take one of the "Dictionary" types with a number under persistent-apps and delete the value so basically it works...it's just I leave the empty line with the number there. Using "defaults delete" I can't seem to access this item...maybe it's too deeply nested or I just don't have the syntax right? And I'm not sure about Cocoa? I'm using Applescript Studio...
    I can search using System Events and find all the needed info I'm looking for...I just can't find a simple way to say delete the entry!
    Thanks in advance,
    Reg

    Hi guys!
    Thanks for the reply!
    I have read that post that you suggested and it actually does a good job. I'm just trying to avoid using plist buddy as I don't know for sure if a computer will have it for sure to be able to use its functions...
    I have read the "man defaults" page and I can't seem to get the syntax right! Either that or it's not possible? For example:
    delete domain key
    Removes the default named key from domain.
    But I can't seem to delete anything that's nested beyond that first key? I've read that defaults can't handle deeply nested items well, and in this case I just need to go one more step. (In com.apple.dock.plist "persistent-apps" is the key which contains dictionary entries 0 through however many apps are in your dock. I need to be able to delete one of those entries by scripting somehow.)
    Thanks for the help! Any more ideas?

  • Passing plist Items between views with a flip transition

    Dear developers,
    My question is a simple one, but the background around it can appear a bit complicated - please bear with me!
    I have an app with two views; a flip transition allows navigation between them. In each view there is a UILabel - these display strings from a plist. The first View displays 'Question' strings and the second View displays 'Answer' strings.
    The plist is structured as follows.
    Root................................................(Array)
    .............Item 0.................................(Dictionary)
    .........................Question...................(String) "Question0?"
    .........................ItemChild..................(Dictionary)
    .....................................Answer.........(string) "Answer0"
    .............Item 1.................................(Dictionary)
    .........................Question...................(String) "Question1?"
    .........................ItemChild..................(Dictionary)
    .....................................Answer.........(string) "Answer1"
    .............Item 2.................................(Dictionary)
    .........................Question...................(String) "Question2?"
    .........................ItemChild..................(Dictionary)
    .....................................Answer.........(string) "Answer2"
    In the first View there is a button that allows the user to navigate down the Items to view a desired Question/string. On flipping to the second view the itemChild Answer/strings are revealed. This works fine.
    On flipping back to the first view however, the Item0 strings are displayed and i don't want this to happen!. Instead I would like the most recent item string to be retained/passed, so that on returning to the first view, the previously selected item question is displayed.
    E.g. View 1 (displays Item2/Question2) ---> flip Transition --> View 2 (displays ItemChild/Answer2) --->flip Transition ----> View 1 (displays Item2/Question2)
    I have tried to make this work by using the following code;
    @secondViewController
    - (IBAction)done {
    NextItemViewController *controller = [[NextItemViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"NextItemViewController" bundle:nil];
    controller.modalTransitionStyle = UIModalTransitionStyleFlipHorizontal;
    controller.Question = [[self. flashCards objectAtIndex:counter]objectForKey:@"Question"]; <-- i thought this might pass on the Item index position to the firstView
    [self presentModalViewController:controller animated:YES];
    [controller release];
    but i think this is being ignored when the first view is reloaded.
    how can i get this working?
    the code is presented below and the source code for this project is here; http://rapidshare.com/files/408592175/NextItem_2.zip
    Should you require further clarification (if the above doesn't make sense)- please get in touch.

    The first view is never reloaded and never re-appears, James. The above method creates a new instance of NextItemViewController and presents its view modally. In other words, The first instance of NIVC is the parent of the first instance of FVC, which is the parent of the second instance of NIVC and so on. Each time you do a Flip->Back cycle you add new instances of NIVC and FVC to a growing "stack" of modal view controllers, none of which are ever released.
    Since your intent in 'done' is to return to the parent of the modal view, all you need to do there is send a dismissModalViewController message to the parent controller (whose address is always stored in the 'parentViewController' property of the child modal view controller). So this is all you need:
    - (IBAction)done {
    [self.parentViewController dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; // <-- back to parent view
    Since you already had 'FlippedViewDidFinish' in the parent, the following example code uses that method instead of the code above. Both examples do exactly the same thing in this case.
    // NextItemViewController.h
    #import <UIKit/UIKit.h>
    @class FlippedViewController;
    @interface NextItemViewController : UIViewController {
    - (void)FlippedViewDidFinish:(FlippedViewController *)controller; // <-- add declaration
    @end
    // NextItemViewController.m
    @implementation NextItemViewController
    - (IBAction)Flip {
    if (counter >= [flashCards count]) // <-- valid card?
    return;
    @end
    // FlippedViewController.m
    @implementation FlippedViewController
    - (IBAction)done {
    [(NextItemViewController*)self.parentViewController FlippedViewDidFinish:self]; // <-- back to parent view
    @end
    This second example also includes protection against calling 'Flip' with an invalid array index (i.e. when the deck is empty and "done" is displayed). You might consider disabling the "ItemChild" button in that case, and similarly disabling the "Next Item" button when the deck is empty, but I guess those decisions will depend on whether you want to automatically roll the counter back to 0, etc. I generally hard code array index protection even when it's "impossible" to access the array with an out-of-range index from the UI.

  • Duplicate condtion types accepting in item condition (interesting)

    Hi Sap Guru's,
    When i am entering manual condition type in item condition type column Ex: PR00 basic price 2000/Rs, and again i am entering same condition type PR00 basic price 1000/Rs the system accepting same condition type ?? is there any standard setting to eliminate duplicate condition types in item condition (sales order)
    Point will be rewarded to Everyone for helpful solutions.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi ,
    System will considered if the validity periods are diffrent,
    one ,in condition Type  controls you have one option ,manual entries ha priority ,changes which u can made Through this u can control.
    Making manual entries
    Indicator which controls the priority within a condition type between a condition entered manually and a condition automatically determined by the system.
    &WHAT_TO_DO?
    Make the following entries according to your requirements:
    _: No limitations
    A: Freely definable
    B: The automatic entry has priority. If a condition record exists, the condition cannot be entered manually.
    C: The manual entry has priority. When you enter the condition
    manually, the system does not check whether a condition record exists.
    D: Cannot be processed manually

  • External isight camera shows in use by another application. OSX 10.4.11. Profilers se the isight in firwewire attached periperals. I've tried all of the various suggestions. Unplugging, deleting plist items starting restarting.

    I've tried multiple discussion lists and suggested workarounds nothing seems to work. I have an external isight camera that worked the last  time I used it. I switched cables. Plugged and unplugged camera. deleted plist files but this camera refuses to show up in any of the applications. Sound  preferences doesn't recognize that the external isight camera is attached, Imovie says no camera attached even thought the system profiler see the camera in textural detail. I chat shows in use by another application. The are no other open apps.
    i've read dozens of articles but it seems that this may be an apple bug. When are they going release the patch?
    Any body have a fix for this problem. 6 months ago it workedj

    Hi,
    Can you access it it System Preferences > Accounts > Your account by Changing the Pic and chosing the Snapshot option ?
    Also consider Audio apps as the iSight has a Mic in it.
    IS the System Profiler identifying it as being at Firmware 1.0.3
    In 10.4.x  and 10.5.x the iSight Firmware Updater is in Hard Drive/System/Library/Core Services in a folder called iSight Updater  (it is not there is Snow Leopard)
    It may pay to try Flashing the firmware again if it is updated and see if that sorts anything. (Last resort)
    In the mean time check Activity Monitor
    This should list iChatAgent when you start the computer (normal)
    vcencoder (lower case) should only start if a video chat is started (or you access the iChat Preview or Video Preferences in iChat.
    If vcencoder is showing then use the Quit Button in Activity Monitor and Foirce Quit it.
    I would also consider deleting com.apple.ichatAgent.plist at this point. It is this support app that controls access to the camera (Starts vcencoder) and may be part of the issue.
    A failed chat and a "Stuck" status in a .plist may try to inform the camera it is in a chat but this would not explian why other computers Respond the same way.
    The iSight Firmware may be the only option.
    I have not tried this or heard of anyone who has.

  • VENDOR LINE ITEM INTEREST CALCULATION

    Hi Friends.
    I configured all the settings relating to the line item interest calculation on vendor line items with interest calculation frequency as 1 month.
    When I run the program for the first month by using T.code F.47 by specifying the from date and to date, the system is calculating interest amount correctly but when I run the same program for the second month by specifying the from date and to date, the system is calculating interest for the current month as well as the previous month.
    Please respond.
    Regards.
    Srini

    Hi Venkat,
    The system takes the open items into consideration when calculating the interest. May be the open items that were there in the first month still continue to be existing during the current month also.  Try clearing some of the previous month's open item and run the program.  You should see some difference in the interest calculation.
    Thanks,

  • FPINTM1 - Interest calculation on different types of items

    We need to separate or differentiate the interest and posting them using 3 differerent subtransactions as they need to be identified separately. This is because the nature of the items the interest is calculated on are different. So far the system is using the internal transaction of 0040 (Main trans) and 0030 (subtransaction) and we have mapped it to an external transaction. But this appears to be the only option available currently. Is there a way to get the system to differentiate the interest into 3 different subtransactions depending on the nature of the item? Will using different interest key at item level help? Thanks.

    I had a look at the table V_TFKIVV where the internal transactions are stored. So far only the single main transaction 0040 and subtrans 0030 is used for interest calculation in FPI1 and FPINTM1. We need to pay 3 types of interest and indentify them separately depending on the types of items (they have  3 different subtransactions) the interest in calculated on. So far our tests shows that interest on using FPINTM is consolidated under the main trans 0040 and subtrans 0030. Is it possible to split the interest up into 3  the different types or subtrans?
    Eg, we have 3 types of receipts where we have to pay interest on, they are employer contribution, employee contribution and adhoc contribution. We need to calculate interest on these 3 types of contributions. Trans FPINTM1 consolidates interest for these 3 types into main trans 0040 and sub trans 0030 ie, only one type of interest and therefore one GL account. Is it possible to split the interest  into the 3 different types, perhaps into different subtrans to differentiate them? Thanks.

  • XCode4: Plist editor ignores item order

    This new PList editor ignores the order of dictionary items. This is not going to play well with Python's OrderedDict feature. I want the old Plist editor back.
    All PList items are rendered alphabetically, there is no way to reorder dictionary items. There is another view option in:
    Menu>Editor>Show Raw Keys and Values
    but unfortunately doesn't do anything to solve the problem.
    Am I missing something?

    That is irrelevant. Property lists are based on NSDictionary and that isn't ordered. Apple didn't declare ordered dicts obsolete, they never supported them to begin with.
    There are other XML editors out there. I highly recommend Xmplify. Unfortunately, that may not help you either because plist files don't have to be XML. They can be ASCII (read-only), XML, or Binary. You can use the plutil too to convert between them.

  • Inquiry on Interest Calculation using Interest on Arrears for Accounts Rece

    Question:How can we calculate interest on the number of days from the document date, but only start selecting the item for interest after the item is past due?
    Scenario:
         Document date - March 18th
         Due date - April 2nd
    Desired results:
    1) When running interest at the end of march the invoice will not be selected (as it is not past due)
    2) When running interest at the end of April, Interest should be assessed for 12 days for March and 30 days for April (if past due, interest is calculated from the original document date and not the past due date).
    Attempt:
    In config I tried to set up the Interest Indicator (in Prepare Item Interest Calculation) to have Ref Date as Document Date, but the calculation still returns only 19 days for April (using due date).
    Does SAP support this business requirement?
    Thank you,
    Rachel

    Hi,
    Please make use of the event 2010-Interest: Exclude Items.
    Here all the line items on the account are passed one by one and records which are eligible for interest calculations are retained and rest are excluded by RAISE item_blocked.
    You can put the check in this event on the amount.
    Regards,
    Gaurav.
