PLOGI errors & warnings since firmware upgrade on Brocade Director 48000

I have a SFE25K with several domains. Some domains with Solaris 9 and others with Solaris 10. They have ISP2312 HBAs with firmware from 1.14.09 to 1.14.15, these are connected to a Director 4800 with the following version info:

The firmware on the switch was recently upgraded without rebooting the switch.

In addition, every time we attach a new fiber from the hba to the switch in order to get new disk or tape devices, Solaris does not detect anything until a reconfiguration reboot (reboot -- -r). We tried cfgadm -c configure <dev>, luxadm -e forcelip <dev>, with not success.

Cooler running since firmware upgrade

Has any body else noticed a significant decrease in running temps since the firmware upgrade? I can now use it as a LAP top computer, whereas before it reguired a cooling pad just to use.

Like tcdm said, the timer is based on the rate of drainage at that particular moment. Think of the timer being like the battery indicator of the ipod. On hard drive-based ipods, the battery indicator can tend to make a quick plummet when accessing music or larger files like movies. The battery is basically telling you how much is left based on the rate of power usage at that particular moment, but then when the hard disk stops spinning the indicator jumps back up with just a little taken away. If you see 5 hours at one moment, accessing large files(which kicks the HDD into motion) will suddenly put you at a little less. I set a stop watch on my macbook while it played a movie in MPEG-4 format. after playing movies continuously from full charge to near empty i got about 4 hours (roughly 3:53 by my watch) I count the time from full charge to the moment i get the first battery low warning. after that its just a few minutes before the computer sleeps to decrease the rate of power usage. So far no big changes as far as i can see, I think this firmware update mostly addresses the issue regarding the cooling system readings rather than energy efficiency, but who knows.

HDMI output not working since firmware upgrade

I would appreciate troubleshooting tips for getting the HDMI output to work. I just tried it recently for the first time in a long while, approximately 4 weeks after doing the firmware update to 2.2. When I did it before, plugging in the HDMI cable would automatically start output to my HD TV. Now that is no longer the case. Changing the HDMI output from "Auto" to "720p" does not make a difference either.
Otherwise, everything works well and I've been satisfied with my Creative 7 to date. I have installed several apps so it could be that there is a conflict and nothing related to the firmware upgrade.
Any troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated.

Well I've received my refurbished device for about a week now. The HDMI still doesn't work either with Zii Video or a 3rd party app MoboPlayer. ?I am tempted to reinstall the firmware upgrade again. Is it ok to try this or is it only a one time attempt?
Perhaps this should be a separate thread but are any of the "Phone 2 SD" apps compatible with the Ziio 7? Whenever I use the "Move to SD card" option, there is still no program moved to the external SD card. ?I have a Ziio 7 with 6 GB of memory as well as a 6GB micro SD card. ?My memory settings are:
- SD Card: total space - 5.43GB; Available space - 5.43GB
- Device media storage: Total space - 2.48GB; Available Space - 2.3 GB
- System storage: Total Space - .97 GB; Available space - .59GB
In Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, the "On SD Card" tab lists several programs lists several apps but none of them are actually on the external SD card.

Amazing improvements since firmware upgrade

Hi, I have had a pretty much trouble free (i still have an annoying CPU whine that applestore says is just my young ears being sensitive. Im 20 not stupid!!)
macbook, week 35.
I updated the firmware and now it runs VERY cool, and the battery life has become amazing!!!
4 hours-4 hours 20 mins, running full brightness and on airport connection.
It used to max out at 2.5 hours..
Also the sound is louder through the speakers.
Also, can I just say WOW I installed windows xp with bootcamp and it is AMAZINGLY fast. I did it for my games,
and the graphics card seems to handle the sims 2 perfectly at high settings.
It looks great!!

WAP321 Dropping Connection since firmware Upgrade

MyWAP321 is dropping connections at least once a day since upgradiing to firmware 1.0.1.10. before the upgrade I had no problems and I have another WAP321 with firmware 1.0.0.3 that never drops connection. Is anybody else having this problem since upgrading?

Ive just installed this WAP 321 wiht Radius server authentication.
I have the firmware version 1.0.2.3 and this WAP is now having Connection dropout and dosent connect again.
I have to do re try for several times and again it starts working.
Please see the log and advice me what is happeing inside it and why this connection is not staying persistent with the associated wireless clients.

Hello, since upgrading to the latest firmware V2.0.3.4 I can no longer access the "Forbidden Domains" field in the Website Blocking by URL Address section of the page. The field is greyed out. Tried several web browsers I.E., firefox, chrome, safari...

Nokia E52 email issue since firmware upgrade (031....

Hi guys,
Yesterday i successfully upgraded my E52 to latest firmware - 031.012. After upgrade i removed all previous email accounts (1 MFE, 1 pop and 1 imap) and start a new setup.
i have to mention, that i double checked that the email client version has updated to 2.1.0 (the old one was 2.0.5). There are also several visual changes during the email setup.
Now here is my issue: I recreated my exchange email account and it works perfectly, but when i try to add a second email account (Email->New), choose one of the providers from the list (Windows Live for example) and proceed here is what happens:
1. I get a promt to enter email address and password
2.Then "Validating settings" and "Downloading terms" progress bars start
3. After "Downloading terms" progress bar completes i am returned at the page where have to choose email provider again
Is there someone with similar issue as mine when has upgraded to 031.012? I hope someone will give me a clue how to fix it...

On E52 or E72 (I haven't checked on other handsets), The problem occurs only if you try to add an account which is previously registered on Nokia Messaging Website http://email.nokia.com/ or has been added as an additional account within the Nokia Messaging Account.
Before adding/creating a new email account on E52 or E72, make sure the account has not been registered at Nokia Messaging Website or if it has been registered then make sure to delete those accounts before you add them in your phone newly.
You can delete account from Nokia Messaging Website by logging in with that account first on the website.
Remember that you have two ways to remove the account from Nokia Messaging Website.
1- If the account was used initially to signup on the website (actual Nokia Messaging Account) then you need to login with that account and Cancel the membership. It will delete all the additional accounts if you have added any.
2- If the account was added as an additional account in an existing Nokia Messaging Account, then again you would need to login with the Nokia Messaging Account and delete the account from the list as needed.
Note: If you are wandering that you never manually registered on the above website by visiting it on your computer, then keep in mind that the account is automatically registered on the website when you try to add or create the account on the Nokia Email Client on your phone. This could probably be the case that you would have registered once in the past via your Nokia Email client or directly on the Website. In either case you would need to remove the accounts from the Nokia Messaging.
I haven't read this any where but this is what I have got during fixing and finding the solution. I have created accounts on E52 (more than once after upgrading firmwares) very easily by following the above procedure. What ever it is, a bug? or an intentional reason, I don't know.
I hope it could fix your problems with the New Nokia Email client built-in with E52

Note1: You would have to wait for a few minutes after removing the accounts from the Nokia Messaging Website, before trying to add in your phone.
Note2: First add the Ovi Mail Account(make sure you have it signed-up and configured on http://www.ovi.com/) in your phone and then add any of the other accounts later.

Are you using the old Iomega Link or the new LenovoEMC Link? I would recommend downloading the LenovoEMC link if you haven't: LenovoEMC Link iOS and Android application
Have you enabled port forwarding on your router? You might need to. Check to make sure that the ports are forwarded correctly: Why can't I connect remotely to my Iomega device or Personal Cloud from my Iomega Link App?

Apple TV 3 doesn't start Bonjour services after sleep since firmware upgraded to 6.0.2 (6646.81.1 build)

I have upgraded my AppleTV 3 to firmware 6.0.2 for five weeks but always getting problem in Airplay my ipad2 and wired iMac to Apple TV3. Before that, the Apple TV3 in firmware 5.0 was fantastic in everything. Now, the all-time-sympton of my Apple TV3 waking up from sleep is:
1) iPad2 in IOS6..1.3 can't find any airplay icon, same as my new iPhone 5s
2) The wired iMac can't connect to AppleTV3 through Airplay, neither from Maverick's airplay icon nor from iTune's airplay icon.
3) Further than that, the home sharing from AppleTV3 is found to be disconnected from iTune in iMac
My port-scan towards ApplTV3 at this scenario is found all the Bonjour services are missing, including:
* Remote Audio Output (port 5000)
* _airplay (port 7000)
* _touch-able (port 3689)
* Sleep Proxy Server (port 57206)
* _appletv-v2 (port 3689)
My walk around at the moment is to restart AppleTV3, then all the Bonjour services come back and airplay, home sharing work again. However, this requires me to restart the box everytime I bring up the box from sleep. That means I have to turn on TV... quite fustrated.
I'm wondering if there is any similar problem encounted and any fix. Well, I can't find any formal description from Apple but their trouble-shooting document keeps saying to "restart Apple TV" as last resort.

I finally found the like-symptom causing the issue of missing airplay services on ATV box.
Well, I have one airport express installed in my study room, which connects to the same LAN as ATV3 in living room. Today, I reset airport express to factory setting and reconfigured everything on AirportExpress, including its SSiD, wifi network key and device password. All of a sudden, my iPad, iPhone, iMac lost their airplay connection to ATV3. Port scanning found no airplay services on ATV3 box. It needed box restart to bring up airplay as my earlier walk around solution. I still performed reset -> restore for a "permanent fix".
That said we might have airplay icon disappeared again if there were more than one airplay device on the same LAN that would interfere to each other. Working on one airplay device from ground start would cause airplay service of another box malfunction.
My experience showed this twice. The first was happened when I put an airport express on the same LAN and I posted a thread here for help. The second was in this morning when i reset airport express to factory setting

Entourage has fatal error now since Ipad upgrade

MobileMe may be to blame... my entourage outlook on my imac is crashing with this fatal error: the Databease Daemon will need to quit and Entourage may need to force quit. I think it has something to do with syncing to mobile me. I have been synching my ipad with mobile me and entourage for months... but after today's update, I keep getting this error message. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

Error "ssl_error_rx_unexpected_server_key_exch" Since Upgrading to 3.6.9

Since the upgrade to 3.6.9 was released today, we are now getting the following error on one of our secure websites. Our SSL certificate has been in place since March and is generated by Thawte. This site works fine in Internet Explorer and worked fine in Firefox with 3.6.8 and earlier versions.

I see the same error with Firefox 3.6.9. <br />
Trunk versions of Minefield 4.0 and Firefox 3.5.12 still work, so only Firefox 3.6.9 seems to be affected.

Help..I updated my iphone4 to iOS to 7.1.1 from 6.1.3 at last stage of firmware upgrading throwing an error 16 and stuck in recovery mode.

I waited so long not to update of my iphone4 to 7.x.x because of bugs and not much stable for iPhone4 and many reviews from friends saying phone is very slow and many bugs but after release of iOS 7.1.1 of many improvements for iphone4. I tried to update my iphone4 to 7.1.1 through iTunes at last stage of firmware upgrading its showing an error occurred error (16). I checked in internet error16 is purely hardware issue before my phone is very good condition in iOS6.1.3 no problem with my phone, But after upgrading to how it will be hardware issues. why Apple engineers are not testing properly their software’s before releasing great updates to customers now my phone is out of warranty and I can’t use it anymore just showing iTunes symbol and charger on the screen while on/off showing apple logo. From the past September there is no proper solution for error 16. Don’t know what these people are doing about that error why apple is crashing customer phones by releasing useless update to phones what is the point of buying such a expensive phones don't know what to do with this phone. Hi, to get your iPhone 4 back to normal, here're two ways for you.
1. Use Dr.Fone for iOS. The free trial version can fix iPhone screen of death. The free trial version can do that, you don't have to pay.
Just download and install this software on your computer and connect your iPhone 4 to computer with a USB cable. When it detects your iPhone 4 is abnormal, click Restart the device to get your iPhone 4 to be normal.
2. Use iTunes to fix it.
Step 1. Make sure that the latest iTunes is installed on your computer.
Step 2. Plug into a USB cable to connect your iPhone4 to computer.
Step 3. Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time for about 10s.
Step 4. 10 seconds later, release the sleep/wake button. But continue to hold the home button until a message comes out, saying "iTunes has discovered an iPhone 4 in recovery mode, you must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes".
Step 5. Click your iPhone 4 in the left sidebar to show the device control panel on the right. Then, click Summary.

I recently upgraded to Mac OS X. I hadn't try to access anything in iWorks 09 since the upgrade, until now. I get an error message when trying to open any of the iWorks 09 applications. What's the fix for this?

I recently upgraded to Mac OS X. I haven't tried to access anything in iWorks 09 since the upgrade, until now. I get an error message when trying to open any of the iWorks 09 applications. What's the fix for this?

Follow Sonicray's advice and when you post try to give as much info about your Mac, your OS, etc... Fill out your Profile info.

'Bluetooth not available' error message since upgrading to Leopard

Hi, I regularly seem to get a 'Bluetooth not available' error message since upgrading to Leopard, any ideas why, have to reboot to shake it.

I solved the same issue by resetting the SMC. With the computer off, remove the battery and press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Then reinstall the battery and restart. I haven't had any bluetooth issues since.

Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
